I am so happy today! My old dentist retired and I had to search for another and I am so glad I chose Dr. Thompson and his staff. They worked out a plan for me to pay over time after insurance which was a big concern. I had 3 new crowns put in today after suffering with broken veneers for months. Went for a filling and was encouraged to have procedure for sensitivity of a tooth and was assured insurance would cover it, and am now struck with a 900.00 bill, insurance didn't cover.........BEWARE!

I absolutely love my dentist, Dr. Thompson, and my hygienist, Carol! I first went to Dr. Thompson because I hadn’t been to the dentist in years and I heard they did sedation dentistry. I had a lot of over due work done. Now I continue the two hour drive every six months because I trust them! I would have work done now without the sedation. They make me feel comfortable and there is no judgment. Well worth the drive!

I have been a patient of Dr. Thompson's for about 2 years. I knew I needed to get to a dentist but I had some really horrible experiences with bad dentistry in the past and was very scared to try another one. I had some issues. I had some pain. I saw a billboard that was nice and friendly and decided to call and talk to someone there to see if they could help me feel out the possibility of a good experience as well as learn what they could do for me. I explained that a very "well known and respected Beverly Hills Dentist to the stars" had wanted $100,000. Just to look at me and I had seen some of his work . Truely amazing. But I could not afford that much. I looked on the internet and saw some very famous people ..BIG STARS...who had at one point possessed incredibly bad teeth and had some serious work done and thought ....wow. Could that be me? Like it or not...we are all judged by our smile. I needed to do something because I was not going to get up every morning and put my teeth in my mouth from a glass. I was headed for that reality. It was inevitable. So I talked to several people at different times from his staff and got some seriously good information about the way Dr. Thompson runs his show.( Make no mistake....this man is the Admiral of the ship!!!!) And had a pretty decent idea what to expect. I looked him up on the internet and found the man who was going to be my next dentist and hopefully the guy who was going to revive my smile. Time to man up. I made an appt. Everything I was told by his staff and that I saw on the internet was true and more. As a dentist ,Dr Thompson has many qualifications, many titles and credits; But his best attribute is compassion. He truely is a miracle worker. We made an agreement....AS LITTLE PAIN AS POSSIBLE. I had to work too. I was very comfortable at every stage. I have had a ton of work done. I have had some major restorations ,crowns and total tooth replacement under sedation. I still can not believe I have had this much work done . It boggles my mind when I think how much work was and is being done and how painless and easy everyone there has made the whole process. It has been a group effort. From dealing with my insurance companies to the compassion the entire staff has shown me. It just could not have been easier. Safer, friendlier. It's like visiting with friends and family. The supportive care is unbelievable. Cleanings are very comfortable. The cost Vs. benefit is a very good bargain. The entire staff is professional and understanding. Carol is the best. Jessica is unbelievable. A total group effort. It has just been a painless joy! Smile in a day was possible. But I knew it would require a lot ...so we did it in medium steps. I am almost finished and looking back it just could not have been easier. The benefits have been worth it many times over. The smile I see in the mirror is almost where I want it to be. STAR QUALITY. If you are looking for "THE GUY" Here he is....Dr. Thompson is the best for anything you need for your teeth.

$7,000 for temporary dentures. WAY overpriced. Some of their staff are comforting, but most of them make you feel like a number. I personally was embarrassed by several members of his staff. I considered going back for follow up appointments, but I now travel to Albuquerque. I'm still treated like a number, but for a fraction of the cost

Sometimes even Dental Hygienists need Dental work. Today I had the pleasure of sitting in the dental chair of a phenomenal dentist. Dr. Peter L. Thompson, is located in Portales, NM. He not only provides the best dental care, he hires talented team members, and ensures all of his patients are comfortable, reassured and treated respectfully. He is an excellent dentist and his skills are unsurpassed! He has the best dental training available in the nation. His motto, "Excellent Smiles, Excellent Dentistry" is a testament to his work! I would be remiss if I didn't mention his Amazing Team! From the minute I walked in the door I was immediately greeted by his Office Manager and receptionists. After being seated, the entire team stopped by to say "hello". They made me feel like a VIP! I highly recommend Dr. Peter L. Thompson, for all of your dental needs!!!

We were told on the phone that our insurance covered 2 cleanings per year and we were good to go, however on the day of the appointment we were informed that their office actually has no contract with our insurance and that we needed to pay $145 up front. We were in communication with their office for 4 weeks prior to the appointment and never once was it mentioned that there was actually no contract with our insurance and that it would be $145 minimum up front. When we had called to make the appointment we were lied to and told they take our insurance when they dont. On top of it all the office personal we met the day of the appointment were rude about the whole situation as if we were the ones who screwed up.
