Found Hickory Dental when we had to return to Hickory area to care for mother in law. The "new patient" experience was amazing 2 years ago and now, as we continue our treatment plans, every cost is explained at each step of the process. We are so thankful we found a place with a compassionate, friendly atmosphere since hubby HATES the dentist office. They treat him with extra special care to ease his fears each time. We LoVe this place!

In the year 2013, I received 4 implants and other extensive dental work from Dr. Spencer. I can now smile and show my teeth and they are great for chewing. Everything has gone very well. I would highly recommend Dr. Spencer for anyone who needs extensive dental work.

This is going to be lengthy, but I think it is important to explain my situation. I had a really hard time finding a dentist for my son, who is autistic. I had taken him to another place twice, but as soon as he would get anxious and yell, they wouldn't do anything, because they didn't want to upset him, so he never got his teeth cleaned. I decided I needed to find another place. He was 18 at the time. After calling 3 other places that had "politely declined " to take him on as a patient, I almost didn't call the last name on my list. I was pretty much fed up and practically in tears, but I decided to just get it over with. I'm so glad I did!! From the moment I called Hickory Dental, they were very friendly and, absolutely, would be happy to take him. He is not aggressive, but does get anxious in new places and will yell or bounce up and down. He is nonverbal. Robin has been wonderful with him from day one. Sometimes, when she would try to do something for the first time, he would grab her hand, like, "What do you think you're going to do with that?" He's a big guy, but mentally, he's like a 4 year old. She took it all in stride. She never flinched, never got impatient, took her time and let him get used to her. At first, we used something to calm his nerves, but I'm happy to say that he just had his 4th appointment and he did it without meds. He is totally comfortable with Robin now and I can't say enough kind things about her. Dr. Nick has been great too, and together, they have made my son feel very comfortable. When you have a child with special needs, it is the best feeling in the world, when you find someone who will take the time, have the patience, to get to know and understand your child. I thank you all at Hickory Dental Care and would highly recommend them to anyone!!!

Dr. Wentworth gave me my smile back! I had old crowns in the front that looked horrible and I had been ashamed to smile for years. In one day, he made the new ones and worked for hours on my mouth and making the new crowns. Dr. Wentworth took his time and was very conscientious to do his VERY BEST! Thank you so much!!!!

DO NOT GO HERE! They just care about your money, They are not in-network with any of the dental insurances. ZERO(0). They say your insurance covers dental cleaning while scheduling an appointment but when you receive the bill, they said to me that they are in-network with 0 dental insurance. It costed me over $200 for dental cleaning from my pocket excluding the amount insurance paid. Worst dental hospital ever visited!

Other dental offices told me 2 root canal and crowns and a fillings, with no other explanation and could not see me for MONTHS. My dental insurance was about to run out, I called Hickory Dental Care and they scheduled a consult AND the procedure (just in case so the appointment wouldn't get gone) within a few days. I opted to have a tooth pulled, a tooth filled and then a crown. They were so helpful, concerned for my well being and very nice. I will never go to another dentist ever again!

Would have given more stars if I could have. I've never been to a dentist that I felt comfortable with. The staff notified Dr. Spencer of my severe anxiety before he done anything. We talked about it and what they could do to help me. I wish I had found Hickory Dental Care 15 years ago! I can't wait to get my smile back!

This was my second time. Both visits went very well. The lady that has cleaned my teeth both times did a very good job. She was concerned if I was comfortable and had any issues while she was cleaning my teeth. Everyone is very pleasant.

It was my first visit to this location. I had an easy time scheduling my appointment, along with reminders leading up to my appointment were helpful. When I walked into the building my first impressions were positive, the waiting room smelled nice and it was clean. The staff were amazing, they welcomed me and made me feel comfortable. I felt they did a great job and appeared to enjoy what they were doing. Dr. Spencer was kind and friendly, he asked me questions and made me feel he cared about the answers I gave him. Overall I am happy I picked this location for my dental needs and look forward to going back for my routine visits.

I could give less than one star, I would Little did I realize upon walking into the empty waiting for Hickory Dental Office, I would be entering HELL! I am writing about the awful experience in hopes of any potential new patient could avoid such inhumane treatment. • No upfront review of costs and plan for procedures. • No communication among the employees or with me. • Office staff usually under staff • No after care instructions. • Costly insurance mistakes • Multiple insurance claims for the same procedure • Expensive
