Involved in a medical practice myself, I find this practice unprofessional and without a doubt the poorest example of medical administration I've seen. I booked as a new patient through ZocDoc. My appointment was modified without my knowing and, at my arrival, I was told the dentist I was seeing left for the day. I booked again online and called for confirmation. They confirmed I would be seeing the provider I booked for. At the time of my arrival, they asked me to fill out registration forms (all of which I had done online). They notified me they had none of them, which is very disturbing considering sensitive medical information was shared. When I was brought back, I was introduced to a different provider and was told the person I booked for wasn't in office (again). After a brief cleaning, I was told I'd need to come back for another procedure which would require pre-authorization and would take about 2 weeks. It has been more than one month (last OV on 12/27/2018). I've called the office numerous times. Each time I received a receptionist, I was notified it would be put through. Two weeks ago, I spoke to another receptionist who repeatedly apologized to me and told me no pre-auth was actually put through and that it would be done the following day. I called back the following day and they stated it was put through. I contacted my insurance today and, without surprise, they have not received any submission for pre-auth. I attempted to call the office 3 times today, during normal business hours. No one answered. Avoid this place at all costs. Extremely unprofessional.

I’ve has great experiences here each time. I had some issues with insurance and the office manager made sure they were fixed by the end of my appointment. Everyone is well trained and professional. The doctors are all great and answer any and all questions you may have. Trust me, you won’t be unhappy. This is a good set of professionals!

Beware.... I cried about my experience here.... The receptionist women was are very Rude.. I didnt feel welcomed there at all .. I asked a question n she anwser me with a belittling tone/attitude..n than she turn to another receptionist n started to talk Spanish about me n laughed....then the dentist was ok but didn’t explain no after care as soon as she was finished ran out the office..I didn’t no how long I was going to be numb for or how long supposed to wait to eat ....I felt as if I was not even a person just something to bill.....I would not advice anyone to go there ...I left there feeling humiliated and my spirit broken....

Initially it will seem like you are received decent service until work gets done. I had 3 root canals done of which I did not necessarily need and got an infection in the last one in November of 2018. Then I was sent to 3 different doctors after Dr.Chang completely destroyed the tooth to find out the work she did caused me to not only get an infection in the tooth but it spread to my sinuses as well. I had to get the tooth retreated at my expense of $1,500 elsewhere and then was told I can come back for a new crown which would be complimentary I.e. the acceptance of her messing up. I refuse to go back especially after the endodontist that retreated my tooth completely disagreed and informed me to keep the crown I originally had as it would then compromise the tooth. Please be aware, this is my personally experience and believe everyone should have their own however should proceed with caution!

I recently moved to New York and was looking for a new dentist when I was referred to uptown dental group by a friend who had great things to say about the office and Dr. Beheiry. I was skeptical at first because I have always been afraid of the dentist but I went in for my check up and cleaning. I had a great experience with the staff and Dr. Beheiry. The staff was very friendly and helpful, they got me right in and I did not have to wait at all. Dr. Beheiry was pleasant, he explained everything to me throughly and made the appointment the best dentist visit I have had. I would highly recommend him to anyone who is nervous about going to the dentist.

I thought I had a good experience when I went for a cleaning and a few cavity fillings. The dentist injected me improperly which caused a burning sensation in my face which I have never had before or after. I’ve been to great dentists after and only then did I realize how painful it was. Also, my cavity fillings somehow got my teeth stuck together so flossing is hard! The people who work there are reasonable but not nice in my opinion.

By far the best dentist I have ever had in my entire life. Dr. Beheiry is great at his craft. For those of us who don't like to go to the dentist, Dr. B is the solution. I was recommended by a friend and was truly pleased with my first visit. As others have noted, Dr. B really cares about his patients on personal level. It's very refreshing and comforting to know that your doctor is the best at what he does. He will not only provide you with amazing services but will also take the time to explain everything in great detail. He was more than willing to help when a dear friend of mine had an accident and needed oral care. The next day she was in Dr. Beheiry office and gleaming about how helpful and caring he was during her visit. My point is that he goes out of his way to ensure that he is providing the best services to all of his patients. I highly recommend and suggest that if you're looking for a dentist you go to Dr. B You will be more than pleased with your experience.

This Dentist is not to be trusted. They took $2,450 in cash from me for a service they did not provide. They told me on three occasions that the braces I ordered for my daughter were ready and was in the office. The day I took my daughter into be fitted for the braces the doctor told me they were not ready. Three times they lied with a straight face and took my money. Now they are refusing to refund my money. These people are un-professionals, and are con-artists. Even one star is too much for them, and when health care professionals cannot be trusted their practices should be shut down. I dealt with these people in good faith and they took my money. And the receptionists at the front desk are unprofessional and are horrible people. Do not deal with this dentist you will be disappointed.

