Wow! I have been going here for about 32 years now, and it just keeps getting better! They now let you pick out comfort items to use during your dentist visit such as heated or cooled eye pillow blindfolds, very comfy pillows for your neck, essential oil-soaked towels, etc. The dental hygienists and dentists are very friendly and caring. We Where referred to Gentle Care dentistry when we moved to las Cruces, and I can honestly say we won’t go anywhere else. The front staff is awesome, patient and super nice. The Hygienists and Assistants are very personable and always remember us. I love those kind of relationships! They Now have a Comfort menu and I feel so special when I get my goodie bag after my appointment. (It’s in a cute silver gift bag) They are pretty punctual, don’t waste time getting us in the chair and I really appreciate the multiple reminders of appts from the automated phone system, staff calls and texts! Highly recommended!

For the past several years, I've been seeing a periodontist. My gums and teeth were so bad there was no point in seeing a dentist. At my last periodontist session, I told my periodontist that I'd decided to go to my Mom's dentist because he was in-network for my insurance and my Mom loved Dr. Milavec. My periodontist said I picked one of the best dentists in town...and Thomas was good too. Yesterday, I saw the Gentle Care Dentistry folks and had my teeth cleaned (and it didn't hurt as compared to what I've gone through in the recent past). Then I saw Dr. Milavec. He evaluated my teeth/gums and we've agreed to pull one more tooth and then make a partial. It's the same plan my periodontist (whom I really like and trust) suggested. So we're scheduled to proceed early next year. The cost will be something I can afford with insurance and I believe it to be reasonable. I'm hoping my partial will fit just as well as my Mom's dentures do. She has had absolutely no issues with hers.

I was scared to find a new dentist in a LC but I finally did...and it was a disaster! A 12k treatment plan...extractions, implants, frenulum snipping, and root canals...oh my! I called Gentle Care soon after and thankfully, I spoke with Erica. If she hadn't been so awesome, I wouldn't have scheduled a second opinion. I saw Dr. Thomas and Penny for a consult; the treatment plan was a total 180! I call Dr. Thomas and Penny "The dream team" because they changed my entire mindset about dentists. I am so appreciative for the extra time they spent with me and how Dr. Thomas was conscious of my budget rather than only caring about the dollar signs in my mouth! The dental services provided by Gentle Care Dentistry surpassed my expectations for both myself and my six year old son. From the moment we were greeted until we payed Gentle Care Dentistry showed exemplar service. My sons fears were squashed and his experience was a good one. He now wants to go to the dentist. I usually do not leave reviews, but the overall experience I had here compelled me to! Usually, going to the dentist is a stressful situation to begin with, but everyone who works here make it their priority to take that stress off of you. They don't make you feel bad about how you've been taking care of your teeth, but instead educate you. Dr.Drew filled a front tooth cavity(big hole in my front teeth, very noticeable. . ). The filling was seamless and everyone I know could not tell which tooth had been fixed! I had a cleaning for my next appointment. Raina the oral hygienist was very knowledgeable and genuine in addressing my questions. The receptionist are amazing, they are very organized and make sure to get you in and out. The online website works really well! I look forward to continuing coming here and getting my teeth back on track!

These guys are awesome. They squeezed me into a next day appointment when my wisdom tooth was giving me trouble (it was cutting into my cheek), and the extraction was quick and easy. The staff is super friendly, and my dentist was very polite. I left with clear instructions on what to expect post-extraction, and when I called in with a question the day after, they were happy to assist. I don't have dental insurance, so cost is an important factor for me - they charged way less than what a couple other offices were quoting me for the same procedure. Thank you for everything! I will definitely be recommending this place to others.

I have been going to Gentle Care Dentistry for almost 8 years - ever since I moved to Las Cruces. They have always done great work and been very kind to me - I am a VERY nervous patient at the dentist, because of all the dental problems I have had. Although my regular dentist is Dr. Thomas, who is fabulous, I have seen all three doctors, due to last-minute emergency appointments - I would recommend every single one of them! The dental assistants are kind, and Penny, who I usually have, always helps to put me at ease. Every single time I have been in pain and had an emergency situation, Gentle Care Dentistry has gotten me in to see a doctor on the day I called! This is such an important factor - knowing that they care about me as a person and will do whatever they can to help me when I need it! I recommend them to everyone I know!

The dental hygienists are great, but the integrity of this office is lacking. Many times, you are NEVER seen by a dentist. I recently switched to another dentist in Las Cruces and was "shocked" to say the least about undetected dental issues. I had internal absorption of a molar that would never have been discovered unless the dental hygienist "prodded" Dr. Anton MIlavec to look further. Unfortunately, it was too late to save the tooth through a root canal (which was an option if discovered earlier) and the tooth was extracted. The neighboring molar has a crack which developed into a full blown infection. My "new dentist" through examination and x-rays said I've been a serious night grinder for several years. Why was this problem not discovered and discussed by Dr. Anton Milavec? Even more upsetting is that I e-mailed Dr. Anton Milavec regarding the above and got NO RESPONSE. I called the office SEVERAL TIMES and was assured the information would be passed on and I would be contacted. Gentle Care Dentistry has a lovely office and dedicated dental hygienists. However, the "standard of care" offered by the dentists is severely lacking.

