Lexi, and Lisa are absolutely wonderful, they will be my go to girls for all the work I need to have done if any other show up I will walk. I only met 1 doctor but from what I understood he will not be working on me so I can't tell you. The doc who helped me was ok but all he did was glue my tooth back in. I'm deathly afraid of the dentist due to a bad experience as a child but so far I'm ok. I'm ready for my ORDEAL , I think. You can have another star when we start the process.

Today was my first visit to Tom's River Family Dental. They called me with a cancellation and moved up my appointment which was at the end of April, so I immediately took the appointment. From when I walked in the door I was greeted with a super friendly and professional front desk staff. Then I had the pleasure of having the BEST dental Hygienist ever. Her name is Michelle. She was so thorough with my exam, from my x-rays to my cleaning. She was amazing and didn't even hurt me! She was so gentle and professional.I was then seen by Dr. Prezoisi. He went over all the issues and problems going on with me. For the first time in my life I am actually excited about going back to the dentist and being able to smile again. FIVE STARS FOR TOM'S RIVER FAMILY DENTAL!!!

The staff gets a 5 stars, they are great. But the doctors on the other hand are not. Went in with a broken tooth, not experiencing any pain. I was told it would need a root canal (okay?) and cap. Waited for insurance to approve the procedure and went back a few weeks later. The doctor changed his mind, while I was there for the root canal. He wants to pull it now because my partial denture will fit better if they pull the tooth. Okay, I trusted their medical advice, big mistake. After the doctor struggled to pull the tooth out because it was held in so firmly, now my partial denture does not fit at all. I am down another tooth and unable to wear my partial because it does not fit and causes pain. I am much worse off after going to this dentist than if I had just left my tooth broken, and they don't seem to care to do anything to help.

Office manager is terrible. Took a year to figure out that the dentist I was seeing was out of network. She told me multiple times she would handle it and fix the problem and never did. Then she went on maternity leave and when she finally came back then blamed me for their screw up. She was rude and completely unprofessional. She also did this all before I was supposed to go in to see the dentist for an infected tooth.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! They perform unnecessary X-Rays and Procedures that you are left paying for. Went in for a routine cleaning and exam on 3 separate occasions - something that should have been 100% covered by my insurance. Each time they performed X-Rays that my insurance deemed unnecessary so I was left paying for - $74, $50, $21. Then in the middle of a Crown, I was told I needed a core build up to continue - did they stop to see if Cigna covered the $340 procedure - did they give me any other options... NO! They know what your insurance will and won't pay for so they perform those procedures so you will be forced to pay for. And if you think you can call the office to discuss your bill... think again. You are told what does the insurance company know what you need and that the Office Manager will call you back...still waiting. DO NOT GO HERE!

This used to be an excellent office but the service and quality of their work has gone downhill over the past 2 years. I can't begin to list the innumerable problems me and my husband have had here, from insurance issues, not receiving return phone calls, shoddy work and the rudeness of the dentists. Dr. Malhorta is the only one there that has shown an ounce of concern and compassion for her patients. If you must go here I would not recommend being treated by anyone else.

Every other time I waited for about 20/30 minutes plus and today I came in 4 minutes late for a root canal to be denied and told that I have to reschedule for being late . The place it’s self is not bad and they get the work done they are just VERY unprofessional and I have to deal because it’s the only near place that takes my insurance

Love that the nice location is closer to home. Staff has always been excellent and still is. I see alot of doctors and I must say TRFD is the best experience of all of them. Very friendly and caring people all. Looking forward to when the remodeling is done. Restroom could use a handicap rail. Great office! I saw Dr Gerardy who was very nice and friendly, cool and down to earth. I also had Michelle the hygienist who did an amazing cleaning!! Super gentle and very thorough. She was very informative as well. Susan was one of the assistants I saw who was very professional and sweet. Overall great experience. Even the girl who took my xrays was amazing! I don’t think anyone can really have a perfect experience going to the dentist but these people did a great job at providing a perfect experience.

