I had an experience very similar to the negative google reviews on here. I told the surgeon I had an infected tooth before surgery & asked if it would be a problem. He said no. I woke up in horrible pain even on all the painkillers the 3rd night post-surgery & called the office. Without asking any questions the receptionist told me I was clenching my jaw. A week later I went to my own dentist & I had a jaw bone infection that required 3 weeks of heavy duty antibiotics to kill. Now I have a wrecked digestive system because of the antibiotics that I am still tending to a month after the surgery. There was nothing good that this office did for me during this entire health disaster. All I got out of interacting with them was that they’re trying to do everything in their power to be not accountable for anything that went wrong. But I’m sure if you’re just getting a standard procedure with nothing out of the ordinary you’ll get 5 star service like 80% of the other people on here. However if something starts to be out of the ordinary post-procedure I highly suggest going to see your own dentist or urgent care ASAP. These folks will just make you feel like you’re overreacting & it’s your own fault.

I don't understand the low reviews, they were all so nice to me. I was in and out in less than 45 minutes. I got 4 wisdom teeth pulled and all they asked me for was one of my insurance cards and my ID.

I was referred to Dr Eric Tuggle to have my two bottom impacted wisdom teeth removed. I did not want to be put under as I can handle it as long as I'm numb. I had already previously been through it while awake to have my top two removed so I knew what to expect and it wasn't bad. Dr Tuggle tried to convince me to be put under but I stood my ground. I didn't want to be. I know its more $$ in his pocket but it wasn't what I wanted for myself and I have a right to choose what I feel is best for me. So he persuaded me to let him prescribe me Valium instead and I agreed and we set a date. He prescribed me 20mg of Valium and I was super nervous to take such a large does given I am a very small person and have never had it before. My friend who is a nurse told me that is a very large dose and he should not have prescribed so much. I guess he was trying to knock me out still. I took one pill at first before my procedure and after a while didn't feel anything so went ahead and took the second one per his recommendation. I didn't know it took a while to kick in. He began the procedure and numbed me up. I've always been really nervous with large needles going in my mouth (like who isn't?) and I was moaning loudly as the pain was intense while he was injecting the local anesthesia. He very unkindly said to me "STOP SCREAMING!!" I wasn't even screaming first of all, and second of all even if I was that is perfectly okay for me to express the level of pain I'm in. I was not impressed by his non professionalism and lack of making me feel comfortable and at ease whatsoever. I also asked him to clean out the periodontal ligament after the teeth were removed and right after he pulled the teeth he stitched me up. I wasn't aware of him doing any cleaning at all. He was in a huge hurry and he was moving as fast as possible to get to his next patient. The one positive thing I will say about him is that he got the teeth out quicker than anyone I've ever been to before. But he lacks professionalism and kindness during his procedures which I am not impressed with. He also didn't clip the stitches down but left them extremely long in my mouth and they are getting stuck between my molars and driving me crazy. He probably forgot to because he was in such a hurry to leave the room. He barely stayed 10 seconds after my teeth were out and I never saw him again. I wasn't sent home with any written post op instructions either which has never happened in my life before after a procedure of any kind. After I got home, the Valium kicked in full force and knocked me out. I slept and slept and then my blood pressure dropped so low I almost had to go to the ER. I couldn't get up without fainting and I couldn't even walk to my own bathroom alone and that lasted all day. Honestly it was a horrible experience and I felt like I was going to die. My mouth is hugely swollen and I'm recovering but honestly I wouldn't recommend him to any one of my friends. I'm only leaving a 2 star review because his staff were courteous and treated me well. I can't complain about them, but he has some things to work on for himself. I don't plan to go back in the future.

Pain after surgery is ALWAYS expected but for being about 24 hrs after the fact I'm feeling well. Have slight blood still but its manageable. I'm SUPER impressed how well everything went

When I went in to Sandia Oral, I fully expected to be told that I was the most likely candidate for Tori surgery. After careful review of my past medical issues, Dr. Tuggle suggested that the surgery would be very painful, and because I have blood clots in my lungs, perhaps there would be a considerable amount of bleeding. He said if the Tori protrudes through the gum, then it should be shaved off. I sincerely appreciate his honesty and integrity!!

I am beyond happy with my entire experience here. Every single person that I've dealt with has been so incredibly kind and helpful. I came as a brand new patient in the midst of a dental emergency and Dr. Tuggle was the first person (I had gone to urgent care and a dentist already) who actually took my pain and my situation seriously. He explained exactly what needed to be done and was very reassuring, but got me set up and ready for surgery very quickly. I can't explain how much I appreciated the urgency and professionalism of everyone. I just went back for a checkup and experienced the exact same polite and caring atmosphere from before. I am so grateful to Dr. Tuggle and Sandia oral surgery.

