Had a bad tooth and infection and Gentle Dental was recommended by my insurance provider. Called that Saturday morning and they got me in 1st thing Monday morning and i was extremely happy. When i arrived, the front desk was great and the dentist staff was awesome and took excellent care of me. Will be my dentist from here on out !

We arrived for our appointment. Upon entering the office we were greeted as follows: Young lady at the desk - "Do you have an appointment?" (Unfriendly Unprofessional tone) Me- "Yes, a 1:15 appointment " Young Lady - "Ah we don't do 1:15 appointments" (rude tone) Me - "oh. 1:30 appointment then?" Young Lady - "Hmm..you are set" After waiting in the dirty waiting room; ripped chairs, trash on chairs and God knows what those yucky white spots are, we were told they do not take our insurance. Newsflash they do. Unprofessional, rude and snarky office staff. The only reason I gave it a 1 star...there is not an option for 0 stars.

Totally rude and unprofessional. I scheduled an appointment a month in advance, then called two weeks in advance to confirm the appointment, then they called me four days beforehand to ask me to come in half an hour early. I showed up early to be told that they "didn't have me on their roster" and told me to call the insurance company. The insurance company stated they would update my insurance info to comply with Gentle Dental's sudden demands but the pink-haired tatted receptionist refused to take me anyway. She said I couldn't come in until next year when they updated their roster. Of course they'll make up an excuse not to take me then. If they are never going to take me as a patient no matter what why did they tell me to call the insurance company? Sadistic jerks who get off on jerking people around.

Having dental issues and state insurance can be humiliating (not to mention have a very negative impact on the treatment one receives from a dental office) but my son and I have had nothing but positive experiences with this practice. I continue to be very pleased with Dr. In’s work, assistants and friendly staff, so much so that I drive an hour each way to come here!

I had went in for root canals.. one of the doctors was very good with numbing my mouth as to the other I told him it wasn’t numb and he began to drill anyways and stopped when I had jumped and grabbed his nurse .. the other doctor was the main one that did my crowns and all of that he had told me that I was finished and that I would come back for a cleaning. I was actually happy with my mouth until a month later my same teeth started to hurt and you can now see my teeth behind my crowns.. a few months ago I get a call telling me they have my real permanent crowns .. are you kidding me ? No one told me these were temporary!! I’m so not happy !! The voicemail she left me was pretty rude too..

Dr. In and his team are spot on awesome. I value the opportunity to have Dr. In himself clean and examine my teeth (a rarity from my previous dental experience) and appreciate his dentistry. The Front office is rude and inconsiderate of the patients, . Doesn't return calls major attitude problems , I Wonder if Dr In knows about what goes on while he takes care of his patients. I have To rate or this post won't post but if I had my choice they would receive a minus. What a shame How the office has changed. .

When I went to Gentle Dental, I thought the dentists were very distracted. I did not enjoy my experience. The only time they did a good job was when I got teeth pulled, and Dr. In did that himself. I really think they could a better job treating their patients better.

Made an appointment through the district office; was told by the secretary that my Medicaid provider was accepted (as did the website and Pa's Medicaid site). Changed my schedule around to make the appointment work. Two days before I was scheduled to come in they call and tell me, 'oops, we don't accept your plan'. Incredibly unprofessional. Would not recommend this dental provider to anyone.

Dr. In is supremely professional. His technique with the novacaine is as painless as it can possibly be. Front desk receptionist is always bright and helpful. As is all the staff, but the receptionist especially. I've had some issues with time in the waiting room, but time in the chair is quick and efficient.

This should really be negative 5 stars. Got there 15 minutes early to complete new patient paperwork. Front desk was polite. A hygienist who clearly didn't want to be there came out about 30 minutes past my appointment time and called out a name in a subtle island accent that sounded just like my last name. I acknowledged and walked back only to realize after she said I was getting a filling that I wasn't supposed to be in that chair. I was just getting a routine cleaning as a first time patient. She seemed very annoyed and not present. I went back to the waiting room and waited another hour counting 5 people who came in after me go back for service. A parent was allowing a 2 year old to run around the waiting room pulling decorations from off the wall and all but climbing on other people waiting in the room. I then went to the receptionist and mentioned politely that I have waited over an hour and would probably need to reschedule, so she said, 'if you can wait one minute I can check for you', so I waited. When she came back she said there was an emergency and that they'd be right with me. I agreed and waited another 5 min hoping I wouldn't get the clueless hygienist, but lucky me I did. And there was no emergency, they had just skipped over me. When I eventually sat back down in the chair the grouchy hygienist said I would need x-rays, and I politely opted out. She got annoyed again then blew hot air and asked the doctor in the next bay over if I could skip the x-rays and just get the cleaning. He said, 'I can't do an exam without x-rays.' Total BS especially considering I signed an acknowledgment that stated I could waive any dental care or services. The unfriendly hygienist clearly didn't want to be bothered with me and asked if I wanted to reschedule. So I just got up, motioned for my kid to come with me and walked out. This is what you get when you go to a strip mall dentist. There was no way I was letting that hygienist touch my mouth. This is an honest review that just so happens to be a bad one. Can I get my two hours back Gentle Dental? And they'll probably still put a claim into my cut rate insurance. Really hope my employer switches us all back to Aetna so I can go to my last dentist of 15 years! Stay away from this place!

