I hate to admit this, but I have a dentist phobia. It all started as a young child. I was new to the area and contacted Dr. Kaufman's office due to a tooth issue. They took me in right away and was very compassionate about my phobia and did everything possible to make my visit comfortable. From being greeted at the counter by the smiling staff to the hygienist and doctors who are amazing. Today I went in for two crown fittings. Dr. Kaufman and his dental assistant were professional and made my experience comfortable. They even called this evening to check on me and see how everything was! 10 stars in my book!!

The dental hygienist was very condescending to me when I did not understand the procedure surrounding getting a tooth filed down, and when my dentist was performing the procedure on the one tooth that I asked her to do, she went ahead and filed down two other teeth. Those teeth had been previously discussed in my regular cleanings (for aesthetic reasons, not health related ones) and I declined smoothing them down several times. The tools were already in my mouth and she did NOT ask me for my permission to file down extra teeth, or allow me the opportunity to say no. I have never been treated with such a blatant disregard and disrespect by a health professional.

Always a pleasure to meet with Dr 'Becky' and the staff @ 11 Wells St They are very thorough, when was the last time your hygienist pulled your tongue? It's all part of their commitment to provide pro-active dental hygiene. My hygienist is the best, never any unnecessary discomfort, and tracks every condition very closely. It's simple, your health is directly tied to your oral care... For me....and insurance doesn't cover it, spending the money to prevent problems, ,,,,,priceless Keep smiling! oh and if you ignore your teeth, they go away

I have been a patient for over 15 years at Drs. Woodward and Kaufman. The doctors and staff are welcoming and make you feel comfortable. Five years ago I moved away, but upon moving back home I immediately called to become a patient again. I was absolutely blown away when I chipped a front tooth and called to get it fixed. Even though it wasn't horrible, it was a big deal to me and they fit me in two hours later to fix my tooth. Excellent...a little different than when I started practice (1946). We charged the large amount of $10 for a cleaning. I won't go into the rest of it except to describe a conversation between my wife and the hygienist in Florida . She: "When did Dr. Ross graduate from dental school? " The response; " Probably before you were born...1946." The hygienist replied:" that was before my parents were born!" I wonder what it will be like after the next 70 years?