I went in and had a wisdom tooth pulled. The numbing shots the gave me took a while to kick in good, but the actual process of him taking out the tooth was very quick which was great! The least amount of time I can spend at a dentist the better!

I called in for my wisdom teeth and they forgot to mention I had to have both insurance cards with me so when I showed up they treated me like dirt because of their mistake. When I called back to reschedule they had me marked in their computers as a no show and unreliable patient. For one rescheduling!! If you have the choice, choose another oral surgeon. Dr Tuggle recently pulled many of my teeth. It was the worst experience of my life. After the procedure we had to immediately drive to my dentist. I was bleeding profusely and could not bite down correctly. Dr Tuggle had filed down my bone incorrectly to where my denture did not fit AT ALL. I have SEVERAL bone fragments still trying to work their way out that my dentist said they will have to remove because they are too bad and too deep to remove on my own. Dr Tuggles new file system they use during surgery has now messed things up even worse. I also now have a serious under bite that I have never previously had. They also did not tell me when they were putting me to sleep, instead put me to sleep in the middle of me verbally trying to explain an issue I have always had that they needed to know for during surgery. I tried to explain personal dental issues I have always had and Dr Tuggle refused to listen and insisted I was wrong and aftery surgery there were so many things wrong that could have been prevented if he took a second to listen to what I tried to tell him. Now a month of healing has turned into months that I have yet to see the end of because now an incredible amount of more work has to be done just to correct what Dr Tuggle did. I also learned I was not the first patient this had happened to and my dentist has been so apologetic for something he didn't do. Thankfully I have an amazing dentist who can correct everything in time.

I was told that I had to do all my paperwork through email and online to get a next day appointment. They said as soon as they got my paperwork they would call me I never received a phone call. Then I try to call back today and they won't even answer the phone. They are open according to the recording and according to the google hours. I will be glad when I get my teeth pulled because this place doesn't know much about ethics and customer service that's for sure.

Phenomenal! I have pretty bad dental anxiety. Dr Tuggle was patient, informative, and had enough personality to lighten my nervous mood while remaining professional. His staff is also so wonderful. Front desk is knowledgeable and assistants just couldn’t have done a better job. I did consultation in one day, surgery the next and it was great for me. Today is the day after having 3 wisdoms removed and I am not that swollen and not in much pain. I did have a bad migraine which was honestly the worst part. Never thought I’d have a good experience getting teeth pulled. I very highly recommend this office. -R Ritz

I had 7 teeth surgically extracted in January 2018, all at the same time. I was put under, the procedure went fine and afterwards I had no unusual complications, but after the procedure while I was coming to the staff asked me invasive questions while I was still out of it and accused me of being something very offensive. I remember the female staffer asking me "what's that thing you don't want anyone to know about?". I will never go back unless I am assured that the specific staff I interacted with last time are no longer employed, and that steps have been taken to ensure that kind of unprofessional behavior does not happen again.

Worst place ever! Employee's are rude, loud, and obnoxious. I couldn't even stay for my appointment because I was so disgusted. A new patient was left standing outside because the "children" who work there were to busy gossiping to hear the bell and let her in. This doctor should be embarrassed of the staff he has. HORRIBLE.

This business deserves negative 10 stars & this is why. I went in for 2 molar removals on Friday 5/11/2018 was with the assistant then woke up and was notified the surgery was done never even remember seeing Dr. Tuggle which is a title he does not deserve Dr yeah right! Anyway surgery was done went home and was fine till Monday 5/14/2018 I then started to have issues opening my jaw with increased pain in the jaw & throat area & some bleeding when I had already stopped bleeding. I called his office & was set up with an appointment to see him Thursday 5/17/2018 at which point he told me "nothing is wrong with you, you're not doing what we told you for after care, YOU ARE A BAD PATIENT". At this point knowing something was wrong I made my way to the ER long story short from there I have been hospitalized sense 5/17/2018 was able to get a new dentist & ear & throat doctor to see me was told Dr. Tuggle did not pack my wounds with anything just gave me gauze which gave me an infection which led to strep throat that caused an abscess in my throat/tonsil area that needed to be lanced & drained. I had all of this when I went to see Dr. Tuggle on 5/17/2018 when he told me again "nothing is wrong with you, you're not doing what we told you for after care, YOU ARE A BAD PATIENT". If you value your health do not go see this man!!! A lawsuit on our end will be started once I'm out of the hospital.

My nephew had his wisdom teeth extracted here. Very un impressive. Not even so much as follow up phone call to see how he was doing. When we called to asks about some issues he was having a few days after the extractions, they totally blew us off and said it was unrelated. It was completely related. We were referred to Dr. Tuggle by another office, that's the only reason we went there. The staff member I spoke with when a called about the problems my nephew was having didn't even so much as consult the doctor before blowing us off. I don't recommend anyone go here.