This place is the best dental office I have ever been too. 5 stars is not even enough stars to give them .The back office is always kind and loving and courteous. Dr.Mehlman is the man ! The way him and his office manager Dana run that office is top notch. He explained everything to me and then had her come and help me with my finances and got me right the next day to start my procedure. The front desk is laughing and making me comfortable before I go back . It's great to find a office that's not stuck up and miserable. This office really holds family to its name. Love you guys

The office manager Dana helps me with any concerns and works around my schedule to get me in at a time that works for me. Dr. Marc is hands down the best dentist i have had. Always a pleasure with all of the staff, and They always remember my name. I've been there 4 times already and every time I've walked out feeling EXTREMELY grateful I've found Dr. Khani. She's comforting and always chipper... Wait time has always been less than 5 - 10 mins...which is great as I am a wreck when it comes to social interaction. But, the staff is amazing , this place actually sees you as a person and remembers that you're a customer unlike 98% of any medical offices I've been to.. THEY EVEN PLAY PANDORA FOR ME, asking ME what band I want to listen to!!! (and they put up with my punk rock.!!!! >= ) I'd read a bunch of old reviews that described the office totally different and was Hesitant the first time going there, until i met the staff and I found out that they're under New management and doing a hell of a job... = ) -Only place I'll ever go to ever again ....

I liked the dentists & hygienists I saw however the front office staff is extremely rude and I refuse to stay somewhere that allows their employees to treat their patients so rudely. The manager argued with me over my insurance that I've been using for multiple years and she was dead wrong. She handled the whole situation extremely unprofessionally. The last straw was being rescheduled multiple times and then they cancelled then they call & tell my husband after cancelling his appointment too that they don't take our insurance anymore. Switched to another practice where the front desk staff and entire practice is friendly and inviting. Good riddance!

After 8 rounds of intense chemotherapy in 2004, my teeth deteriorated so badly over the years, that it was time to remove what was left of them. The first dentist I visited suggested removing all of them and going with top and bottom dentures - not a bad suggestion, but then I saw Dr. Malhotra at Toms River Family Dental. She suggested removing the top teeth but saving the four bottom molars in order to have something in which to anchor a bottom partial because she said it could be difficult to get used to keeping a bottom plate in for someone who had no experience with dentures. I took her advice. Dr. Hoffer extracted my teeth to prepare for dentures and Dr. Malhotra did all of the molds for my dentures. I am so pleased with the results! Not only was Dr. Malhotra knowledgeable, caring, and patient, but the hygienist who helped me pick my color and size was excellent, as well. The entire staff was wonderful and I highly recommend this facility. Although it was difficult, emotionally, to go almost 3 months without teeth (especially when I work with the public) Dr. Malhotra explained that I would have a better end result if I did so, and I am absolutely thrilled with the end result! My dentures look like real teeth and gums. Also, when I first got them, I felt that the bottom partial slipped off too easily and when I spontaneously stopped by the office to make an appointment to adjust them, Dr. Malhotra took me in and adjusted it on the spot. I know this is a long review but I felt compelled to write it today because I had a fun day and every time I smiled at someone, I felt grateful for the care I received and for the fact that Dr. Malhotra and her colleagues are responsible for the confidence and peace of mind that I have today!

Absolutely love Toms River Family Dental. I've always feared going to the dentist until i met the doctors and staff at Toms River Family Dental. The name suits the place. Everyone is always smiling and very welcoming. My husband and children are patients there as well. I love the fact that any type of treatment i need to have done, "and I've had my share" Toms River Family Dental also has specialists there. Every time i need an appointment or have an emergency the staff is always there to help me. Highly recommend it.

My daughter went alone being 18. They filled her cavities without asking do you prefer silver or white, white costing out of pocket. I called several times told A dentisit owner Jackie will return call, never did. I finally reached her she stated well in front of mouth people could see silver, yea if your under her looking up. She replied not refunded money make daughter come back and change filling. She doesn't have time working 2 jobs and in college, and going through that again. Don't bother getting Invisalign here. My fiance has been dealing with them since early spring. After the office staff confirmed with his insurance company numerous times they covered almost half the cost of Invisalign they still went ahead charged him in full without going through the insurance. Now half a year later his insurance company is still waiting for the staff to call and just tell them his start date. It's about to be a deactivated claim by his insurance provider because the incompetent office staff cannot do their part. And yes every single time he goes in they say they will take care of it yet they don't. The dentist even says he will tell them to do their part and it has been MONTHS!! When he calls the office they never return his call and say the person in charge of billing is unavailable. Literally the only time he can talk to someone is when he goes in for his appointment. Better yet his appointment is never on time!! He's always stuck waiting around. And we are out the full cost of Invisalign due to this office. Do yourselves all a favor and find a different dentist.