Gentle Dental lives up to its name. The dentist and his assistants were gentle and caring. I did not even feel the needle pinch through my skin in my mouth nor did I feel the drilling. I had my first appointment with Gentle Dental this morning. I was a little worried as there was an error with my insurance info prior to my appointment and I almost didn't go. When I mentioned how upset I was over this to the receptionist she handled it very well and corrected it. Everyone I dealt with in this office was above and beyond super friendly and awesome. I even got 2 cavities taken care of which I wasn't expecting to be able to get taken care of in my first visit. I will be keeping them as my dentist going forward. Super awesome people!

Very long waiting time. My appointment was for 2:00. I arrived on time, with all of my paperwork filled out. 45 Minutes later, I still wasn't seen, yet a patient who arrived 15 minutes after I arrived was called back to be seen. I politely told them I could not wait any longer, as I had to be home for my granddaughter to get home from school. My time is important and there is no reason why a "schedule" appointment should result in over a 45 minute wait. I was very disappointed.

Had to have a crown after a root canal. Series of calamities, repeated broken temps , 1st final cap cracked. Finally permanent cap mis- fitted resulting in uneven bite, less than hospitable dentist. The best thing is that I have moved on

Good hours of availability. Staff is friendly, but I’ve heard other patients having issues with scheduling or payments so always just double check on things. Would recommend to someone who only needs to visit the dentist maybe 1-2 times a year for checkups, but trust the Dentists enough to be able to go there is there was a more serious issue. Never had a problem when I’ve visited and have received quality work.

Best dentistry hands down!!!! Soon as i walk in im always greeted by the sweetest girls. All of them are so sweet and fun to talk to. Today i saw alana!!! Shes so stinkin sweet. I have avoided the dentist for some time so obviously i had some issues with my gums and teeth. Not one employee has made me feel bad. Ive been coming back every few weeks to fix my issues... both dentist and hygienist are so nice!!! I recommend this place to all and mostly anyone with dental fears. They are to helpful and walk you through all the steps.

She also treated me this way when I was in for my appointment just 4 days prior. They took me in when I did not have an appointment scheduled. Called for an emergency appointment. The girl took all my information, including my insurance. Said she couldn't get me in for a week but to call the next day if I was in pain. Called the next morning and spoke with a different person who said she could get me in the next day and didn't know why I wasn't offered that emergency appointment. She also verified my information, including my insurance. I took time off from work, losing pay in doing so, only to get there and have the girl at the front desk tell me they don't take my insurance. I asked her why they didn't tell me that when they asked for my insurance over the phone...twice! She made an excuse that I may have talked to someone new who may have been confused, which is not an excuse. Train your staff. There should be a list of insurance accepted right there for them to refer to. Receptionist told me to call my insurance company to find a dentist that accepts my insurance, which, funnily enough, is how I got the number to gentle dental in the first place.

They were professional enough, but I was always waiting, even when I was on-time or early for appointments, and it was hard to get an appointment. But I came to them because I had cracked a tooth, which was rotten. Dr. In gave me a root canal and I received a crown over 4 different appointments. Everything went alright, I was never in pain and thought all was fine, I even referred my brother to them. When my brother went in, he was told after being seen for 3 minutes that he needed 2 root canals, and was referred to a specialist. He goes to the specialist, who is baffled as to why he was sent there, his teeth were fine. Don't know if Dr. In read the wrong x-rays or didn't know what he was looking at, but I decided not to go back there. Now, 2 years later, I'm having pain in the tooth where the root canal was done. I found a new dentist and it turns out the root canal was done improperly, there is still nerve in my tooth, which is becoming infected and causing pain. I now have to have another root canal on the same tooth, and if the crown cracks during, I may need a whole new crown as well. None of this is covered by my Dental Insurance because I've already had a root canal and crown on this tooth, so they won't cover it again. I'm now on the hook for possible $2,500 out of pocket. Please hinder the advice in the reviews and find a more reputable dentist. And best advice I can give is if you need a root canal, see an endodontist, don't let a normal dentist do it, endodontists have more training and specialize in root canals.

To me who makes an office is it's office workers. When you think of the office the experience when you call, it's not the Dr. It's the girls in the office who makes or brakes your opinion . Well in this office they have made an excellent opinion for them from me. In all of the time I delt with them for me and my children I have never seen a rude person. They are patient and polite. IF YOU WANT TO FEEL LIKE A NUMBER AND NOT AS A PERSON... GO TO GENTLE DENTAL OF THORNDALE! Professionalism not found at this "Gentle Dental". The Office Manager Becky was snide, rude and obnoxious. My husband was in pain (who is/was a patient there) and called to get an appointment (an emergency at that); Becky the office manager scheduled him to come in 9 days from when we called. We called another dentist and was able to get him in that day and they had never seen him before. He was prescribed antibiotics, pain medication and was able to get a root canal done before this appointment that Becky made for him nine days after the first call. So glad that they truly care about their patients. HEY BECKY and GENTLE DENTAL..... What a great job you did for being there for your patients!

Easy to get an appointment, I got lucky as I got in fast because someone else cancel. They had an online page where I could fill out my information before hand so I wouldn't have to do it in the office -very convenient. My appointment was right on time, didn't have to spend any time in the waiting room. Took X-ray, did cleaning and I was on my way.
