I just had a consultation with Dr. Eric Hoverstad for an implant for my second molar (tooth 18). This was one of the best and most informative experiences I have ever had with a doctor of any kind. Dr. Hoverstad uses a CT scan to create a 3D model of your mouth which he displays on a 55" flat screen TV which is wall mounted in front of your dental chair. He then inserts into the 3D model a depiction of what the bone anchor would look like that the dental implant would be secured to. He uses this to explain in detail how the procedure would go. He took his time when examining my mouth and talked me through everything he was doing. I was never left thinking to myself, "I wonder what he is doing now or looking for". He was able to answer all my questions in Layman's terms which helped give me the utmost confidence in him. Outside of the medical service, the office interior was very clean and well kept. The office staff was very friendly, I was greeted immediately and I did not have to wait at all. I would highly recommend Dr. Eric Hoverstad and the staff at North Hills Implant and Oral Surgery.

The front desk staff provided superior service from the moment you walk through the doors; always smiling and eager to help. From the consultation up until the follow up appointment after my wisdom teeth were removed, the entire process was seamless. All the staff were absolutely wonderful and Dr.Hoverstad did an exceptional job with the surgery. This was by far the best dental experience I have ever had. We were recommended to Raleigh Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon, Dr. Eric Hoverstad, DDS at North Hills Implant and Oral Surgery by Midtown Pediatric Dentistry for teeth extractions. As a parent, you want the best for your child as she needed two teeth extracted for braces from Zaytoun Orthodontics. I have read all the reviews in regards for Dr. Eric Hoverstad before decided to come in for a consultation. The Consultation: The office was very easy to find as it is conveniently located at North Hills on 3809 Computer Drive suite 101. I was very impressed with the office’s contemporary decor and knew right away that I have made the right decision. The receptionist, Amber was so friendly and explained in detail on my insurance coverage and what the differences in payment with anesthesia. Amber made us felt at ease with her bubbly personality and contagious laugh. As we were led to the back, I couldn’t believe how spacious the rooms were. The office was equipped with the highest technology, and even the music (today’s hits, not that elevator music) was surround sound. Additionally, the x-rays was quick and then was displayed on the big tv monitor from the exam chair. Dr. Eric Hoverstad came in and greeted us and he is super friendly and humble. Dr. Hoverstad is young and you can’t help but to admire his fashion style. He wears nice shoes. Not to mention, we tried not to gaze eye contact for too long as Dr. Hoverstad is handsome, pretty boy like a Ken Doll. Overall, he is extremely nice, and we did not feel rushed at all. Dr. Hoverstad took the time and explained the extraction procedure, the pros and cons of numbing verses anesthesia. He was patient and answered every questions and concerns I had as a parent. Teeth Extraction: On the day of surgery, we were already comfortable and felt at ease knowing that my daughter would be in good care from the incredible staff. Felicia and Tyler made my daughter very comfortable before going under, and got her a blanket to keep her warm as her body temperature dropped from going under anesthesia. My daughter remembered Dr. Hoverstad had asked her what music she wanted to listen too, she wanted to request KPop (Korean pop music) but before she could answer, she had already went to sleep. The procedure was 45 minutes and Felicia and Tyler thoroughly explained the proper care and changing out the gauze as needed after leaving the office. The extracted teeth was cleaned and placed in a sterile autoclave bag with detailed instructions on easing the pain, and how to clean the extracted sites. Dr. Hoverstad came in post operation and made sure I didn’t leave the office with any doubts and said I could call the office anytime if there was any concerns. The post op surgery went very well and the recovery was fast. Felicia and Tyler both helped us out to the car which I had to park out back. That is a good thing, because that’s protecting my daughter as she was still semi sedated from the nitrous “laughing gas.” Post Op Follow Up: We were back the following week for the post op check up. Most places did not have post op check ups, which I was impressed the how Dr. Hoverstad and the awesome staff had taken the time with each patient to check up on how things were healing from post surgery. Recommendation: I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Eric Hoverstad, DDS at North Hills Implant and Oral Surgery. Thank you to the STAFF: Thank you to the friendly staff: Amber, Felicia, and Tyler for always being so kind and providing exceptional patient care in a relaxed, convenient setting. I wish I could come all the time but we would have no more teeth left to be extracted if we did ^_~

I can't say enough good things about this practice and Dr. Hoverstad! My husband was referred to him with a very tricky bony impacted molar and wisdom tooth removal. Dr. Hoverstad did a very good job explaining how serious the situation was and how important after care was but also with compassion. We both felt he really took the time to answer all our questions and make sure we were comfortable with what needed to be done. We also were able to discuss all the options available and fully understand the risks and benefits of each. He absolutely is an amazing surgeon he was able to complete the entire extraction with no damage to the nerve that ran DIRECTLY through the tooth. The staff at the office is also amazing and compassionate. They were great with scheduling, making sure you understood your insurance coverage and even helping me fill out paperwork that I'm going to submit myself. They helped make sure my husband felt comfortable and that he was in good hands.

