Well ive been twice so far and the first dentist I seen was great she was so friendly and caring and sweet I think her name is Amerie BUT when I came back for a cleaning I found out that she wasn't their and a male dentist was well besides his rudeness I asked him how long it would take to numb my mouth and he just kept sticking my mouth with the needle and HIT THE NERVE IN MY JAW!!!!! It felt like someone was stabbing my lips and cheak with hot needles! I will NOT BE SEEN BY HIM EVER AGAIN! But I would be more than glad to be seen by Dr.Amerie again!!!!!!!!!!!

Will not go back! First time at this dentist. Spent 2 hours in the chair and had hardly anything done! Got xrays and the dentist spent about 10 mins looking at my teeth. All of which I expected to happen. Then I sat there... the dental assistant and I watched tv... seriously... then after 2 hours the front desk lady came in to go over my insurance and the financial side. Again, I expected this. I have never felt so misinformed about my insurance and what it would cover than what she was telling me. And then she was ushering me out the door after scheduling my next appointment. I was so confused... spent 2 hours having absolutely nothing done! Not even a cleaning (that was to be the next appt). Then when I called my insurance company to understand why I was being told things were not covered and I would have to pay out of pocket I was told by my insurance that I had been told wrong by the front desk lady and that these things were in fact covered! I don't appreciate my time being wasted or being lied to.

I went in this morning for a root canal with MetLife Insurance. I didn't have all the cash that it took to make the process happen. Yesterday the woman said that if I brought my bank card in that she would be willing to help me over a couple of weeks with payments that needed to be made. After I get there and have my x-rays done they informed me that there's nothing they can do without any money. So nevertheless I'll leave there in as much pain as I was when I got there and another scheduled appointment for 6 days away. So my personal opinion is they're only interested in money. If you don't have any money they don't care to see you.

This is a wonderful dentist. The name of the dentist truly describes the atmosphere. Everyone that I came in contact with treated me so nice like an actual human being. I couldn't be happier with my choice to go to Friendly Dental. It had been a while since my last dental visit so I chose them and couldn't have made a better choice. They have great quick, convenient service. My biggest complaint with going to a dentist was the long waits and that wasn't the case here. The staff are all very nice and helpful. WOW that male doctor is really bad. I to experience the same with my kids. Male doctor was yelling at my child and handling my child a little rough. I had to tell him to stop. Kids should not go here to be disciplined. The staff is very ruled. One works was using bad language, one worker singing. Very unprofessional. I have read other reviews and see that many people are complaining about this. I wished I read these reviews before I visited this place. I thought they would be good for my kids because I visited this place for myself and lady doctor did well for me, but I got male doctor with my kids, very bad. I am going to be reporting this business to Bureau of Health Services Regulation

I had the best experience today! Dr. Allen is so kind and through. I was so self conscious about my teeth and I had several cavities on the front of my teeth. I hated my smile and hated taking pictures. I have 3 small children so I rarely am able to make appointments for myself and go out. When I came to see her she made each appointment worth the while. Today, she fixed my front teeth and I can't stop smiling and showing my family. My mom actually thought I had gotten veneers!!! They look totally natural and like they used to before they got bad. She sits with you and explains what all she has planned to do. She answers any and all questions you may have and also talks about prevention. All in all, I will never go to another dentist! And if anyone asks me where should they go to have their teeth fixed! 100% Dr. Allen at Friendly Dental Group in Gastonia. Honestly, the entire staff should be recognized and appreciated. From the moment you enter to the time you leave, you will feel like family!

The first experience here was great. I went back again with my 6 yr old for our regular cleanings. They called to ask if I wanted to come in early and I accepted. I got there and they were jam packed and only one dental hygienist available. They then found a cavity in my and my son's teeth. I am almost 30 and have never had one. The dentist was overwhelmed and not "friendly" at all. I know we all have bad days but, I am not going back.

