I can't say enough about Dr McGee, he has been amazing with my Mother. He is gentle, patient and caring! Her jaw get's dislocated quite a bit, he never hesitates to meet her to get it back in place! He has even met her on Christmas morning. He has been the only Dr. that can get her jaw back in place with minimal pain. We've taken her to the ER, and they couldn't do it. He has takes time out of his busy personal schedule to meet with my Mother. He has also surgically extracted the wisdom teeth of my two daughter's, and they recovered quickly with very little pain. We were referred to Rio Grande from our dentist. Very nice office, very nice and helpful staff. Dr. McGee is smart and clearly very good at what he does. When my son had his wisdom teeth out, it was a little more difficult than anticipated; in addition, my son had some difficulties after the surgery with severe nausea. The staff was patient and kind in trying to make him more comfortable and Dr. McGee continued to check on him for the duration of his stay until he was able to go home. Later on that evening, Dr. McGee called to check in on my son and left his personal number so that I could contact him if I needed. This sort of personal service is so hard to find these days and it was important for me to share this. Even if I didn't have a referral to this office, I would ask for one. That's how good the experience was. Thank you Rio Grande and Dr. McGee for taking such good care of my son.

I originally went in with complications after I got my wisdom teeth extracted. I had an infection in my bone that my dentist did not catch at first or thought of it as being a big deal. So a few months later I went to Dr. McGee and he took great care of me and took immediate action to make sure the infection did not spread. He also helped fix my broken bridge by doing a great job by putting in a tooth implant. I have not been happy with my past oral surgeons, but Dr.McGee was amazing. I would recommend him to anyone!

I think Dr. Mcgee and his staff have created the seemingly impossible: Incredibly efficient, practically pain-free, oral surgery combined with that comfort "warm blanket" feeling that has you feeling safe- and like you're more than just a number. Being someone who's had dental trauma, it's incredibly refreshing to meet someone like Dr. McGee. From the first consultation, I felt an immediate sense of trust with him and his staff. They answered all of my questions without rushing, took a genuine interest in knowing just a little bit about me, and helped me weigh the options of removing just two or all four impacted wisdom teeth. I don't think it takes a psychic to know whether or not someone loves their job or work. Personally I can't stand going to a medical practitioner who's just "going through the motions," because they've lost their spark in life (or something). It was very clear in that Dr. McGee has a sense of purpose, meaning, and even joy in his work. To me, those things are incredible important! Whether it's dentist, surgeon, doc- a practitioner's mindset and level of caring is reflected in their work! I appreciate Rio Grande's standard of Excellence; I hope other practices take it as an example!! I may have forgotten the surgery thanks to the anesthesia, but I won't forget the way that everyone handled the process- very grateful! P.S. A caveat on the "pain free" comment in first sentence. This is relative, as everyone I knew told me "OMG, prepare yourself, for LOTS of pain and chipmunk face for WEEKS." This is where like many reviews you've read Dr. McGee is different. YES, there was some pain afterwords, but it was manageable. Took prescription pain killers a few days only, then moved to IBprofin, here and there. Sensitive for a good week, pain on and off, but NO swelling anyone could see. In fact I saw my in-laws 5 days after and they asked, "So when are you getting those wisdom teeth out?" They were SHOCKED to learn I just had them out.

No complications or unwanted effects and my mouth feels soo much better now that my teeth aren’t being pushed by my wisdom teeth. I was referred by my Dentist to Dr. Gregory McGee's practice for tooth extraction, due to some medical complications. I was nervous to the point where I entered the office and was immediately impressed by the professionalism of the staff. After some while still very nervous, I got to meet Dr. McGee for the first time and the reviewers here are absolutely spot on. Dr. McGee is very kind, adroit and puts people at ease when discussing treatment options for oral surgery. After explaining the treatment option I had my oral surgery scheduled. The day of the surgery I was in a bit of a tizzy but Dr. McGee & his assistants put me at ease and even though I was conscious during the surgical procedure, I can hardly remember a thing. The post-op instructions were easy to understand & follow. I got a call in the evening and to my surprise it was Dr. McGee and I can't believe he took the time to call his patient to ask how I was doing. I thanked him for the call, and I asked him if I could see him about a minor issue and he said he could see me the next day i.e. 24 hours after the procedure. So, the next day he took the time from his busy schedule to examine the treated areas and said there was nothing to be alarmed about. Physicians like Dr. McGee who ameliorate medical conditions of patients with kindness, great care and professionalism are few and far between, and I am so glad I got one of the BEST treatment this city had to offer.

I was referred to Dr. McGee due to some issues that could complicate an extraction and implant placement. I went in with a long list of questions which he thoughtfully answered. Dr. McGee and his staff inspired confidence. Although I doubt it's to be expected, I had no pain after either the extraction or the implant placement. This probably depends on the individual circumstances but my implant has gotten a good osseointegration score.

I had a tooth that had abscessed that was part of a 5 piece bridge. My infection started in another state and I hurried home, saw an endo and found I couldn't save it. Around 4:30 PM endodontist contacted Dr Steel and they got me in at 8 am the next morning. I was in so much pain and I was so upset about losing this tooth that I was in tears. Dr Steel was kind and understanding, he was very gentle and took time to make sure I was comfortable during the procedure. That evening he had called me just to check in and see how I was doing! Dr. Steele is an amazing Oral Surgeon. He did what was necessary to get my jaw fixed extremely fast. I scheduled my appointment via their automated system on a Saturday, and was able to get an 8:30am appointment on Monday. He is extremely knowledgeable and experienced in my situation, which he demonstrated when working on me. He had a 'Lets do this' type of attitude, which was what I wanted to hear. I would highly recommend his services. Also, he followed up the evening of the surgery just to make sure I was doing well.