Kind + intelligent front desk staff. They know insurance (and lack of) and what to do. There are no surprises or hidden charges. They’re clear and fast and get back to you. The dentists (I’ve seen 2) are skilled & go above and beyond. They neither undertreat nor over treat. The techs are largely young (most dentals techs are young in my experience) and some are learning. Some are pros. I like them. None have been rude or uncaring. I’ve had a few bobble suction tubes, but I’ve also had that happen at some of the swankiest dental offices and oral surgeons in Manhattan. Stumbled on the office by reading reviews when my previous dental office gave me a 6 month wait despite a broken crown. Glad I believed the reviews.

I spent 3 days in hell with a toothache that wouldn't let me sleep/eat, I felt like I was going mad; I visited 3 dental offices and they all told me the same thing that I needed a root canal and send me away because they didn't perform that procedure the same day. I became so desperate that I was willing to just pull my tooth out and end my pain but I came across Uptown Dental which was referred by a family member and it was like God himself was answering my calls, (I called 20 minutes before heading to them and they took me in) long story short from the moment I walked into the office they treated me with such kindness and even offered me a pain relieve medication until they went on to perform the root canal I so desperately needed right then and there. I'm so grateful to the staff and they accept most insurance and cards payments. I would absolutely recommend this dental office to ANYONE without a doubt.

I regretfully had a horrible experience here, the dentist gets a sexy lady to try to seduce you and distract you from your bill. I had insurance and they quoted me 13K to fix my teeth. I went to another dentist in Brooklyn and what i was told to be root canals by Dr Behiry ended up to just be fillings and the total to everything was $1500. If you go here get a second opinion or you will get robbed.

I scheduled an emergency dental appointment for my mother at this office earlier in the week because she was experiencing extreme pain in one of her molars. They were very accommodating and were able to see her the same day that I called. When she visited their office, they took some X-rays and shortly thereafter she was informed that she needed two "emergency" root canals. The dentist was insisting on performing the root canals that same day because the infection was so "severe", however, THANKFULLY, my mom told them she did not have $328 on her for the root canal co-pays and so she scheduled an appointment for later on in the week. An itemized treatment plan worksheet also outlined that in addition to the $328 for the root canals, the post and core for both teeth would be $264. (For reference purposes, my mother's insurance covers 80% of the cost for these procedures). I called the office to learn more about the diagnosis, thinking they probably wouldn't speak to me anyway since my mother had not signed a release but I decided to try my luck. To my surprise, and the first warning sign, they pretty much gave me all the information I needed about her condition. They indicated that the infection was very severe which is why my mother was experiencing such pain, and repeated the amount that she had to bring with her for her appointment when they would do the root canals. When I asked what the co-pays would be for the crowns the assistant was dodging the question (2nd warning sign). She kept saying that because the crowns were not discussed at the first appointment and were not included in the treatment plan, she could not provide a quote. I asked this question several times and found it very suspicious that I was not being provided with an estimate for this additional procedure, since I was pretty sure my mother was going to need crowns after the root canals. Thankfully, I was able to go on my mom's dental insurance website and learned that each crown would be $500. I scheduled an appointment for her the next day with another dentist for a second opinion. This dentist informed us that the reason why she was experiencing such pain is because one of her wisdom teeth was so severely decayed there was a hole in it! It should be noted that this tooth, which needed to be extracted as soon as possible, was not one of the two teeth that the dentist at the Uptown Dental Practice recommended for a root canal. My mother had an extraction performed the next day, and thankfully the pain has subsided. I cannot believe these people recommended two root canals for teeth that weren't even the cause of the pain she was experiencing. Like a previous reviewer recommended, I STRONGLY suggest going for a second opinion if you visit this office.

