Anyone that knows me, knows my fear and unpleasant experiences with the dentist. My first experience with Dr. Tau was so good, I've already been recommending this office and Dr. Tau to everyone at my job since we are nearby. The staff was very sweet, pleasant and made sure I was always comfortable. I called at 1:05 PM for an emergency and was seen by 1:30 PM, I don't know of any other offices that would do this. Having trouble with crooked teeth all of my life, I visited Doctor Tau because he offered an affordable deal on the Invisalign (which is an alternative to metal braces). It's been three years since I've started my treatment plan and I couldn't be happier. My teeth are now extremely straight, cleaned up and shining white. Dr tau and his amazing team have worked with me and my finances, as a 26 year old college student, to get me everything that I needed. I would highly recommend dr tau for any type of dental needs from whitening to root canals. They're procedures are not painful, the recovery is fast and the work performed is Ivy League!

I submitted an appt inquiry on Saturday night due to a sudden toothache. I couldn't believe it - Dr. Tau called me on Mother's Day asking if I was okay and telling me someone would call me first thing Monday morning to get me in on Tuesday evening for an appointment. I was shocked! What dentist / doctor calls you on a weekend day, especially a holiday!? Sure, enough, Monday morning came and I got a call from Barb confirming my Tuesday appt. Went to my appt tonight and the staff and the office were wonderful! Dr. Tau was extremely nice and knew what the problem was right away. Instead of wasting my time, he referred me to the right place and sent me on my way. I will be back in a few weeks for a cleaning and I feel confident I am in good hands!

I unfortunately did not have a good experience with Dr Tao. He did a root canal and a crown for me. The crown fell out twice after which I went to another dentist. The tooth was also causing me pain so he took out the filling and was shocked when he saw a piece of cotton that was left under the filling material. The new dentist said there was no valid reason a tooth would be packed with cotton. I never got a good vibe from Dr Tao. I can't speak to what kind of dentist he is overall but based on my personal experience it is a one star dentist

I have been a patient for almost 7 years , basically as long as dr. Tau has been at the office . I recommend him often when anyone I knows needs a dentist. He is certainly loud but he is an amazing clinician and does outstanding work. Most important in my opinion is that he asks questions and actually listens which is different than most dentist I have been to. His team from the moment you walk in is outstanding . I know that my mouth is in the best of hands at his office . If you are looking for a dentist, afraid of the dentist , or want a second opinion give him a call. BTW he gives the best needles EVER.

The staff and service was excellent. I ran into a complication while having a tooth extraction. Dr Tau personally drove me to a dental surgeon to complete the extraction. He stayed with me the entire time I was having the extraction completed and then drove me back to his office. He and the entire staff are very caring and professional.

As a successful community pharmacist my smile is important to me and Dr. Tau restored confidence in myself. Everyone is extremely nice and care about patient comfort. They work well together and help out as much as possible. I have read some of the bad reviews and I am in no way affiliated with the office nor was I asked to write a review. I rarely write reviews but felt a need to today. I knew I was going to be late today and called in right before my appointment. Tammy was very nice on the phone, and said it was okay. When I arrived I apologized for being 12 mins late and once again Tammy said it was okay. I was stuck in traffic that caught me off guard. Not only that, I spent two hours there where they happily fit me in for teeth cleaning which I was very happy about since my appointment was just for a Invisalign scan. The hygienist Rosemary was very nice, knew what she was doing and for the first time ever I was introduced to numbing gel that made it completely pain free. Everyone was very nice. The only negative I have is that I got a slight sense of negativity when I asked about pricing (since I was told I needed a filling). I'm not rich so pricing and trying to reduce my cost is important. I'm sure everyone looks at cost and shops around before committing. So that's the one thing that could be changed a little. Overall though it was a very pleasant experience and I highly recommend them.

When searching for orthodontists who were qualified to prescribe invisalign, I noticed Dr.Tau's practice was highly recommended. My first visit to the clinic showed how Dr. Tau's practice stayed up to date with technology pertaining to dentistry. I did not know what was involved in the invisalign process, but Dr. Tau's team was able to describe it in a way for me to fully understand. As well as the costs behind the treatment. They were very upfront about everything which made me feel even more secure. Every visit was very friendly and my overall experience was great. I did NOT need to do refinement, so as long as the patient does their job the invisalign definitely does its job. I would highly recommend Dr. Tau's practice for invisalign.

