This is to Katie Anonymous (not sure if you'll read this but), I don't know how you expect to be taken seriously with your "review" when you are a "former employee", therefore more prone to kiss a**. Not just that but as someone that has experienced rude treatment at Keystone, you coming on here to practically undermine everyone else's truth really pisses me off and shows that you were/are probably one of the rude employees addressed on her because I don't see why you'd take someone's review so personally if that wasn't it. Even if I wasn't mistreated , what you're doing here is gross as h*** and clearly you have some growing up to do. You're on here basically calling parents liars and telling people to take better care of their teeth and manage their time. You are basically trying to justify your "former employee's" poor attitude and tolerance by shifting the blame solely on the patient and that's even more disgusting than the employees doing the damage. You better not have any kids because I fear them having a terrible first dentist appointment and you probably telling them to "suck it up" or "stop whining" like having someone probe around your mouth with a sharp tool is so fun and pure. Have a nice big seat.

Not happy with this place but I’ll continue to come for the sake of my children’s teeth. Just a few weeks ago my son my husband and my two year old all sat in the room while they worked on my oldest child’s teeth and now all of a sudden my husband can’t come back because rooms are too small !!! Then why did u allow us all back in the the room last time!!! Not fair to children who want both parents in the room with them!! We have TWO kids not 5 and we fit just fine in the room last time! Totally not fair and not happy with this change.

Our entire experience sucked! Daughters first dental exam ever. I regret letting her to have it here!! I really do wish I had just walked out on our appointment and went somewhere else! First, the waiting list is crazy (4+ months), but I kind of understood the purpose so put up with it and stayed with them. Second, we finally go in and they don't like our insurance so we had to cancel and reschedule until our insurance was changed to work with them. Third, when we come in both mom and dad wanted to go in to watch our daughters first dental appointment and they would only allow 1 of us. I will never go here!!! I am going to Harrisburg and wish that I would have with her! And fourth, there's nothing to do in the waiting room!!!! I had a child with me waiting for her to come out, she was absolutely bored!!!!!!!!!!!!

Worthless— if I could give them ZERO stars I would!! I don’t even think they have a clue how to do their own jobs if I could afford a different dentist we’d never come back. DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU DO NOT HAVE TO!! HANDS DOWN THE WORST DENTAL OFFICE IN THE TRI STATE AREA

This place was terrible. First the dentist: My daughter already has some fear of dentists, so I tanked to them about it ahead of time to make sure they were calm with her and talked to her about what they were going to do. Dr. Odoom disregarded everything I said. She was mean and treated my daughter like an animal when she got upset. They tried to put her in a head lock with the hygenist practically sitting on top of a six year old! She was so terrified and all Dr. Odoom could say was that she needed to be quiet, she was bothering the other patients. This woman should NOT work anywhere near children. I can't even talk to my daughter about dentists now and I don't know how we'll ever get her to go see a new one. Second the staff: The office lost our first appointment. I even showed them the card with date and time and they still said my daughter didn't have an appointment. This was after waiting 4 months, then we had to wait an additional 2 months. They provide no appointment reminders either, so the second time I called to confirm and they were really rude about it. Go to Dental Associates of Chambersburg, they are fantastic!

