I drove two hours to this dentist because I have dental anxiety and they offer nitrious oxide. The front desk staff is wonderful. The hygienist was kind and attentive. The office is very nice. But when Dr. Burros walked in for the consultation she started off by saying, 'Patients with dental anxiety are no fun.' I felt humiliated and I wish I had walked out right then. All through the consultation she was adversarial, rude, and kept shaming me because of the decay I had on my teeth. I finally couldn't stand it anymore and stood up for myself. Instead of apologizing she said she expected her patients to take better care of their teeth. I was trying to take care of my teeth--that's why I was there! I pushed back because I needed to be treated better if I was going to be her patient. She said she wouldn't take me as a patient and left. This is after I'd spent almost $400 to get set up with her. Her assistant made excuses for her after she was gone and wanted to salvage things, but I could not stay there another moment. I am still shaking with tears as I'm writing this. I don't understand all these good reviews. This is the worst experience I've ever had with a dentist in my life. She was cruel to me, and no one deserves to be treated that way. I still don't understand why she acted like this to me when she obviously treats other patients fine. I have dental anxiety--that's why I went to you. If you didn't want me as a patient you should have just said it from the beginning instead of trying to hurt me so badly that I would leave. Your website says: “We understand that for some patients, dental treatments create anxiety. Shots and drills can create apprehension, and we are especially sensitive to these patients' needs.” This is a lie. Don't encourage patients with dental anxiety to go to you when you have such a horrible attitude towards them. This is an honest review. If you lie about what happened in your reply, I will defend myself the same way I did in your office today.

Since I was incompatible with the CPAP machines, the sleep doctor sent me to DR. Burris and Dr. Wallis. Dr. Wallis made me a mouth piece and "Voila!" No more sleep apnea! No more waking up gasping for air! No more claustrophobic nightmares! It was quick. It was easy! It was painless! The CPAP machines were damaging my vocal chords. Thank you so much!! I can sing again! Very professional. Very gentle. Very intelligent. Very caring. I highly recommend their services!

You will notice that from the moment you arrive. Perpetually cheerful Margie will greet you with a smile and get you started on the right foot. I needed a crown so Dawn guided me through the trip. She is highly trained as a Patient Treatment Specialist and is a master at the machines and computers that assist the professionals. Dawn is a GEM both able and supportive. Job well done! Dr. Burris has been my dentist for almost 28 years. When I arrived in Las Cruces 28 years ago my crown broke while eating a piece of candy. I called all over and no one would take me in. When I called Dr. Burris, she took me in immediately. I have been with her ever since. I have never been disappointed with getting an appointment to fit my needs nor getting in ASAP for an emergency. Dr. Burris is not just one of the best in Las Cruces, she "IS" the best. Her staff is exceptional. Friendly, efficient, and very caring. Most people don't look forward to visiting their dentist but I do. Dr. Burris has the newest equipment available and her staff has been schooled on the use of it as well. Every visit is - the best experience. Cleanings are thorough and wonderful. Those emergencies - tho I hate them, are handled so professionally and amazingly quickly. need that crown replaced that was there for 20 years and decided it didn't want to be there any more? They created a new crown in-house and replaced it in an hour without having to send off to a lab and wait days - amazing. This office is so high tech, from using text messages as reminders, to the CAD and CEREC computers, immediate X Ray results, and all of the most current technology available. I have been quite satisfied with the staff; most of my visits have been with Susana, an extremely friendly, courteous and engaging young lady. I also enjoy the fact that the office employs the latest technology with direct digital interface. I changed over from another clinic and decided to visit with Dr Burris. This was my first dentist appointment in awhile. Moving from my home in Southern California a couple years ago, I never established routine care here in Las Cruces. I finally had enough and a little scare to push me to making an appointment. Going in I thought it would be like all my previous visits. Idle chitchat about life and the normal advice about oral hygiene. First off, the front office staff was friendly and open. Margie was very kind, helpful, and patient. Even on checkout with the payment. Couldn't ask for a better service and smile! I was escorted back and met my hygienist, Renee. This is where the care shined! She answered all my questions with great knowledge and directed me towards scientific studies if I wanted to learn more. She presented a calm and expert demeanor, making sure I knew the things I needed to know for the best of my health. Left her care feeling much better! Dr. Burris herself was very honest with me and was genuinely interested in my health. I appreciated the frankness. Sometimes you just need to hear the truth outright! I moved to Las Cruces from the NYC area five years ago. Dental care there was good. Dental care from Dr. Burris is great! Not only does Dr. Burris personally remain on top of issues and practices to provide high level dental care, she invests to keep her staff current as well; professionalism prevails in her office. Dr. Burris also incorporates current dental technology for patient treatment. For example, I have many crowns, and unlike pre-Dr. Burris experiences that required weeks of commitment: preparation, temporary and finally a permanent crowns, then bite adjustments, Dr. Burris has the technology and skill to complete the entire process -- no adjustments needed -- in a single sitting. For this and many other reasons, I most enthusiastically recommend Dr. Burris and her entire office operation for quality dental care.