The worst dentist experience I have ever had, the woman was so organized during my xrays she had my name wrong and her big stomach kept pushing into me. She pushed the mouth piece so hard into my gum it bled and she was so rude kept telling me that I was being difficult omg I was laying there like I was suppose to! Smh, then they tried telling me that it would be 900.00 dollars for my tooth to be fixed when I have insurance! 2 hours wasted of my life with incompetent staff of people. Like all other Friendly Dental offices this one was great. Brand new with TV's in every room, but most importantly the doctor was great and the staff was very Friendly. I have found my Dentist and would recomend them to all my Friends.

My 6 year old son was tortured. My child had to get a tooth removed and was scared. He was crying. The doctor beginning yelling at my son. My son did not go there and I did not pay to have my child discipline. Also 3 nurse was asked to hold my son down and I notice that he had bruises on is wrist. Before this all happened I was in the room with my son and 8 year daughter. My son was crying and the doctor ask me to take my daughter out to the lobby. I had a hard time getting my daughter to stay in the lobby by her self which I shouldn't have. By the time I started walking back to the room I heard the doctor yelling at my son and the nurse holding him. One of the nurses had the doctor blocked. They pulled his tooth then unblocked the door. I was mad. Do not take your kids there. This place is not kid friendly. Come to find out the doctor was yelling at 2 other kids. Male doctor Gastonia location

OK. Well...my mother is a Hygienist so this review may be a little skewed. I came in for a cleaning and I knew that I had a cavity or 2 (my mom is not happy, lol) First off, Dr. Lineberger was great. He did a through exam and identified 6 cavities! He went ahead and filled 4 of them on this appointment. It was totally painless and quick. The only thing I was not happy with was the cleaning. I've always been told that cleanings should only be done by hygienists and I believe it! The Dr. took no more than 5 minutes and that was with being polished. Most other through cleanings take at least 30 minutes. I would be happy to go to this office for other things, but I will not be returning for a cleaning.

These are the most incompetent dentist I have ever dealt with. I have gone to their facility 3 times because of work done on 1 tooth. Each time I've been told I needed an adjustment and my tooth is bruised. That could not be the case cause a bruise doesn't cause this kind of excruciating pain to the point the whole side of my face and head is hurting. I wasn't even in pain before I went to these quacks, now I can't use 1 side of my mouth and I'm in so much pain, I want to pull the tooth out myself.

Today I had an appointment at 9:00am and at 8:50am I was being called back by the dental assistant which was Julie and she was so sweet and when the Dr came into the room she was sweet as well asking about my weekend and how was I doing and when they started the procedure they let me know everything they were doing and I had two teeth in the front filled and they were so gentle and the Dr told me when she was finished they if I had any issues to be sure to call back, and then handed me a mirror to see the finished work, and then the assistant walked me out. Called regarding excruciating tooth pain, They manage to get me not even an hour later!!!!! When I got there they were very helpful and Were very quick to help alleviate my pain and swiftly pulled 3 teeth without an issue. No issues. They helped even more with a Setting up my Medicaid, in which covered the copay as well. Such a friendly staff, who did a great job answering all my questions and concerns. Dr Jennings was extremely knowledgeable, and had respectful bedside manners. I would highly recommend Friendly Dental of Gastonia to anybody who needs a Dentist in the area. They are also wonderful dealing with children.

Staff is friendly and good for most services. However, I will not recommend them for dentures. I wasted several months for them to make molds, remake molds and more on top of that only to end up with ugly teeth that are way too big for my mouth and look like Mr. Ed. I hate the dentures and refuse to wear them!

This office was absolutely a blessing from the three ladys up front. Mrs. Kelly, Miss Elizabeth, and Miss Emerald treated my grandmother with so much care. I have to brag so much on the patience and the amount of time that was spent with my grandmother who is elderly from making sure she had something to eat before she left because her sugar was low to calling a day after to check up on her to make sure everything was still going okay the doctor there was absolutely amazing along with her side staff. I would highly recommend this office to anyone who is looking to be treated like a true family!