When I first learned from my dentist that I was going to have to have all four of my wisdom teeth taken out, I was extremely nervous. I had no idea about how the procedure worked, I had never been under anesthesia, and I had no understanding of the recovery process. When I went to North Hills Implants and Oral Surgery, the staff was patient with me, kind, encouraging, and reassuring. Dr. Hoverstad explained the entire process to me in great detail and made me feel completely at ease. He was empathetic and compassionate. When it came to the day of surgery, my nerves were even more heightened, but again, Dr. Hoverstad made sure that I was informed of every step of the process and reassured me. I never felt like I was in the dark about a single thing. His assistant offered me a warm blanket (such a nice touch!) and asked me if I needed anything else before the surgery. The surgery was smooth and Dr. Hoverstad did exceptional work! In my first week of recovery, Dr. Hoverstad made a point to personally call me multiple times to check in and make sure that I was healing properly. He offered tips and suggestions to help me. He even saw me for an additional check up a few days after the surgery because I had mentioned pain on my right side and he wanted to ensure that nothing was wrong. Overall, I would highly, highly recommend this practice and Dr. Hoverstad! Him and his team made this process as smooth as possible and far exceeded my expectations. I will go to them for any dental needs that may arise in the future.

Gorgeously designed office, incredibly sweet receptionist, and an exceptional doctor! Hands down, the best dental experience of my life. I went to Dr. Hoverstad for a second opinion regarding a dental implant, and I was blown away by how personable he was. No assembly line dental work here! His prices are more affordable than others in the area, he is never rushed in answering questions, and he's completely honest about his work. I was very nervous going in for my surgery, but I had a pain free experience and didn't even need pain medication! Dr. Hoverstad is an expert in his field, and I'd highly recommend him to anyone!

I was rerferred to Dr. Hoverstad for an emergency tooth extraction due to infection. The entire staff was so kind and concerned about my care. The doctor's first priority was to lessen my pain. He explained everything he was doing and encouraged me through the process. His assistant Kasey was so comforting. She held my hand because I was scared and gave me a much needed hug when it was all over. Amber at the front desk made the process of checking in and out as smooth as possible because she knew I was in pain. What a fabulous group of dedicated professionals! Highly recommended!

He even personally called me to check on my sister after the surgery. His staff is also amazing and will help you with anything you need. I HIGHLY recommend this practice for having what other practices fall short on. I will try and find the verbiage to express what a well orchestrated, compassionate, and knowledgeable practice this is. I needed a tooth pulled. I am a white knuckled patient when it comes to dentistry, so needless to say, I was impressed with this practice. From first walking in and meeting Amber who greeted me with a smile and started right away helping get the behind the scenes important information in place. Then Kasey came out to take me back with a calming and compassionate personality to assist Dr. Eric. Dr. Eric was caring and showed empathy for my nervous feelings. Right away he started letting me know what needed to happen and how he was going to take care of me. Felicia took my x-rays with friendly conversation and a bubbly personality. Kasey followed up later that day to see how I was doing. What an EXCELLENT practice that has it all !!!!!

Anxiety for what??? I was referred to see Dr. Hoverstad for extractions of my wisdom teeth. The first initial visit went smooth and amazing. I was in and out within 20-30mins. As my procedure date got closer, the anxiety slowly crept in. I was thinking of the worst possible scenarios. The day of my surgery my anxiety was pretty high but I tried to not let it show. To say the least I was treated with the most ultimate care throughout my whole visit, from the time I got there to the time I left. Dr. Hoverstad made sure to explain everything that was being done and made the process so smooth and super FAST! I highly recommend seeing him for your oral surgery needs and get IV sedation option (you won’t regret it!). I honestly can’t say thank you enough for such amazing care from him and his staff!

North Hills Implant & Oral Surgery is Exceptional! My 10 year old son was referred to Dr. Hoverstad for extractions in preparation for braces. Amber ( with the beautiful red hair) was an excellent first point of contact on his referral. In his consultation Dr. Hoverstad and staff, from beginning to end explained to my son the process of his extractions. His surgery was luckily scheduled for the very next day. Which left little time for my son to grow anxiety. I was grateful for the genuine care that he received through consult, surgery and post. Thank you for making a usually hard experience easy for my son and I. I definitely recommend North Hills Implant & Oral Surgery!

I LOVE THIS PLACE! The first time I went there for a consultation I was pleasantly surprised. The interior was very nice and every room has a gigantic TV. But my favorite part is the STAFF! They’re so cool! And young! The first person I met was Ashley and she was super chill and cool and talked to me about extracting my teeth. Dr. Eric Hoverstad (literally the best surgeon ever) came in and elaborated on where and why I need my teeth extracted. Day of the extraction, I was really scared and nervous. Dr. Eric Hoverstad was very nice and gentle and walked me through everything and made sure I was comfortable. The two other staff, Felicia and Tyler were amazing! Felicia is so bubbly and happy and made me feel happy and Tyler was so chill and made sure I was comfortable and got me a blanket. They’re my best friends. My experience there was beyond my expectations, they do an amazing job at what they do and bring joy into it. They are so genuine and humble and even asked for a follow check up; which most surgeons don’t do. I would recommend 100/10 to anyone who wants to get oral surgery. Just got my four wisdom teeth out last week, it was great experience. I always heard from my friend about how painful after the surgery, actually in my case, it does not hurt at all, Just a little sourness from my bottom teeth. Dr. Hoverstad is really great and helpful, and all the staffs are really friendly and sweet. Reasonable price. I would recommend this place!

Amazing staff all the way around!!!! They make the whole experience great!! The front desk staff are amazing!!! They really know how you feel and try their best to make your experience the best it can be. Back office staff are amazing also!! They made me feel so comfortable!!!