I cannot say enough about this place. I'm a former employee so I'll give insight as to some of the misunderstanding of these reviews. -if you have a toothache, you will be scheduled sooner than "months out" they have emergency blocks that aren't to be filled until 24hrs prior at a minimum. If you're being scheduled far out you aren't in pain. You will most likely see a different provider if there blocks are filled. Call first thing at open to greater your chances. -if you show up 10+ minutes late to your appt you will be rescheduled most likely. This is a busy practice seeing half of the community. If you can't give the courtesy of showing up when you agreed to then they do not have to give you theirs. These people have lives, patients, would like to make it home to their families. -if you are referred out its not due to laziness, it's due to the provider not feeling comfortable with the treatment and is helping you the best way they can. It could be more harm than good if they do something. Also, if you don't call the refered options and wait until the pain is unbearable you will leave with another referral and a script of ibuprofen. Respect the treatment plan. - if they saw your child and refered them out its because they weren't cooperative and the environment was more of a hazard than helpful. Some children respond best at pediatric dentists who specialize in children. Do you honestly think a provider would want to traumatize your little one? No. Not at all. Where does that benefit anyone? Think. Also, if they say they are willing to try again after the cleaning it doesn't mean it's because they think it should be done first it's to give your little one an oppertunity to become comfortable in the chair and grow older and mature. - if they tell you they have to submit to your insurance and even though they know it'll be rejected they are legally binded to that protocol. Every patient is different some have medical conditions that qualify them despite it usually not being covered. They have to submit before reduced fee can come into play. - if you have 10 cavities and are complaining you can't get in this entire treatment plan could be avoided if you brushed your teeth and flossed. All of the employees here are amazing. They go above and beyond even when it means not getting a lunch or to get off early to watch their child play a sport. There are renovations taking place and lots of new faces. Please be considerate of how difficult there jobs are when they are constantly being shifted due to construction.

Very rude loud and nasty, Dr.Guo and her team are a piece of work unprofessional and very rude, Dr.Guo didn't even introduce herself she walked in and looked at me and very rude and loud said do you understand english im guessing cause my skin is brown. As she was checking my daughter she was slamming her tools on the tray and started raising her voice so the other patients could hear everything she was saying as she was getting she had a smerk on her face and the other hygienists were looking at her and were smiling. If my daughter was in pain she she would have told me dumb broad they wont ever put there hands on my kids keystone dental is the worst.

Tanya Zupanchick

Every time I have called to make an appointment because of an issue I am unable to get in for months. I went in for routine check was told I have a cavity and needed deep gum cleansing but they would not do anything because they had to check with insurance, Called a week later because cavity was really bothering me they still could not get me in for months. For routine cleanings good but when one has a problem which needs seen they do not get you in for months.

I called and got appointment on March 12, 2018 for 2:10 pm . I went in due to a cracked tooth in my lower back bottom right of my mouth. X-ray was taken showed clearly that my tooth was broken and I had been going through pain for days . My blood pressure was taken twice and it was high both times it was checked. So the Dr comes in to show me my x-ray and tell me that I had a infection and I need to be on anitibroic for 10 days. So I was thinking he would give me pain medicine as well , but he didn't , he hands me a piece of paper and tell me to take Ibuprofen 500 and Tylenol 500 together to help the pain and swollening , I had already been taking ibuprofen at home before I saw the dentist it wasn't working. I proceed to tell the Dr it wasn't working , then I ask could I get like abesoul to numb my mouth, the Dr proceed to tell me since my blood pressure so high it wouldn't work . I have NEVER HEARD NO SUCH A THING, THE FRONT DESK STAFF IS WONDERFUL BUT THE DENTIST SUCKS, I WASTE MY TIME MAKING APPOINTMENT AND I HATE THAT I USED MY PERSONAL INSURANCE ON THEM, THEY MADE A QUICK DOLLAR OFF OF ME and my insurance JUST OFF OF MY X-RAY. Keystone dentist is no good and I don't recommend no one to go there not even to get your teeth cleaned. Then they scheduled me to get my tooth extracted in the next 3 weeks and I'm scared to let them do it because after I come in with my mouth in the condition that it was in, and I couldn't simply get nothing to numb my mouth with to go home and have a little relief,I can only imagine what my mouth would be like if I had my broken tooth pulled out. They Might not even get my mouth numb or pain medicine for home. I'm am so mad and upset with the service I'm just in completely tears of discomfort. Thumbs down. This place don't care bout no one pain or people as human beings.

The Keystone Dental Care was just okay because to me because it's not something I like to do. Going to the dentist. But! There was fast service, and they seemed like they knew what they were doing. A little bit sloppy I say, I got toothpaste on my nose and water sprayed on my cheek but those are minor issues.

