I hadn't been to a dentist in a long time (foolish, I know), but the staff at Dental Care on San Antonio never treated me with anything but care, compassion, and utmost professionalism. They got my teeth back in tip-top condition, and treated me gently and empathetically. Special shout-out to Dr. Varroz, Becca, and Ashton, for their knowledge, skill and excellence. I pay for the dentist with cash so I actually see and feel the costs. I came in with a $60 special then was up sold for another $40 during the treatment. That was ok. Then I was quoted for $7k procedure for non permenant Invisalign. That got me a little annoyed. What killed it for me was coming in a month later with a concern from my last appointment, spending a less than 10 mins with doctor, essentially being told to use a different floss, and then being charged $100. I asked if this was correct and the attendant said yes they confirmed with the doctor. Big mistake on customer retention.

The staff was so friendly and so understanding of my fears. Velsy was so kind and gentle and explained each step to me. I don’t have insurance, but they were great at working with me and explaining different financing options. They also have a fabulous referral program.

I am very satisfied with the care I receive. The only thing that makes me a little uncomfortable is the turnover in dentists. As soon as I get to know one, they're gone. I really like to get to know my health care practitioners. So far, that has not been possible with the dentists at Dental Care on San Antonio. I have, however, had the same dental hygienist (Vesey) and she's wonderful. She's very thorough and always answers all my questions. I hope the current dentist sticks around for a while.

This place just tried to bill me for a procedure done 2.5 years ago. In the time that passed no one bothered to communicate with me about my Insurance company’s alleged failure to cover their portion. I’ve called several times and gotten conflicting information. Their record keeping is shady at best.

I had a great experience, I got X-rays and a cleaning done by the hygienist. I was examined by the hygienist and the Dr. Vasoz as well. They explained what was going on with my teeth and what I needed to get done. That same day, I got other work done I didn’t have to wait for another appointment. Dr Vasoz did an amazing job I have a little bit of soreness and pain that comes with all the work that was done. The receptionist Gracie was very kind and helpful. She explained the billing part very well and clear. I was given options of how to pay my out of pocket bill. All the staff were friendly and welcoming. I would highly recommend this dental office. I will continue with services here and will update later on.

The main dentist lady who does all my dental work, I’ve had a root canal and crown done by her. After having a difficult experience at comfort dental and this place welcomed me and easily helped me get through everything I needed. If I could give more than 5 Stars, I absolutely would. My dental hygienist, Thomas, is extremely knowledgeable on a variety of procedures and does an exemplary job with patients under his care. Dr. Jesse goes above and beyond to build professional and personal relationships with his patients. Also, very knowledgeable and experienced. He takes his time to explain procedures and dental best practices used to achieve patient’s desired results that will ensure optimal dental health. When Dr. Jesse isn’t available, Dr. Angel provides just as great of care. They’re both committed to their patients dental health. Lastly, the admin staff does an amazing job with ensuring you’re completely satisfied and cognizant of prescribed treatments and associated costs. They make it really simple to plan your treatments and payments. Their flexibility has been a lifesaver on more than one occasion. On my first visit to this office I must admit it was one of those days. The office was beautiful which made me feel a bit more peaceful. There happened to be an emergency with another patient which caused my appointment to be a bit late. The staff and hygienist and dentist all showed concern and did what they could to get me to next appointment on time. The next day I went back and was greeted so graciously by the receptionist it made me feel she truly cared. She was in no hurry to just get me out of there. So now I have a dental plan and appointments set up to take care of my teeth. I would rate my experience 11 out of 10.

Good for the basics. A world of upsell. They wanted to sell me on invisaliners even though I had braces. They will tell you your teeth are hitting each other violently. Fillers for deep grooves. That will help with the staining. And cavity reapair. All of these are made up. Like a sleazy car dealership.

Unfortunately the office manager Veronica is not customer friendly at all. I had questions about the bill and why the remaining balance changed. There was other services that were attached to my account without my knowledge. I feel there was a bit of a bait and switch going on here. Also there were notes deleted from my account on the original cost of the procedures. Currently I hope that this can be resolved before legal actions need to take place. Overall be sure to triple check all your documents or there will be some funny business going on at your expense.

From someone who has a fear of the dentist...just have to say I am glad we found this place when we moved here. Ok so this is actually an updated post based on another visit. If I could give them more than 5 stars I would. I had a bit of a dental emergency today and Dr Varos again for me in right away to address my urgent need. When it turned out to be something I needed an oral surgeon for, he jumped on his phone and got me into a surgeon that day for a biopsy. Not many doctors or dentists I have encountered these days care enough to go out of their way to make sure you felt taken care of. They truly care about their patients. We are not just numbers or dollar signs to them. Thanks Dr Varos!
