I had to put 1 star didn't want to. Aweful place insulted my son after he told them he went into Cardiac Arrest when he was 16 they told him it was because he didn't take care of his teeth. You can't gudge a person when you don't know how and why they were ill but they sure did not knowing all the facts and Robin also said he had cognitive brain damage do to his Arrest .Terrible place and people will never go back there again.

I’ve gotten 3 other opinions... thanks to refresh dental and Dr. Sharon Okezie, I now have to have 2 teeth removed due to her fillings. I came in for a chipped tooth and was told I needed multiple fillings and a cleaning... I came back numerous times due to ongoing pain that I didn’t have before. I was told “you must be sensitive to the filling material” X-rays prove that she drilled fillings too close to the nerve and my teeth have never been the same.

Overall it was a little longer than expected, but thorugh. Now have a plan for the full job. The only issue is the fact that I should have been told about smile care before anything was done, so I could have signed up right then and save some money. Will pay for smile care before the next appointment or my spouse's appointment.

Worst experience ever! Receptionist is rude and incompetent. Went for a routine 6 month cleaning. They took a bunch of x-rays and then tried to sell me on different cleanings. The dentist came in without even introducing himself. They were talking behind me. I got up and walked out! When I paid for the x-rays, I asked for a copy of them. She couldn't print them, so she gave me someone else's. When I called later, to get the x-rays sent to a real dentist, she couldn't do that either! Do NOT recommend you go here.

The dentist did a great job answering my questions and checking the areas I had concerns with. Their equipment is up to date and I feel I am well cared for. I had a dental emergency (chipped molar) at about 6:30pm and Refresh Dental was the only dentist in my area that said they had emergency hours AND actually answered the phone outside normal hours. I wasn't able to get in until the following day (due to my own paperwork hang-up), but they got me in at 11am, so I didn't have to go long with discomfort. Everyone I dealt with was friendly and nice and I was in and out and good as new! I was looking for a new dentist to switch to from Dental Works (don't get as high quality of service as I want) and Refresh Dental is going to be my new dentist!

When they took us to the back the girl stick her finger in her mouth, walked away for 5 minutes just to come back and say that they don't see children. Why wouldn't they say something at reception? If you have a child, DON'T bother seeing this dentist. She clearly has NO children, because the way she came at my son was REALLY inappropriate. My son told me how uncomfortable and scared he was. My son's retainer broke in 2 places (no fault of ours), and she was blaming him and told him he needs to think about how it happened and she knows he did something to it. All this in a stern voice, like she was yelling at him! I will NOT be returning for our follow-up visit!

I guess I should mention that I brought my 20month old son that wouldnt stay still n usually I would've .of felt embarrassed or uncomfortable but the whole staff was so nice n helpful ..excellent TEAMWORK

When I first started visiting this dentist, I was thrilled. Over the course of three years, my experience has quickly spiraled down hill. This office struggles to keep office staff, an office manager, and dentists. In order to schedule my most recent appointment, I called for weeks at multiple different times with no one answering their phones. When I was finally able to reach someone, I purposely scheduled my appointment with a particular hygienist (Beeba) and dentist. When I arrived to my appointment, I waited 30 minutes before I was taken back to a room with several people that arrived after me being taken to a room before me. The office manager was directing the receptionists to schedule anyone calling because they had already lost so many patients recently. After 20 minutes of waiting on an appointment I made, I spoke up. When I addressed how unprofessional and unacceptable the situation was (since no one even addressed my waiting in the waiting room) one of the receptionists stated she had waited over an hour for an appointment and brushed me off. The office manager stood behind her and listened to the entire ordeal but never said a word. When it was finally time for the dentist’s evaluation at the end, it was not the dentist I requested. It was at that time that I was informed she left the practice five months prior even though I was assured I could see her when I made the appointment several weeks prior. I was at this dentist almost two hours for a cleaning. Other than the tech that completed my xrays and my hygienist, I’m so deeply disappointed with the professionalism and chaos at this location. I’ll be moving on from this location since they cannot fulfill their mission statement whatsoever.

