Former patient. I have very comprehensive dental insurance that covers most types of diagnostic imaging. I was told by 23rd st dental associates that in order to treat me I needed a specific kind of imaging done (one that wasn't covered by my insurance so I would have to pay out of pocket). According to them there was absolutely no way to treat me without doing this. When I said I was going to seek a second opinion the dentist became very rude and pushy to the point that it made me uncomfortable and I left. I have since found a new dentist who was able to address all of my issues with treatments that were covered by my insurance. I would advise anyone considering this dentist to find another option.

23rd St Dental is great! It's near my office, takes most insurance, and the staff and the office are very warm! In & out, but excited to come back. The dental hygienists and dentists are great. The office is on the 12th floor, so there's even a cool view of Flatiron/Chelsea from your chair, or you could peak the TV in each of the rooms. I had a small filling done on the spot since my dentist had a few minutes – painless and simple! Best part is a joining gift – I had a choice between an Oral-B electric toothbrush and a $100 debit gift card.

My cap that covers your root canal ripped off and their "emergency" number is his cell phone which he chooses to answer whenever he feels like it or just hits ignore and it goes straight to NO voicemail. He's put at least two other cap things on my root canal and always said I needed a different one....money, money, money! It's Labor Day weekend and now I'm having to go to the emergency room. Thanks a lot Dr. Gorsica.

I've been to 23rd Street Dental Associates three times in the last few months, and each time has been great. The hygienists are super friendly and Dr. Mitrani has been sweet, transparent, and supportive. Couldn't have asked for a better experience (even whilst getting cavities filled). Been looking for a dentist in NYC for a while now, and SO glad I found this place.

23rd Street Dental sent my account to collections after using the wrong insurance information for a regular checkup. They didn't make a single call or email to inform me there was a problem. Once I was notified (via a credit monitoring app) I called 23rd Street and was able to resolve right away with insurance information they already had on file. I've been going here for the last 5yrs and have found the staff here to be nice; however, this was a negative customer experience that impacted my credit score. Please change your billing practices and call or email your customers before assuming the worst.

I’ve come here 3 times. Now they are my official office. The good news is if you don’t have a good experience with one dentist you can schedule with someone else so that you’re not stuck with the same dentist. I’ve seen 3 dentists and only 1 had bad bedside manner. The other 2 did really good jobs both did my fillings, both were amazing. The dental hygienist did a thorough job focusing on the gums and was able to remove some stains from my teeth during cleaning. Fillings and cleaning done during the same visit. 10/10 skill and service. If you’re a teacher they take UFT.

Great service and a caring and comprehensive dental group. My daughter had a cracked tooth and needed 2 caps and other dental in a new city and new job. Every one is friendly and nice and helpful. It reduced my worry states away! ( it could have been a nightmare to figure out !) I highly recommend this group and all of the wonderful professionals including a caring office team ( especially Nina) and the dental professionals.