You guys really need to start treating your patients like they are one. I understand being slightly late for an appointment but when someone has to drive almost an hr to get there just to be told they're a few minutes late and need to reschedule is not acceptable, me and my wife both had to miss work lose money and hrs of our day gas money and more all to drive all the way out there to be told with a completely empty waiting room non the less that we can't be seen and need to reschedule. Sorry not everyone can just take off work everyday waste money on gas and hrs of their day to be told sorry we can see you for being 5 mins late. You guys lost my wife as a patient she doesn't want to deal with the rude and inconsiderate treatment of our time anymore. Im also considering changing myself because i don't need that to happen to me also. I don't see you guys really caring to compensate patients that waste their day and money driving out there to be told sorry. Sorry doesn't give me back my time, gas money, and missed work hrs for driving there now does it?

ClairValentine

I had a nasty toothache and despite them having a wait on new patients they still took me and despite closing early for a snow storm and having to cancel the appointments for the day they still allowed me to be seen and get my tooth pulled. Now im having wisdom teeth issues and tho they can only prescribed and antibiotic if I had in infection, they did give me advice on using Tylenol and ibuprofen which finally let me get proper sleep which due to pain ive haven't been able to have for the past four nights as well as answer any questions I had while preparing to get them taking out.

This place is hands down the worse dental office I have ever had to deal with. Trying to talk to the staff if like talking to a brick wall if you have other options go with the other if I could give zero stars I would as well.

Our 3 children have seen Dr. Nana Odoom during the last several weeks. We really really like her and her hands on approach. She makes a stressful appointment enjoyable with humor. She talks directly to the children and explains everything that she is doing. The dental hygentist who we have meet have been curtious and thorough. The office staff have worked with us to schedule appointments around school schedules. Going to the dentist can be tough but the staff here have made it great for our family.

1 star is to many . This dentist office is Horrible. From the waiting list for appointments to the service. My daughter started going her when she was 2 .I was told that her teeth were to close together and needed to have space added because she could get cavities since her teeth touched. My daughter had the procedure to fix the supposed problem and to get caps...(supposedly she had 4 cavities on all of her back molars. During the surgery my daughter woke up because she could tell me everything that happened. When we went back for her follow up I told the nurse who had an attitude from jump because my now traumatized 3 yr old did not want to cooperate. I told her my daughter was afraid because she Remembered the surgery cause she woke up..She yells shes doesn't remember anything she was put the sleep...(this aid wasnt even at the surgery center the day my daughter had surgery..fast forward 4 months post surgery my daughters crown falls off during the dinner and luckily she didn't swallow it. And a abscess is on my daughters front tooth .. I take her to another dentist (pediatric dentist) to have the cap put back and to find out why she was having trouble with the cap on the front tooth...Come to find out she had a dental infection from the surgery and ended up loosing both of her front teeth..fast forward 4 months and the other cap falls off we take her to get it put back and dentist tells me the reason they keep falling out is because they have no cement on them.and that she was traumatized from the experience...Oh but wait they also gave me a root canal or said they did charged my insurance everything...I go to my new dentist and the xrays show that a not only did not not perform the root canal but they opened my tooth didn't fill it so its hollow nor did they close the tooth up...SO me and my child are having to have all this dental work done again...I do not recommend this dental office to worst enemy..I wouldn't recommend them to satan himself..If you are able to travel out of Chambersburg please do so...

