It was Over a year ago I was told by my old prior (but new to me) dentist that My newly broken root canal could not be saved and he tried to extract it the very next week (I told him he could not have it until it HAD to be had) I left said dentist for ANOTHER reason THAT deserves no airtime here....and went to seek somebody REPUTABLE AND trustworthy. Oregon Smile Care Center was highly recommended, appointment 1 I gave my prior dental rundown including "that tooth can't be saved" to which Dr Darioush Afshar said "Why cant it" ...and BAM.. changed my WHOLE LIFE!!!!! Two weeks later sitting here in my temp crown awaiting my permanent. I cried for 30 minutes when I got home that day from my appointment. I hope he knows what it means to me to care about my smile as much as I DO! i HAD A WONDERFUL TEAM! The office is with MODERN times, they text- are pleasant and the atmosphere is welcoming. Best dentist chair EVER.

But they were still able to helped me get rid of the pain that I was suffering from for a long period of time, I tried the other dental Clinics But They Were not helping at all unless you agreed to do any of their treatments! Very pricey too! But OREGON SMILE CARE CENTER SAVED ME TODAY EVEN WITHOUT THE TREATMENTS I NEEDED! Can't wait till my next Appointment

I moved from another dentist nearby who I felt was very diminutive. I went to Dr. Hanson on a referral from a friend and I've been very happy with them. They pointed out a few issues that the other dentist didn't even seem to consider. They're very open and honest about what you need and are very accommodating and will lay out multiple treatment plans. Everybody I've talked to in the office is wonderfully nice. I actually have to go in today. I still get the jitters before going, and not sure I'll ever get over that. But until there's sci-fi level advancements in dental care, I'll continue seeing Oregon Smile Care to fix up my smile.

What a fantastic experience I had this morning with Dr. Hanson! I have Willamette Dental for insurance but went to him for a consultation for some cosmetic work I would like done.. He was so friendly and helpful and explained everything in a way I could actually understand. Then to top it off he explained how I shouldn't do veneers just yet and how he didn't want me to waste my money. Other dentist would just take your money and hope for the best but it's clear he had my best intentions (not his bottom line) in mind. They didn't even charge me for the appointment (and I had xrays!). Once I get braces and can switch insurance plans I will for sure be switching to Dr. Hanson's office moving forward! Dr. Hansen always takes the time to explain how you are doing in detail, as well as give you any recommendations. Danica is my hygienist and she is always so kind and cheerful. She chats with you during your visit to ease nerves while paying close attention to detail. Oregon Smile is a great place to go because they are not some big corporate name. They treat you like a real person and make everyone feel individually important. I have been to several big name places and none respected my wishes of removing my amalgam filling, and none spent the time with me to explain procedures etc. Dr. Hansen was honest with me when it came to removing my large amalgam filling and said there was a risk due to its large size. He successfully removed it and I never even went in for a bite adjustment. My husband had a crown placed and it looks beautiful! He does great work and I highly recommend his office. All staff are friendly and the atmosphere is wonderful.

I drive from Wilsonville Oregon to Salem to see Dr. Hanson. His staff is wonderful kind considerate and respectful. I found Dr. Hansen when I was looking for someone to assess my son's teeth. My son had used drugs for a very long time and it was important to me that whoever helped him was not judgemental or meanspirited of folks with addiction. Doctor Hansen treated my son with profound respect! Referred us to an oral surgeon who was this same. That is why I drive to Salem from Wilsonville. The other reason is in my visits I heard about all of the service work that doctor and his staff do for the community. I can't say enough about them. Thank you for your kindness to so many who struggle with addiction and shame.

I hadn’t been to a dentist in about six years when I stepped into the office at Oregon Smile Care Center and to be honest I was a little nervous. Had I done a decent job brushing and flossing since the previous dentist visit back in my home state of Washington? Were they going to judge me for plaque buildup or something? I needn’t have worried one bit. I had my exam, x-ray, and cleaning done by Danika, and she took very good care of me. Some spots did hurt a bit, but she put a little bit of numbing cream on the sensitive areas and that helped immensely. Leaving the office, I couldn’t help but smile - my teeth both looked and felt so much better! I’m actually looking forward to my next appointment!

Amber was all smiles greeting me and one other person waiting. I was quickly escorted back to the dental chair and met Danica, my dental hygienist. She was very friendly and chatty, explaining everything in detail - perfect for me since normally I ask a lot of questions. The technology used to find cavities was pretty fascinating and she even explained what happens with silver fillings and what those numbers mean that they call out when going around your entire gumline. I have never had a dental experience this thorough and to top it off you get free whitening for life! Awesome!! Dr. Sean Hanson made sure all my questions were answered and seemed genuinely happy that I was there. The staff is great and were super excited about a team kickball game that would be happening later. I don't think I've ever been in a dental office where everyone was so happy to be there. I'm always nervous around the dentist and Dr. Afshar was able to really make me confident and comfortable in the chair. In fact I'm so nervous that I drive from Eugene just to see him in Salem. He and his team were able to help my cracked tooth that other dentists told me needed to be removed and implanted. He took his modern education and was able to perform a crown for a fraction of the cost that other dentists wanted thousands to do. He is a bit of a perfectionist and made sure my impressions were perfect before cementing my permanent crown in place. He also had to do a root canal and I could not believe how fast and painless the process was. Apparently he is know for his speed and precision with root canals. I really appreciate all the staff at Oregon Smile, Dr. Afshar and his team are excellent and highly recommended.

Very nice practice! Called at 8 am on a Monday as a new patient having been in pain since Saturday. They were able to squeeze me in and told me it would be a bit of a wait because they were smooshing me in between appointments. Absolutely fine by me. When I got there I was brought back MUCH quicker than expected. I was in and out within an hour and a half which is amazing considering they did a full exam, full x-rays, and worked up a treatment plan. Having avoided dentists for years due to a bad experience I can easily say I'm so glad I was able to find them. Excellent professional staff with great bed (chair?) side manners. Highly recommend!

I am very happy with the care I receive from Dr. Hanson and the dental hygienist, Danica. They have been friendly and efficient each time I’ve gone, and I’ve never felt scolded for not flossing as often as I should. ;-)

One of my big fears is the dentist. This place was amazing. The people were very friendly and could tell they truly care. It was clean , clean , clean. Very modern and organized. The dentist that fixed my broken incisor was very good, fast and friendly. I will definitely coming back here for all my work and have actually considered regular visits.