Avoid this place like the plague. I had an appointment to have a tooth fix because I was experiencing pain. I made this appointment in late December. My appointment was for January 19th 2018. When I arrived at the office they had me fill out paperwork and then the score to me to the back and began X raying my mouth without even asking me why I was there. After taking several x-rays the lady said my hygenist would be in to start my cleaning. Lost my temper and explained that I wasn't therefore cleaning I was there to have a tooth repaired. They had a dentist take a look at me and after 3 seconds he decided I had to have a root canal done and I need to see a specialist. I've been dealing with the pain in his tooth for over 3 weeks now. Now I have to wait another 5 days before I can have it repaired. And the doctor office doing the root canal said that if they had fixed it when I was first called about the pain, they could probably just replaced the filling and I would not need a root canal. This place SUCKS. BEWARE

Update: Anyone looking for Dr. Khani Nguyen... I found her! She used to work at Toms River Family Dental... she is now at Dr. Gordon and Miller in Freehold! Best dentist I ever had. I'll follow her anywhere. have been going here for years to see Dr. Khani, and have always been blown away with the amount of care she puts into her work. She is highly skilled, and I highly recommend her to everyone I know. My whole family now goes here to see her. I have been to PLENTY of other dentists since I was young, and none of them could even compare. I used to be absolutely terrified of dentists before I started going here, but now, she is literally the only dentist I trust and is the reason I keep going back. I also had the pleasure of meeting Gina today, who asissted, and she also does a wonderful job! Really kind and compassionate. Wonderful job! went there as per insurance requirements.The office called me 3x to find out my birthdate and other info even tho I gave itcorrctly they still hadthewrong info.The employees are not too bright and rude .The dentist kept telling me of "Another Guy"does the root canals.Shady characters and not knowledgable,The office staff are rude B>:*^$%^. They left me in pain for 2 weeks and didnt tell me my insurance denied the claim fora root canal .So insurance sent me to another dentist to have my tooth pulled.Fineby me no more pain

This office is amazing! I have had a dental phobia for years and dreaded going to the dentist. The people here really care about making sure you are comfortable and pain free. Even my root canals were done quickly and painless. They are literally the best. They are slowly helping me regain my smile and my confidence.

I would give 0 stars if I could. Every visit I am left waiting, yesterday I waited 38 minutes for a cleaning, and when I told them I couldn't wait anymore they said we schedule the cleaning appointments for an hour. And I said well I'm not going to be done and I need to leave for another appointment and then I was told that I shouldn't shouldn't schedule my appointment so close together and that a cleaning only takes 20 minutes. So what are they, and airline? They schedule appointment for an hour that only takes 20 minutes so I can wait for 40 minutes? Another time I over paid $400 and it took me three months to get my money back from them. And yet another time I waited for a half an hour in the waiting room at which point I was told the doctor was still on his way to the office. This is every appointment, every single time I visit. When you have a 9 AM appointment and they tell you to come in early, don't bother. They're all in a staff meeting and they walk out at 9 o'clock, and then start to get their stuff together for the day, so even if your appointment is at nine you won't be seated at 9 o'clock.

Toms River Family Dental is a fantastic dental office. My first appointment was in May, the staff has been phenomenal each visit. Today I had my first visit with Dr. Khani. Took my sister there Dr. Garsons was absolutely awesome. Entire staff from reception to assistants very friendly professional. Relaxed atmosphere treated like family highly recommend this place. I wish I could remember everyone's name involved one I do is sue she was sweet, my sister was so apprehensive but they relaxed her talked jokes but mainly answered all questions and addressed any concerns.

Dr giraidy and his assistant Gina were amazing. I was on vacation, on the beach in lavallette when the veneer on my front tooth came off! I found them online and called for an emergency visit! Not only was it 3:00 on Friday, but it was the holiday weekend. They were extremely accommodating and friendly and gave me an immediate appt. when I got there, Gina greeted me and made me feel so welcomed. She tried to alleviate my worries and reassured me they could help. Literally, within 10 min, my veneer was back on. Great experience, wonderful staff!! Highly recommended!!

The whole staff are absolutely AMAZING! I had a lot of dental work done from routine cleaning and root canals to having a bad seizure and knocking out/ breaking a lot of my teeth...I ended up needing all of my teeth extracted and the compassion from the girls there made a horrible experience A LOT easier...the assistant in the room held my hand and tried distracting me down to all the girls checking in on me...the girls there make u feel like family...thank u so much for everything u guys have done and continue to do for me! I can't say enough good things about my experience with Dr. Khani! Today I went for a bonding on my broken front tooth. This was my first experience with any dental work other than basic cleanings and fillings. Dr. Khani is so nice, easy to talk to, and professional. My tooth looks amazing!! So natural looking. It actually looks better than the tooth next to it. I would highly recommend her to everyone for cosmetic dentistry!! There isn't one thing I can think of that she could have done to make my experience better.