I have gone to Keystone Dental for the last 25 years and have taken my children there. I have never had any issues. Until a few months ago. My daughter is 14 and suffers from severe anxiety. She has always feared Drs. Since keystone now offers the nitrous I was thrilled. My daughter and I met with Dr. Nana Odoom and I should've known from that first visit the nightmare to come. She talked down to my daughter and stated "This is for babies, why are you here?" I explained my daughters anxiety and seemed like she then understood. The first visit for a cavity filling, my daughters gma took her. They could not do the procedure because a parent needs to sign. Dr. Odoom then took it upon herself to continue the procedure with no gas and telling my daughter that she was indeed breathing the gas. Horrible outcome with my daughter found out that she was lied too. I was enraged. But the 2nd appt was scheduled and I took my daughter so there would be no problems. The hygentist handed me the pad to electronically sign. She then administered nova cane and within a min or 2 she started the procedure. My daughter was in tears the entire time. After completion Dr. Odoom called me into the next room and then revealed to me that she did NOT use the gas. And frankly the nova cane wasn't even given enough time to completely numb my daughters mouth. I was on FIRE!! My daughter still have 2 or 3 cavities and I will be lucky if I can get her to go now. Over the next several weeks I called to talk to a manager. I called at least 4 times and never receiving a return call. I physically went in to the office and demanded to speak to the manager. She referred me to the director of patient services and the gentleman called me. He sounded like he cared about what happened and said they take these things seriously. I feel at the very least she should have to apologize to my daughter. I have heard nothing else from this office and its been a few months. This Dr has a lot of nerve and I would never refer this Dr. to anyone. And parents, please be cautious if ur child is seen by her.

leisl mccrea

while it can be difficult to get in for work there, they have cancellations so if you call early, you can get lucky. I can't say enough about how excellent Dr. Murphey is, she is a consummate professional, and has helped both myself and my husband immeasurably. thank you Dr. Murphey!!

Fantastic! Staff is friendly and understanding I have six kids and hard to maintain them all in the waiting room, would get the last star if there was some sort of area I could contain them in so they didn't disturb others. Outside of that fantastic crew, great care, and recommend to my friends.

I wouldn't refer a rats ass to go to this place!!! Had to go to a oral surgeon to have them clean up the mess they made. This place should be put out of business!

Office staff is heartless . If you miss 3 appointments you will be on what they call same day scheduling doesnt matter that you didnt have anyway to call the office doesnt matter if you are in extreme pain you have to litterally call everyday to see if they have any room for you to be seen its going on 2 months still havent been seen. Its sad because most the clients they say do have state insurance and for alot of us this is the only place our families can be seen i pray that my dentist just leaves keystone and opens his own practice maybe then i would be seen..

This place is a joke! My kids have been going here for years. But since July 2018 I have tried to get my kids in to have there cleanings done and the day before they call and have to reschedule there appointments. The first time was ok but it happened 6 times now. It is November and they were to be seen tomorrow and again I get a call from them that they need to reschedule there appointments again. This is crazy and no one has done anything to fix it.

I never liked the dentist. So i only went when i needed to, with that being said my anxiety was HIGH with every visit. but the staff at Keystone helped me and talked me through everything and really made me feel comfortable with actually going to a dentist. reasoning for the 4/5 is sometimes they are BOOKED so i needed to wait 3 months to get in for a cleaning. other than that; all the other services you get an appointment FAST!

I called in for an appointment for my husband who would be a new patient and was told there is a wait list and it could take up to a year before they call him. He needs dentures. He has uppers that needs replaced and had all teeth removed from the bottom. Maybe 1 year to call him. The first time I called the lady told me several months, that was ok. I called again and was told 1 year???????