A friendly warm greeting from the receptionist was my first impression, and then the dental assistant Juanita eased my fears throughout the rest of the visit. Juanita gave me a brief tour of the facility, which helped relax me. Dr. Milavec was just as calming and made sure I didn't feel anything with a deep filling that was necessary. However, they also set a high standard in customer service. They care about making your experience as best as possible from comfort menus and other customizable services to an easy to use Patient Portal. The front desk staff are always patient, friendly and helpful. Janae has been my hygienist for a few years now and I just love her. She is kind, down to earth and makes me feel like I am her only patient. Great hygienists are tough to find; if you’re having trouble please try Gentle Care I know there are several here that will not disappoint. Drew Marketto is my dentist and he will do his best every time. He’s also easy going and funny. No one loves seeing the Dentist but at Gentle Care its like seeing family.

My wife and I have been patients of Gentle Care Dentistry for over 30 years. I travel for work over 245 days a year. I broke a tooth in Denver on a Wednesday nite, called Lisa at the front desk Thursday morning, she was able to schedule me for Tuesday morning. I finished my job on Monday, flew to LC and made my appt @ 8am on Tuesday. Dr Marketto and Diane were able to fabricate and install a permeant crown in less than 2 hours, and I was off to the airport to fly to California for my next job. Dr Marketto was able to mold my new crown to fit my Invisalign retainer perfectly. The entire staff at Gentle Dental go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and happy during your visit.

Passing through on a 2 month Southwest Trip from North Carolina. #3 molar became highly infected. Was able to get a walk in appointment the next day and Dr Thomas and his assistant did a wonderful completely pain free extraction that seems to be healing exactly as hoped for. My family moved to Las Cruces Memorial Day weekend from WI. I checked the internet to find a family dentist that also handled crowns and root canal in addition to the general oral care. I was pleasantly surprised to have a chat window with a person when I clicked on the site. It was great to be able to ask questions and have them immediately answered regarding the dental insurance they accept and the care they provide. I had my first dental appointment at Gentle Care Dentistry on Thursday Sept 5th. The office waiting area and office staff are very welcoming. I had Rosie as a hygienist and Dr Drew as my dentist. Rosie checked my blood pressure, which was high. They were very concerned and had the office clerk contact my dr for an appointment. Rosie continued to clean my teeth. I felt cared for and not just a number walking in the door. I highly recommend this place to everyone.

This review is done on July 4, 2019. Yesterday, I had the pleasant experience of an oral hygienist appointment with Vanessa and a check up from Dr. Drew (Marketto). Kind, efficient, caring, non-judgmental...!!!! I'm a big baby when it comes to dental, it is marked such in my charts and I am handled with care!!! This office is highly recommended by me to anyone reading this! Dr. Marketto repaired/replaced an old crown, with cavity in tooth. Juanita and Dr. Marketto are very respectful of my fear and panic attacks. Both were great. Juanita is so understanding and Dr. Marketto is so very gentle. Great practice! I left an 'emergency' message for Dr. Marketto late in the evening. Before the office even opened, Lisa was phoning me to set an appointment. As always, my care was gentle, efficient, informative, and kind. Each time I've visited, I've waited less than 15 minutes to get to a chair; and then, Dr. Marketto is right into the room. Highly recommend this practice, Dr. Marketto, Juanita, and other staff! I've just come from a filling appointment with Dr. Marketto, assisted by Juanita. In all my years of having dental work, I've never experienced the kindness and caring that I do at GentleCare! It is comforting that a patient is not left alone in the room. Juanita was with me the entire time today! I'm a nervous patient and Dr. Marketto and staff are always conscientious to ensure I'm at ease. Recommend Dr Marketto and staff highly!!! No one in town has matched the care, kindness, and professionalism of Gentle Care. I mean it! We tried a few places around Cruces, and no one else compares. The hygienists are kind, friendly, and gentle (I have sensitive teeth, and they take care to not cause unnecessary pain). The doctors are all knowledgable, friendly, helpful, and ready to answer any questions you might have. And the ladies at the front desk are AMAZING, friendly, and helpful. Service was good, however, I was very upset with the billing. Went in for a cleaning; the front desk made no attempt to verify my insurance coverage, so all services rendered exceeded the allowable coverage limit. After all the add-ons (x-rays, fluoride, etc.), what I expected to be a fully covered dental cleaning, wound up costing me $90.00.

My hygienest Rosie is the best, she is so good and gentle that I fall asleep during my cleanings.....and more recently my deep cleaning. As for the dentists, very caring for my health. I had a ten year old crown that i was never happy with but had settled with it (from a previous dentist) and during one of my check ups he noticed it wasn’t holding up right. I got a new crown through them and the proceedure was painless and the result......1000 times better than my first!