I attended Uptown Dental about a year and a half ago after jumping from dentist to dentist because I could not find a place that could provide what every patient looks for a friendly staff, bedside manner, and decent wait time. I was lucky enough to find this dental office. I had two huge infections due to root canals and Dr. AhAhmed S. Beheiry explained exactly what needed to be done. Prior to visiting Dr. Beheiry I had a root canal which was infected and a tooth which needed a root canal. Dr. Beheiry explained to me in details and patience what needed to be done and his staff explained what is and not covered by my insurance. Dr. Beheiry performed one root canal which I have NOT have any issues with and the root canal I have done prior he removed the tooth, rather him making me pay out of pocket and redo the old root canal he explained that the tooth was severely infected and if he performed another root canal on it the infection may still come back. I was afraid of getting the tooth removed because of PAST experience. I have never had such a good experience removing a tooth he removed the tooth in a few seconds, clean, smooth, no pain and no swelling I was AMAZED. For as long as I can remember I've never been confident of my smile and was always interested in getting invisalign but did not think I could afford it or if a was candidate. Dr. Beheiry with out any pressure what so ever provided me with information on how it works, how I was most definitely a candidate, the process, the cost and payment plans they have. Dr. Beheiry provided me with HOPE that I can have the smile I have always wished for so I took the chance and started my Invisalign process with him. Any questions I had were answered, his staff always followed up and confirmed future appointments for recurrent trays. After a year later I am now done with my invisalign and I cannot stop smiling . I highly recommend Uptown Dental they have an amazing staff and I specially recommend Dr. Beheiry.

BEWARE!!! This is one of the most horrible clinics ever! I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Nupur Patel for Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at 1:15 pm through Zocdoc app. While I was on my way, someone from the clinic called and said my appointment was at 1 pm because they don’t make an appointment for 1:15 pm. When I told her that I made it through Zocdoc and I have proof, she said that the doctor did not show up that day. Well, then why would you confirm the appointment and wait until last minute to inform me? She said she’d reschedule it with Dr. Patel for Thursday, December 21, 2017 for 1:30 pm. When I showed up at the 240 West 116th Street Dental Clinic, right on time, they told me that Dr. Patel doesn’t work on Thursdays. Well, then why the hell would you make an appointment for Thursday?! They promised to let me see her another time and said an assistant would clean up my teeth today, but made me wait for at least half an hour and still no one saw me. I left completely frustrated without being seen by any one or given any service. Completely unorganized and irresponsible doctor and absolutely horrible clinic! They didn’t even know who made the appointment over the phone! Never ever going back to this doctor or to this clinic again! EDIT: By the way, I never rescheduled any appointment with them or disrespected their time as they claim below, but they rescheduled my appointment with Dr. Patel twice. What a pathetic lie to hide your own flaws and horrible treatment of patients. I had no X-rays with you, I wasn't even seen by anyone from your office. So I have no idea whose x-rays you'd like me to pick-up. Lol. Get your sh*t together and learn to schedule appointments correctly before opening an office. And for God's sake learn how to respect other people's time! I would rather have a homeless man clean my teeth than ever go to your office if I had to choose from the two. Lol.

Not as professional as I would like. I don’t feel like enough attention was given. I kind of was left sitting not knowing it she was done or not. My mouth hurt longer afterwards than usual. I wasn’t satisfied the first visit. So I decided to give it a second try. The second appointment was worst than the first. She was rushing and it hurt bad. She recommended fillings. Not with her. She is too rough and too fast. No thanks. I rather use my insurance for a more cleaner, professional and more experience. I don’t think I will return

Do yourself a favor and don’t come here. While all the doctors/hygienists are very nice and friendly, the actual dental care is sub par at best. The cleanings are rushed and not thorough at all. They don’t even floss your teeth and I came home to find the polish still all over my teeth. My gums are still bleeding 30 mins later. The hygienist was splashing water all over my face/neck. The front desk women are unorganized. Will call and force you to change your appointment because THEY overbooked. Have been put on hold for 30 min just to make an appointment. I’ve had pain in my tooth for 6 months and visited 3 different times and no one can figure out the issue. I gave this place so many chances but it’s just overall a sucky experience and I strongly suggest you look somewhere else.

If only there were negative number ratings. PLEASE, PLEASE stay away from this dental office. The incompetency is off the charts, and while this is frustrating, it's also dangerous. They are doing medical work that could actually cause harm. My husband spent over $4000 on a simple root canal and crown. They took payment before treatment, so you're roped in to continue treatment until it's done. The procedure took over five weeks, with several visits made where "the crown isn't here" - no call to prevent him from coming in and losing a day of work. This happened twice. When the crown finally came in, it didn't fit. The reception staff is completely rude, can't communicate without anger or yelling. This is a sham of an office, employing only the least competent people imaginable. There are roach motels under the seats in the waiting area.

I called about a billing question before I can get my complete thoughts out, I was already being hung up on “well you have a great day” and they just hung up the phone. The cleaning was sub par, I have been to other dental offices for cleaning before so when they was done I was so confused,I was like are you sure we’re done.