NO STARS! Do NOT take your family here, this place is HORRIBLE ! There are 5 members in my family and we all had epically bad experiences with them. They messed up my oldest childs teeth so bad are insurance stepped in to inform us and them that they would not approve any more work until they fixed what they had done. I went in to talk to them about it and the lady snapped at me saying that they had 3 of there dentist look at the xrays and they all said it was fine and that it was my insurance not wanting to pay. Even though The xrays showed clearly that they drilled outside of my daughters root canal and into her jaw, but she would not acknowledge the xrays. Also they never talked about her needing crowns on eighter teeth until after they messed up her second root canal which fractured her tooth. Come to find out a crown on a root canal is standard procedure. Now I have to find a dentist to go back in and fix what they did, after they had already went back in on the one tooth 3 times spending 3-4 hours each time in her mouth. My daughters other root canal that they did failed. I found out from another dentist that that a crown should have been apart of my daughters and my treatment plan from the start. So now my daughter might loss two teeth because of there lack of professionalism. My son's dentist recommended braces to him, my son said he didn't want braces and the dentist asked him why he'd want to have a gap in his teeth... my son said he liked his teeth the way they are and the dentist gave him a stink face and snikered. My Youngest had two cavities that the short and none child friendly dentist wanted to work on before they had the gas hooked back up, I said I'd rather wait until she could get gas and not be tramatized by the local shoots. Because my daughter freaks out when in pain, but the dentist cut me off while I was telling her about my daughter her patient. Saying it wasn't nessesary. That RUDE little know it all took no time to get to know her new little patient. My husband was added as a new patient almost a year ago and he still hasn't got an appointment to be seen, and he'd still be in pain if he'd waited on them... They told him to call back in November when he called back in June. They did my daughters root canal around the same time they fixed one of my old fillings that fell out, they filled it with metal even though I asked for white composite. They again never said anything about it needing a crown and a week later the tooth fractured, when I went in to have them fix it... the dentist said yeah that's why we recommend crowns for that size of filling because fractures for that size filling is common. WHAT? They didn't tell me that before they did the work and it oviusly was'nt apart of my treatment plan when it clearly should of been. It was at that visit I started doing my own research and getting other Dentist's opinion's for me and my Daughters work and they all agreed with my insurance that the work this office does is not standard and the work needs to be fixed. SAVE YOUR TIME, MONEY, and SANITY and take your family some place else! And Keystone don't bother commenting on my post I will never again waist my time with you and there is no way in **** I'd ever let anyone at your office "fix" what damage they have done let alone do any more work on anyone I care about.

DO NOT use the new pediatric dentist unless you want to be bashed by the dentist regarding the condition of your childs teeth. My daughter just took her 3 1/2 year old son there and had a terrible experience. My grandson is not a big fan of going to the dentist. She tried to take him there a month or so ago and he would not cooperate and open his mouth so Keystone told her they had a new pediatric dentist starting soon and to come back. My grandson went today and did not like being there again. The new pediatric dentist told my 3 1/2 year old grandson meanly "well we can do this the hard way or the easy way." Then she put a device in his mouth (while he was wimpering) to hold his mouth open. Then when she found out he had a cavity, she told my daughter "well I'm not the one who put puts stuff in his mouth (to give him a cavity). My daughter told the dentist she was being very offensive and took her son and walked out of the office. My daughter was terribly shaken by this experience and is going elsewhere.

If I could give it a 0/5 I would!! DO NOT GO HERE! I have a really bad infection in my tooth and needed a root canal , I had an appt in December and they rescheduled, which was fine, til it happened again. Not only did they cancel my appt twice, but 4 times. At that point I was in so much pain. I finally got in, in the middle of February and they start my root canal. Two days after Im in more pain than I started with. Im crying, I cant get out of bed, nothing is helping with pain. So I called them, they said they can give me an antibiotic but they cant see me until the 12th. Are you serious?? Im in so much pain, my one side of my mouth is two times bigger than the other side and they tell me to take an antibiotic. This place is the worst!! Do not recommend on my worst enemy.

