Cowden Family Dental team is not only very friendly, but they truly understand working individuals and make it a priority to schedule you in very early hours or even later hours if needed. I love how workable they are and I also love all the positive and friendly personalities. Cowden Family Dental strives for the best care possible, and I can't say enough how much I appreciate the time both the dental hygienist Alicia and the dentist spend in explaining everything to you and making you feel as comfortable as possible. On the first visit they X-ray your mouth with NUMEROUS images. They really take excellent care of their patients along with genuine kindness. Recently, my elderly father who does not have dental insurance needed extensive dental work. Knowing it was a very big decision for our family, Dr. Cowden NEVER pressured us to make our decision quickly. Dr. Cowden is THE BEST. I have had a LOT of work done by him. I HATE going to the dentist, and I hate driving in Rio Rancho.. but when my teeth hurt. I drive 35 mins. while passing A LOT of dentists on my way from Lomas and Tramway to Rio Rancho to see Dr. Cowden. Why? Because he isnt eager to just load you up with a bunch of work you really dont need. He takes what you WANT in consideration with what needs to be done. Is always very kind, and has a magic touch with my teeth.. he just pulled my tooth out yesterday. And halfway thru i got freaked out cause it felt weird in my sinuses. And the second i made a noise he immediately stopped and checked on me and answered my dumb question, put me at ease and before i knew it my molar was out. Literally took less then a minute. Oh and when i got home I had a message on my phone from his office making sure i "made it home okay.." and if i needed anything to call. If i could give him 6 stars. I would. Thanks Dr. Cowden.

I had a horrible tooth infection. They got me in right away, the dental assistant throughly checked everything and took a ton of x rays. They gave me antibiotics and I scheduled more appointments. I don’t have insurance but I do have Medicaid and it covers most of the dental just not crowns. But they gave me a 10% discount for the rest of the work!

From the front desk service (the enthusiasm alone will improve your smile) to the assistants (shout out to Celeste) to the man himself, Dr. Cowden, I can honestly say I look forward to returning here. Everyone is so professional, the work is impeccable, and my fillings (I opted to go for four at once), very well done! The bite feels great and I can eat comfortably. I struggle with major anxiety at the dentist from a previous complication and felt more at ease as each minute went by. I did my research before coming here and was a little skeptical about all the positive reviews. Well high five, Dr. Cowden & co. I am a believer. See you in 6 months!

I absolutely love Dr Cowden and his staff! I would visit him when I lived in New Mexico and now that I live in Washington I still travel back to see him. I absolutely hate going to the dentist and get anxiety every time but he and his staff know exactly how to help you out and they don’t take it personally if you just sit there and hum to your music while they clean and do work. As I began searching I came across Cowden Dental. I decided to take a leap of faith and have never been disappointed. From the moment you walk into his office you feel welcome. His office is always clean and inviting with comfortable seating, refreshing water cooler (with large disposable cups), nice reading material, clean kids area, easy listening music and immaculate bathrooms. His staff is always friendly and welcoming. Dr. Cowden himself has a gentle hand and is very knowledgeable. I am so glad I found his office. But do not take my word for it, give them a try. You will not be disappointed!