I've been going to this office for a few years now but, I've only just started seeing Dr.Khani! She is honestly such a great dentist and person! I came to their office yesterday because I have been having issues with my bridge coming out (basically when it falls out I have no front teeth!) I needed a whole new bridge or this would continue to happen but being 19 I can't afford to quickly pay $1,600 to fix my front teeth. I was in tears because of embarrassment and frustration...This was the 3rd time I've been to a dentist for this issue and other offices have told me "well ur beat! Unless u can pay up!". Dr.khani and her assistant Gina actually took the time to talk to me and understand my problem, I could tell they really cared about me and didn't want me walking around with no teeth again in a few weeks...while they couldn't give me a whole new bridge for free (if they could I think in a heartbeat they would have) they utilized what I had. Which wasn't a lot! and made it a little more permanent to at least last me until I could save up for the work I really needed done. I left the office with my two front teeth intact and a lot more hope for my situation! I honestly can't thank them enough! When I do have enough money saved up for the long term work I need I won't trust anyone else!

i thought i lost my dentist , but they are BACK ! Been coming here since 2010 .Never Never ever do they let me down. Went for my cleaning and as ALWAYS A Pleasant Experience. I Do not believe the negative reviews below about the staff being rude . The assistants are magnificent ! And the front office staff is always a pleasure to be around , As i had numerous quesitons about my insurance and what they didnt know they went to manager and she was On Point . She was the one who made me comfortable about doing my bridge work. Dr. Girardy is Reassuring and compassionate ! Nothing like to a dental office where they make you feel l8ike your part of them .

I had to make an emergency appointment as a new patient a few weeks ago bc of a crack in my tooth that caused me so much pain. Dr.Giraidy was incredibly helpful, caring and actually took out a hand mirror so I can show him the tooth I was talking about just to make sure we both were talking about the same tooth! His assistant Gina also was so compassionate and sweet. I scheduled my root canal and crown for 2 or 3 weeks later. Fast forward to today, I don’t remember the dentist who did the root canal, but he was fast, thourough, and I was so numb I didn’t feel a thing! Dr.Giraidy and Gina did my temporary crown and I’m so happy with my treatment from the actual procedures, down to the patient care i received from the doctors, especially Gina. I go back in a few weeks for my permanent crown and then start tackling the rest of the mess of cavities that need to be filled. Looking forward to future appointments! Thank you both for such wonderful dental experience!!

You couldn't prove all the high reviews by me. So far I have not been favorably impressed, especially as a new patient. I waited 2 hours for an appointment I made weeks in advance. Then they "forgot" to send information to my insurance company to find out if the procedure was covered, which set me back 4 weeks. They are very hard to speak with as they don't return your call in a timely manner, as a matter of fact, they've never returned any of my calls, I've had to call them. I'm rethinking the wisdom of going to Toms River Family Dental and am about ready to find someone else to take care of me.

Finally I found a GREAT DENTAL PRACTICE. They do everything in their own office and don't send you elsewhere for things like extractions. My root canals-painless, crown fittings-painless, extractions-painless. In the photo you will see the disaster they had to start with and the results after their efforts. OMG. So much pain. I was referred to them by Ocean health initiatives. One of my teethe #31 to be exact had a cavity that was I guess deeper than they could perform. So TRFD is where I went. I sat for an initial consult and had xrays and dentist assessed all my teeth. Ignored why I was there and submitted recommendations for work on teeth I wasn’t even there for. Never submitted a request for said #31. So he wirks in front tooth and it needed a temp crown till permanent crown. Well that temp crown fell off. So I went back and they put it back in place for me. The following week I get a call from TRFD telling me that #31 was approved. Ok finally why I went to them in the first place. Well I go get #31 worked on and dr numbs me up for #31 and front teeth AGAIN. starts drilling on front teeth only to realize he is drilling on a temp crown. Basically doing what he did last visit but forgot?? No one wrote it on my chart??? The temp crown for #31 was too high and I had to go in agony over forth of July weekend. Went in asking if this much pain is normal and they tried to remedy it by grinding down the crown. Well guess what fell off last night?? My temp crown on #31. So tomorrow morning I will be banging down their business doors at 9am sharp and insisting they fix this pain!!!! And SAVE my tooth. I think this place is a hack spot. I HAVE NEVER had this much pain ever AFTER the dentist!!! And I have had root canal before!!! Be afraid of this place!!! Go somewhere else!!! OUCH!!!!

I broke my tooth and they were able to schedule an appointment the same day. I had to get a crown and they were able to get me approved to start the process. The dentist and his staff were fun and made me laugh when I didn't have a drill in my mouth.