Stephanie Courtney

NO STARS! I chose one star but Google changes it to 5? THEIR TIME IS THE MOST VALUABLE ASSET IN THE UNIVERSE YOUR TIME IS IRRELEVANT THEY ARE ALL BETTER THAN YOU YOU ARE NOT TREATED AS A CUSTOMER If you arrive "on time" or a few minutes late they will put you on a "naughty list" which entails more trouble scheduling appointments, and the levying of additional disrespectful behavior and policies. I've been on and off the "naughty list" several times as ridiculous as it is. My last appointment was scheduled for 5 MONTHS in advance. They called me 2 weeks before to reschedule a cleaning. FINE. I telephone them the day of the appointment 3 HOURS BEFORE to tell them that I might be running late. NOTHING THEY CAN DO THEY SAY. Race to get to the appointment, stand in line for 5 minutes for them to tell me I am 2 minutes too late and will have to reschedule. KEYSTONE DENTAL you can burden someone else with your demerits and your condescending attitudes! I always paid my bill in CASH. Now my CASH goes to some other dentist who is just a tad less shitty than you! What a bunch of miserable bastards! I am not contacting anyone at Keystone Dental. I am done with you. You have wasted my time on more than one occasion. I already had my teeth cleaned by another dentist and I WON'T BE BACK.... EVER

biggie1973adb

I would rate a zero star if possible. From the front desk to the dentist the professionalism is awful. I have never been to a dentist office where the entire staff talks to an individual in a demeaning way. To adults and the children.

Derek Lumpkin

I won't be coming back here. I use Keystone health for other things besides dental and have always been impressed. I went here for my son, and was not at all impressed. We were refused because we were 20 minutes early instead of 30. They did initially ask us to be 30 minutes early to fill out paper work. The papers they had for us to fill out could have easily been completed in 5-8 minutes, so I'm not sure what the thirty minutes is for, in either case the lady at the desk told us that "seeing us now would put the doctor way behind." In my mind if the paperwork was that critical it should have been e-mailed out for us to bring completed, or perhaps the doctors shouldn't be so overbooked that 20 minutes early wasn't enough. (to be fair to the receptionist we actually stood in line for 10 minutes so by the time we spoke with her we only had 10 minutes left) Honestly though, more than being refused the attitude the receptionist directed at us for not being early enough was unacceptable and ruined my trust in them. I could almost understand the reasoning behind the refusal, I don't understand why people feel like they can talk down down to others. I can't speak for the quality of care once you get past the front office it may be good, and I can say that the facility was clean, but I do not like being spoken down to which is what happened to us. I have already spoken to the staff, and made them aware. The lady I spoke with was pleasant enough. My only advice to the team is try to hire people who care for others. For most of us, we understand its stressful, and that people don't always do the things they are supposed to do. However, in cases like mine where both parents work, we are both now out a couple hours of work, and it's all for nothing, just because 20 minutes early isn't enough.

Taheed Ealy

Ok at first i was happy with the friendly staff , then i got 2 big wisdom teeth extracted and was Told to run to the drug store and pick up some over the counter pain meds- ! Unfortunately i did not have money to cover otc expense. I asked the receptionist if she could have the physician write a script for pain medication. The receptionist proceeded to argue with me on how much pain she thought that I should be feeling right now and what she thought the doctor was going to or not be able to do without checking with her again. Very frustrated and in pain.

Keith

told me I had five cavities that needed to be filled. I was shocked so I got a second opinion from two other dentists who both told me I had none! I will never go back to this place.

Jessica Pelletier

Our 1st time there and don’t plan to go back. My 14 and 7 year old went for cleanings a half hour apart. Someone came out to get us and would not let both of my kids come back. She told me the 14 year old needed to stay in the waiting room or the 7 year old needed to come back alone for cleaning. I was not happy and said I was not leaving either child alone and she said then you will need to reschedule and next time bring one child. I asked her what would they do if a single mother came in with smaller children.... she said we would have her reschedule. The room was big enough for a parent and two children. The worse part is 20 minutes into my 7 year olds cleaning they pulled my teenager back and she was in the enjoining room with my 7 year old. WOW REALLY.... the entire time nobody was there. My youngest is scared of the doctors office so she freaked out as soon as we got into the room. But they wanted me to leave my child alone. They should be accommodating for families. The Dentist and the Hygienists were both very nice which was probably good because I was about to walk out. If your a momma of more than one I would recommend going to a family dentist. One that does not treat you or your kids like this.