Living further south I usually go to the refresh dental in medina being very close to me but whenever I called medina one day to see if I could get my tooth pulled in middleburgh that day (they had me schedule the extraction at middle and the bridge at medina but schedule everything through them) due to serious nonstop pains coming and going. medina was not helpful at all or even seemed to care, I got the vibes that oh well there’s nothing we can do. I decided that this pain is too bad I’m calling middleburgh to make sure I couldn’t get in that day, upon answering they were so incredibly nice to me and helped me out so much and got me in that day!! Arriving for my appointment the office in general had a much better vibe and made me feel like I was more at home. The staff was beyond amazing and helped me feel good about everything I was about to go through (I was freaking out about getting my tooth extracted) not only did I feel better they also told me what exactly was going on and I learned what a bridge actually all entailed which medina never explained to me. From now on I will be going to this office even if it’s 35-40 mins away for me!!!

Everything was perfect. The treatment, the staff, the scheduling. That was until my insurance stopped last January (CareSource). I was not aware of this until I had scheduled an eye exam for late June and they informed me that I was no longer covered and that they couldn’t treat me. Refresh, however, who not only performed a cleaning but also fillings, failed to mention that i was no longer covered and still proceeded the treatment. I am not one to complain, but I find his highly unprofessional and as a 21 year old student, that is not financial stable, hence the government funded health insurance, I find this extremely frustrating and stressful. I would highly suggest anyone who goes here to double check the status your dental insurance, because they don’t care, they will treat you regardless.

The dentist herself was nice. However, they have a very long intake process for first time patients, and they don't give you a cleaning on your first visit. Not explained when you call or come in the door. Kind of leaves you feeling like you've been railroaded when all is said and done.

Dr Sharon Okezie did my husbands fillings and he had so much pain after she kept telling him nothing was wrong until he saw another dentist he told him the filling was put on the nerve and he now needs a root canal, We went back to her and she was very rude and we tried talking to the manager Dana at first she said the Dr is willing to fix her mistake then she started ignoring my calls and finally left me voicemail that she cant do anything. They didnt care how much pain he was in from their mistake, he had to pay for the root canal and now needs a crown they ruin more then they fix your teeth!!

Refresh dental at this location was much better of caring for their patients few years ago. It appears that they have overloaded their schedule to a point that the dentists at this office has less and less time to spend with their patients explaining the root cause and offering treatment options. I must warn everyone as they have mistakenly charged us for exams that they never performed during our visit or misidentifying the charges to one patient over the other. Being a loyal patient for several years didn’t give me any privileges but rather drove their greedy charges up even for the tiniest mouth opening that they may ask you to preform during any visit. That’s a real disgrace. I strongly believe that they blindly bill the insurance and overcharge the patients to collect more money for their subpar services. I was lucky to have an insurance tool that I have used recently to identify how expensive their services compared to other dentists in the area. Be warned and beware everyone.

I had a terrible experience at Refresh dental in July 2019. They were insulting, insensitive and told me I needed FIVE crowns (work which is not covered by my dental insurance) totaling $5200. This news came after my second appointment in a year- the first one they said nothing about needing even a single crown. Five crowns needed out of nowhere?? I have been warned corporate dental offices are dishonest and only out to make money, and I now see from my own experience this is the case. I have already had a consultation with a family owned dental office and I do not need five crowns; I need one. I will definitely not return to Refresh and neither will my family members. If you are given a plan with ridiculous cost involved, get a second opinion!

I see people have given them 4 star but I can not on the basis of my recent experience. I reached to this location at 4:15PM for my 4:30PM appointment. Currently its 5:34PM EST, still waiting, its not acceptable. If there is 1+ hour waiting, shouldn't they call and tell people to be prepared. They have not even told me while checking-in. After asking couple of time they said we are running lil behind. So running 1+ hours behind is 'lil' behind in their terms. I have 2 kids with me and both of them has some classes from 6:00PM, just because of their irresponsible attitude my kids are all tired while waiting and now they have to miss their classes. Advise to people: Confirm with them if they can see you at the given appointment time. I will update my experience with dentist and staff if they take me in in next few minutes, otherwise I am done and will leave to not come back ever. Update: so that days, finally I am able to get in after waiting for around one and a half hour. Staff gave me a word of advice that "from next time call before coming for an appointment".. really??? I mean really??? You gotta be kidding me. So you are not able to keep up with your schedule and you are asking me to first call and then come. Is'nt it your responsibility to call patient and let them know thats you are running behind. While leaving they asked..you wanna schedule next appointment? I said thank you but no thanks. Good bye Refresh Dental of Middleburg hights.