I just had my first appointment and what a surprise! Wendy at the front desk, was professional, kind and upbeat. I waited all of 90 seconds before meeting Rose, the hygenist. She asked questions and answered all of mine before giving me the most pleasant, pain-free x-rays and cleaning I've ever had. The massage chair was very relaxing too. Dr Su was amazing! After a thorough exam, we discussed a treatment plan in a language I could understand. She was very patient in explaining everything and I never felt rushed. My prior experiences at other offices made me feel like just another patient. That was not the case here. I have had a dentist phobia for years and neglected my teeth for years because of this. I suffer from panic attacks and really could never bring myself to go to the dentist. Not to mention years ago my last experience at a dental visit was not good at all. Needless to say--i knew i needed to go my teeth were not looking nice at all and i had pain on both sides of my mouth for a long time. I found Dr. Tau's office by googling "dentist for cowards in Phila" and i found Dr. Tau's info. I emailed Dr. Tau and he immediately got back to me. I went to his office, had xrays and was told i needed some work done due to all the neglect. I went on Monday and Tuesday of this week and got the work done and i must say I did not feel anything!! i was completely comfortable and not stressed at all! Dr. Tau and his staff are excellent! They made this experience awesome for me!! I never thought in my life i would give a dentist a good review. Well--i'm giving a great review because i now know i can go to Dr. Tau's office and be comfortable, and i know there is no pain involved at all. I have come to find that dental work is not anything to skimp on and I think that PCDE provides the best service for the price. To me comfort and piece of mind are worth every penny. I know that Dr Tau and his staff genuinely care about me and my comfort and work with me to accommodate my schedule and preferences. Dr Tau goes beyond expectations consistently every time I come in. First thing he said is that he thinks zoom doesn't work and that I should trade my zoom groupon in for another whitening program which cost $850 more. Why would you advertise and sell a product you don't believe in? I don't have an extra $850 to spend on whitening my teeth, so I went with the groupon. At the end of the procedure the dental hygienist (who performed the whole procedure) compare my original tooth color to my new color, their was no change. She had no explanation so she called in the dentist. He said that I decide to go with the CHEAPER treatment, that that is the results I should expect. My teeth were not even a shade lighter! When I explained that I understand that my teeth might not be white after the procedure but should at least expect a one shade change. Something similar to what I receive with Crest White strips. He then said he already explain that I should not expect good results and then he asked me to leave the office! He didn't even speak to me for 5 minutes and he told me to leave. I was so shocked!

I've been with Dr Leonard Tau for about 3-4 years and wouldn't have it any other way. I've had two previous dentists, but after learning about Dr Tau through friends (and vigorous online research) - I refuse to leave. His practice is even a minimum 30 minute commute from my house, but it's entirely worth it. This review is for Dr. Su and the support team. Dr. Su is amazing! Can not recommend enough. This was the first time I have needed a root canal and a crown and Dr. Su did amazing work. She explained everything to me so that I understood why I needed the work, she was fast, it was painless, and the crown looks and feels amazing. I can't even tell the crown is not my own tooth. It's obvious she actually cares about doing good work and wants her patients to feel comfortable. So glad I finally found someone I can trust. She is the only dentist or doctor I have ever recommended to my friends and family. The support team was friendly, helpful, and made me feel at ease. I called Dr. Tau's office as a new patient. After breaking my tooth on Saturday, the day before hurricane Sandy. I now had a very uncomfortable situation. By Monday I was desperate for help. A friend, who is a long time patient of Dr. Tau, encouraged me to call the office. On Tuesday morning I called, not expecting a response for another day or so, given the storm situation. Dr. Tau called me within an hour of my phone call and gave me an appointment an hour later! The tooth repair was very successful, but the cost caught me unprepared ... not to worry, Dr. Tau was able to help me manage this expense in a most reasonable way. Dr. Tau rescued me from a pretty bad experience with a different dentist. Last year, changes in my insurance forced me to find a new dentist. I followed my insurance company's suggestion and went to a dentist in their network - that's when my nightmare began. I needed crowns for two dental implants - it took months to get them and when they were finally delivered, the crowns were horrible. The network-dentist blamed the implant placement for the poor fit. Not a chance!! One of the best surgeons in the city did the work. I immediately went home and began searching for a new dentist. Dr. Tau's name appears on a number of sites. One location has several hundred reviewers all telling their stories of working with Dr. Tau and his team. As I read the comments, each of my concerns was addressed, ""talented, great skills, keeps up the industry, knowledgeable, patient and friendly."" After the network-dentist, I was a bit on edge and not too happy. From the moment I stepped in the door, Dr. Tau and his team was respite from the chaos that I experienced. With patience and care, they walked me through my visit. The office has every comfort you can imagine, and key for me - Dr. Tau is a "techie." During my cleaning, the hygienist used a small machine to confirm her suspicions; a cavity was growing under a filling. The thought of another crown offered no joy for me, until Dr. Tau told me that he could have it done in a single visit. In one visit, the old filling was removed - completely pain-free needle (AMAZING!!), and I received a new crown. I work in the tech industry, so seeing a dentist who loves technology is such a cool thing. The system used to design crowns is something that I've looked for in Philadelphia without success. I had lunch right after my appointment - NO PAIN. My crown looks amazing! I am going to have Dr. Tau replace the implant crowns, and I am looking forward to the experience.

Ha!! I have to laugh at myself.. just wasted $1200!!! I ended up in this office for a second opinion on implants that I had placed years ago..in a highly anxious state... about dental work. I was referred by this office to a dental implant specialist up the road... but not before I left having agreed to buy snap on veneers that would cost me a measley $1200.. being promised that these veneers would work better than my temporary flipper and allow me to EAT with them in..WAS I A DUMMY!!.. I walked right into that one. I was shown another patients and what it would look like. I hastly agreed. After waiting a month, I picked up veneers that looked NOTHING like the ones I was shown. Yes they hang on to my teeth fine but eating is much more comfortable with my very old and much cheaper flipper!! Should have done my research.. Much cheaper and more quality products available online!! Truly profits over patient care!! Don't ever plan to go to a dentist while being in a highly anxious state without a designated financial advisor. Ha!!
