In middle school, I was told that it wasn't necessary for me to get braces because my top teeth were perfect and the only issue was a small gap on the bottom that you couldn't see when I smiled or talked. Then, in freshman year of high school, they decided to give me braces for "8-12 months max." I am furious with this place because, not only have I had my braces on for OVER 24 MONTHS, but I am nowhere near getting them off and I am one of the very few high school seniors who STILL has braces. Do not listen to them. It is MUCH better to have braces younger and for a longer amount of time WHEN EVERYONE ELSE HAS THEM TOO. However, now my self esteem is extremely low and everyone thinks that I am still a freshman. Also, this year, I transferred to a private boarding school that only gets one Friday off per month, and this place is so crowded that my appointments are almost 6 months apart now! Guess I'm going to college with them :(((((

My children LOVE Dr. Savage. He is always so considerate and understanding if they have any fears. He takes his time talking with me and my husband about our children's dental health. I would highly recommend this practice.

We love Laxer Long & Savage. We were referred here by our dentist in Cary when we relocated back in 2010. We have been more than happy with the practice. Dr. Savage is a wonderful dentist. The kids always enjoy seeing him, and he always puts them at ease. Highly recommend them.

Wish I could give a 0 star rating, it would be more accurate. Please do yourself a favor and DO NOT go here. My daughter has been in braces for 4 years because of this practice. During her treatment, she developed more problems than what we came in to fix. This practice is too big for them to spend the time needed to truly address their patients. We’ve switched orthodontists and now she will finally be out of braces in a few months - (after successfully addressing all the issues created by Dr. Long). It’s been a burden having to be in braces this long only to ultimately have to go elsewhere and pay all over again, but we know she would still be in braces and stuck dealing with their unprofessional rude staff and an inept orthodontist. Save yourself the time and money and find another practice!!!

Dr. Laxer and Dr. Long are so caring towards their patients. I cannot thank them enough for the care and attention they have given to my daughter to help her with a dental issue. Dr. Long went above and beyond to care for her dental needs and truly listened to her concerns.

The entire staff is amazing and every visit has been a great experience. My son's crown popped off on Saturday night and the on call dentist called me back within 5 minutes and met us on Sunday afternoon to pop it back on. Their service is outstanding and they go the extra mile to take care of their patients!

So done with this place! So inconvenient they have to many patients that they are scheduling appointments 3 months later. Ridiculous! The hygentists are rude and talk about their own life problems around little children. And don’t even get me started on Sonny Long! We have had braces for 3 years now and has been nothing but rude to my child. Her teeth were looking fine a year ago but nah not good enough for him I GEUSS, now he has created gaps in her teeth and is just putting on three power chains. Apparently he was also rude and disrespectful of her pain tolerance! They also have certain days a year when they are willing to take ur kids braces off- again inconvenient for everyone( this year it’s CMS first day of school). Also had a rude experience with a girl at the front desk who was disrespectful, snapped her fingers and was glaring at me and my daughter the whole time. I highly advise you to leave this practice if you plan on getting ortho treatment! Although, Judy Laxer is fantastic!

I asked for purple bands and the lady gave me pink bands because she's too focused on her conversations with her co-workers than what she's getting paid to do. They don't realize that what they do in there, we have to live with for the next 2 or 3 months.

Katlin was the shining star on this visit to LL&S. Being my first visit to the office I never thought my teeth would shine so bright...they shine so bright...like a diamond...shine bright...like a diamond. Did I mention...shine bright like.......yep...you guessed it.... like A DIAMOND! Thanks LL&S..and Thanks Katlin for changing my opinion about fancy dentist offices.

My experience here could not be better. First, Dr. Long told us that our son was too young for braces and that a better result would happen if we waited a couple of years. We did and then the outcome was perfect. Then, I went as an adult to get braces, and while the environment is designed for younger people, I felt totally at home as they are experts at caring for adults as well. It may look like an assembly line, but no one is ever treated that way. The staff takes time to know and care for each patient as an individual! After 2 years of braces, I find that the results are so great that I won't be needing the veneers that I thought I was going to require! He has expertise in getting good outcomes without excessive destruction of natural teeth. Dr. Long recently also took time to talk to my adult daughter about her serious genetic dental issues. He provided her with a depth of education and guidance about her unique problems --information she had not received anywhere else. Now, she is following his advice and seeing an expert he recommended. We are so very appreciative of Dr. Long and all the staff at Laxar, Long, and Savage. They truly are the best!

Dr. Savage did a great job. He attended to my 6 year old daughter and treated her very well. I don't even think she noticed she was having a cavitiy filled. I would recommend their services.

My family's experiences with this office couldn't be better! We have tried several different dentists in the area for our kids, and after finding Dr. Savage, I can safely say we're home! My middle child especially has had some really bad experiences with previous dentists, but Dr. Savage and the other dentists and staff in this office really listened to us and even fixed some issues messed up by previous dentists! Thanks to the amazing people here, my kids still like going to the dentist, and I can't thank them enough!

Without a doubt the BEST dental practice in Charlotte, and possibly anywhere. From the front desk & dental assistants, right through the Dentists, they are amazing with kids of all ages and have the patience to even deal with us parents (like when your child who previously wouldn't go to the Dentist w/o a fight now leaves you alone in the lobby because "he's got it") ! I would highly recommend their practice, but I'm afraid of them becoming too big & busy since they do such a great job! ;-)

Dr. Savage is a remarkable healthcare provider!! We had to leave a previous dentist, (whom my children loved), because of appointment availability. He is very knowledgeable, kind, friendly, and engaging with the kids. He does his best to make everyone feel comfortable, healthy and happy. I love the new office in Monroe.....it is always peaceful and quiet when we are there and his staff are always patient and kind. My oldest son has a tough time at the dentist, so he is given even more patience. Thank you Dr. Savage!!!!!

Dr. Savage and his team are the best in the area! Dr. Savage truly cares for his patients and loves what he does. The dental assistants and hygienists work great together, are very well trained and excellent with the kids. Dr. Savage will even have a dental assistant hold his iPhone over a patients head so they can watch a movie while getting a cavity filled. I would 100% recommend Dr. Matthew Savage to anyone needing a Pediatric Dentist.