I started at another Refresh Dental office in December and was sent to this office and my procedure STILL has not been completed and was told today that it will be ANOTHER two week wait. I am totally frustrated and disappointed at the service provider and the inability to handle a very simple procedure. The Middleburg Heights office did their best to rectify the situation and I hold them harmless. Alex went the extra mile on my behalf and deserves kudos for his efforts.

The entire staff, from Office Mngr, Receptionist, hygienists, Assistants, and all the way to Dentists and Orths are all super friendly and nice to be treated by...quick and thorough work, rotating through patients in a very efficient manner! It is a great experience, for a dental office! Really enjoyed the staff and doctors who worked with me and on my teeth!! Looks fantastic, too! Very, very pleased!

Seriously, I'm a little jaded about dental places, especially corporate places (but I'm not sure WHY I feel that way). The lobby waiting area is comfortable enough, has a local channel playing on a large TV. The office receptionist area, huge empty, open area without photos or plants, etc. felt cold & clinical. But the staff is super nice, the equipment is very modern, which are the most important thing, so I was pleased & impressed! After looking at my state of the art X-rays, I was told that I had some pretty severe gingivitis (wasn't a surprise). My insurance would pick-up some of the cost, but they were able to give me a pre-treatment estimate 'menu' where I can pick n choose what I'd like (as in, do I want the anti-bacterial treatment along with the scaling?) It all seemed very up-n-up. I sure wish my doctor's office was that good at telling me what my options are! Dr. Sharon Okezie was wonderful. Told me what she'd suggest, but wasn't demanding. She seems very trust worthy; understanding & compassionate. I'll update as I know more (if I can again find this review on the Google system)

My appointment was at 9 AM. I got there at 8:50 AM. I was brought in by 9:25 AM. Long story short I left the dentist office at 12 noon. I had to call off work that entire day.

April.4th I had 6 teeth filled and had know idea I was getting them done all at one time, I was nervous and scared, but they said I would be okay, I liked the Male Dentist and he was so very nice and understanding and was so gentle and asked if I was okay, and to relax and open wide and he did what he had to do. I was shaky and my whole mouth, top and bottom and both sides of my mouth was numbed up from the bottom of my chin up to my nose I couldn't feel nothing, my lips were so swollen I couldn't even tell I was slobbing, but I made it through and knew I was okay. I couldn't even speak the way I wanted to, HA HA HA HA HA HA HA !! i blabbed a lot and hubby thought it was funny, No one could see I was numbed up, but I knew it and felt it. But it took a couple hours till it worn off. Glad it's over and done with. doing better and hoping I have the same Dentist. I liked him and happy with him, now I need teeth pulled and making appointments for that, just relax and take a deep breath and everything will be fine. Thank you

Took two children in for cleaning and one child set over an hour just to be told the hygienist didn’t have time to see him. Will not drive another 30 minutes to be disappointed yet again with Refresh Dental as this same issue happened before at their Willougby location. Poor customer service .

Refresh Dental is a very friendly, inviting place to go. Nobody likes to go to the dentist but if we have to, this would most definitely be the place to go!! I was scheduled three separate times for the same procedure and all three times was denied because the dentist didn't "feel comfortable" doing the procedure because I am on oxygen. Each time I was told to reschedule and then when I returned for the visit told again that I was on oxygen and could not have the procedure I do not understand why I was rescheduled so many times and turned away is ridiculous. But I will be talking with some sort of representation regarding this issue. If they are not comfortable to do a procedure on me with my oxygen oh, that's fine I will go elsewhere and get the same procedure however do not take up nearly a year of time to continue to reschedule and then just after I am in the office not be comfortable to do it no. This is completely ridiculous and completely ludicrous
