These "dental practitioners" are just crooks in scrubs. They attempt to sell you all the work you need done and try to strong arm you into scheduling appointments with them. They are extremely vague on what everything costs, and the staff became childish and petulant towards me when I told them that even with insurance I can't afford their "services". And that's only if you can call attempting to rob me blind a service! My wife has had similar issues with them in the past. She had just started her job after being unemployed for 7 months, and had to pay $280 out of pocket for a tooth removal. This was the price they gave her *after* her procedure was already performed, and was absolutely NOT the price they gave her to begin with. They threatened and bullied her for two weeks until she finally relented and coughed up the money, which we desperately could've used for our other bills. To this day, she still has two cavities that she can't do anything about because she doesn't want anything to do with them. They are dirty cockroaches that deserve to be run out of town for their shady business practices! I tried to cancel an appointment they practically forced me into and they told me it was a $25 cancellation fee. They said this was policy, although it was never related to me. NO ONE TOLD ME ABOUT THIS HIDDEN CANCELLATION FEE. If I could barely afford to feed my family BEFORE I lost my job, when I initially scheduled my first check up with them, what do they really expect? The only way I could have waived the $25 fee, apparently, is if I gave them 24 hour notice before hand. Tell me, how are you supposed to give them a 24-hour notice if your appointment is on a Monday? Is it wrong of me to think that good dental care is a right, not a privilege? If I were to chop off one of my hands and offer that as payment instead, do you think they'd take it? DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS! I'd rather let my teeth rot out of my goddamn skull then let these money grubbing scumbags into my mouth EVER again. Their behavior sickens me, and the fact that they now have access to my personal information makes me want to vomit.

As many of us do, I waited way too long to go to the dentist. I was in a lot of pain and scheduled an appointment with a dentist in Clovis. Their earliest opening was 2 weeks out. The following Monday morning I could no longer stand the pain. I decided to stop into Eastern Family Dentistry here in Portales to see if they could get me in sooner. They saw me right then and there!! The staff is amazing. The dental hygienist (Raquel) was so knowledgeable and explained every step of the process, putting me at ease. Dr Standing is so kind and made sure that I was comfortable. The staff created a care plan for the dental procedures that I was need of, and it was surprisingly affordable. I am pleased to say that I have found my new dentist!! Overall, I was very impressed with the kind, caring, helpful staff and highly recommend Eastern Family Dentistry to anyone in need of excellent dental services.

Today was my first visit. I was greeted immediately by the friendly ladies up front. Angie promptly brought me back for my visit. I found it refreshing that she showed me specifically where they were “watching” and why and where I should also keep an eye on. Briefly met the dentist. Luckily didn’t have to get to know him too well yet! Great visit!

Lost my crown and am new to town so I didn't know where to go. This place got me right in and took care of me. In fact, they did a much better job than the original crown. As a bonus all the staff were very kind and answered all my questions.

All of the staff was so kind, and they did everything to make this experience painless and anxiety free. They also provided me with a lot of knowledge and resources on how to care for my wounds, and I’m making a speedy recovery with little to no pain! Best dental office I’ve ever been to and I highly recommend!

I had my teeth cleaned in October 2015, I paid in full. They sent me a bill saying I never paid! It's April 2017. Now I have to go back almost 2 years with my bank statement just to find this transaction. Very inconvenient and frustrating.
