Shaun Massiah ensures that he creates an environment where his clients feel comfortable. His staff are quite friendly and personable. His dental hygienist is quite good at explaining the entire process, and in educating each parent about measures that they can implement to improve the condition of their teeth and gums. I don't normally like going to dentists, but I can honestly say that this dental practice is an exception to that.

I recently visited New York to attend my son's graduation, and on my second evening there my front tooth broke off and fell out! I was mortified to think of spending my week there with no front tooth, meeting my son's friends and mentors.. I was 9 hours from home and my own dentist and needed to find emergency medical care--on a weekend no less. Dr. Messiah came to my rescue. I called and he got back to me immediately, went out of his way to make me feel relaxed, and saw me right away. My tooth was restored and my week in NY went on as planned. Just visited another dentist in manhattan after skipping my dental visits for several years (my last procedure was a "root canal" with dr. massiah) and lo and behold she told me I didn't have a root canal!!..I told her "well I paid for one!" And she sed it looks like I got partial root canal. Needless to say I'm extremely pissed that I let dr. massiah leave me with a stump of a tooth rather than extracting which is what I really wanted AND having me pay for a procedure that was never done/done properly.

As far as I know, very few people enjoy going to the dentist, I am included in this number. But, since my good health depends on it, I am thrilled that I get to go to Dr. Massiah! I've been a patient of his for years and plan to be for years to come. The staff is friendly, professional and extremely warm. It really feels like a family. Now that I don't have any major issues with my teeth (thanks to Dr. Massiah) I generally go just twice a year for a cleaning/check-up. When I do go, I see Soeurette, who is an absolute delight. She's very sweet and has a light touch.

I have been coming here since 2014 and Dr. Massiah along with Soeurette have been nothing but accommodating with my time and schedule (I work in Long Island and its tough with traffic). I consider the whole office my family. They are amazing at what they do and they are genuinely loving. They are very detailed and explain thoroughly every single procedure. I always tell them, they are the only people I stay committed to, (I had braces for 5 years and once I got them off, I didn't want anyone touching my teeth!). The staff is awesome, too. I found Dr. Messiah's practice on google when I was looking for a dentist to bond my two front teeth. I had gotten consultation from 2 other dentists on the upper west side about closing the gap between my two front teeth, and I was very disappointed when I realized they were not listening to me. On the contrary, they were trying to convince me to do more expensive dental work that I needed! Dr. Messiah listened to my concerns and came up with an economical solution that I was comfortable with while keeping in mind what the end goal was. I got my teeth bonded by Dr. Messiah and his team and I could not be any happier! I would recommend him to anyone as he is caring, knowledgeable, and honest. He takes his time to understand the patient's concerns and comes up with a game plan. I will be a lifetime patient.

This dentist was recommended to me from someone I worked with. I have a dentist I love but he's located in a different city so this made sense to find someone locally. I made an appointment over a month ago. I have a really tight schedule and as someone who is very particular about oral health, I said that I needed a cleaning and an exam. I was very specific. Just spoke to the receptionist to reconfirm my appointment for tomorrow and she was told me that this dentist doesn't allow cleaning and exams to take place on the same day. I explained that I absolutely have no room in my calendar for two separate visits. She didn't care. So I canceled and found a different recommendation for a new dentist. What a waste of time. I would not recommend this dentist as it was a terrible experience just trying to get the necessary treatment.
