If I could give them 6 stars I would... Warm welcome as soon as you walk in , Mary and Lisa at the front desk are always smiling and spreading that positive energy at anytime of the day. Customer satisfaction is their motto !! Almost none or very short wait, in a comfortable room, before seeing a professional staff in an immaculate environment. Gentle and painless treatment, constantly asking how I feel during it. Really professional. I drive over 20miles every time I need to have a cleaning or treatment and it doesn’t bother me at all because, being from Europe and used to free healthcare, I’ve been looking for such quality dental service in Nj , for quite a while . Finally found this gemstone and won’t switch to anywhere else... Keep up the good work !!! A grateful and loyal customer

The place is definitely NOT CLEAN, as you're waiting inside just take a look around at the fan or OUT-DATED EQUIPMENT and you will see the dirt building up. There's two front desk girls that aren't really professional enough, just aren't inviting or don't make you feel welcomed and as if they're doing you the favor. You may also have to wait a couple months just for a simple cleaning, unless they finally have a hygienist on staff.

I am currently studying abroad and just came back home for the holidays. Swamped with exams, I did not have the chance to make an appointment ahead of time. However, the staff at Garden State Dental was very helpful and understanding about the situation and did their best to squeeze me into the already packed schedule. They reached out to me the next day about a last minute opening and I was able to get everything I needed done before heading back to school. They were very friendly in working with me and my schedule and I appreciate it. THANK YOU!

I'm sure I don't speak for myself when I say going to the dentist can be frightening and looking for a good one can be pretty stressful. I must say I'm very pleased to have found this office. The staff are very welcoming and friendly from receptionist to surgeon. I was a little nervous to have work done there not knowing what to expect but after visiting for a few weeks I'm so glad I found a good dentist I can call home. I highly recommend garden state dental of ferry street. Dr. Bedoya does a great job with fillings and his technique with the needle is flawless so much so tht I was surprised when he was done because I didn't feel anything but a little pressure. It's a shame I can't remember the name of the dentist tht cleaned my teeth but she does an amazing job. You can tell she does not go to work just to collect a check. She doesn't rush through the cleaning , she is honest , She is knowledgeable, She is genuinely caring, She is an expert and it shows in her work. I now look forward to going to the dentist all cause of the great experience I had here

The bedside manner is extraordinary; the doctors and dental technicians are so personable and really take time to get to know you on a personal basis. I went to this dentist because their website said they had a office in my town. When I went for my appointment the office was closed, so I called and was told they moved to Newark and told that if I was more then 10 minutes late my appointment would be cancelled.That office was closed for over a year. On my third appointment they called me about a week prior and said they needed to move my appointment three months ahead, that was the best they could do, because of this I changed my dentist, when I needed my dental chart they charged me $26 for three printed pages, no explanation why it cost this much thats what we charge she said. They have no Saturday hours at all, no parking, this is on Ferry street, you will have a long walk if you can find a spot. NOT RECOMMENDED!

First time "patient". Waited almost an hour to get a cleaning. After FINALLY bringing me into an exam room 45 minutes after my allotted appointment time, a very brash x ray tech just told me to follow her for xrays. No one ever explained the process and after waiting almost an hour, she told me with a smirk on her face that I would not be getting a cleaning done today. After explaining to her you can't just take xrays of someone without explaining it to them, she stated that it's no big deal even if you are pregnant... as a registered nurse I am appalled. No one ever apologized for the wait or even updated me on when I'd be taken to an exam room. They even took someone who arrived after me and I was on time for my appointment. As a healthcare provider, I understand how hard it is to stay on time with appointments. I understand longer wait times and even that the customer service expectations can be gruesome on providers. But this x ray tech was truly unprofessional and you could tell she had a chip on her shoulder. After being treated that way, I'm not going to allow these people to treat me. I would never treat my patients this way I walked down the street and gave my insurance info to another dental office. Within 10 minutes the woman took my info and explained to me the entire process of getting started wirh their services, including payment plans. Don't waste your time at garden state dental.

When I was looking for a dentist in my area to clean my teeth, I relied on making my choice according to the people's ratings, and I'm so glad that I did! Garden State dental fulfilled my expectations in a dentist. The facility is clean, the hygienist is very smart and thorough. She's experienced and it shows in her work. I was pleasantly pleased. Also, Dr. Gary is a cool cat. He went over my x-rays very thoroughly and simplistically.

5-star experience with most of the staff and Dr. Maldenando here. Frankie, who took my x-rays, was very courteous and considerate which made it such a pleasant interaction. Dr. Maldenando was simply great with taking my questions unhurriedly and walking me through my x-rays. It was absolutely reassuring to have the doc give his whole attention without rushing me out of the place, going into as much detail as I wanted. The only fly in the ointment (if worth a mention) was the lady at the front desk that sent one or two patients who arrived later before me, with the excuse that I was assigned to a different doctor, when questioned about it. Nevertheless, I had a 5-star visit to this place.

i walk in told these people i have a problem with my wisdom tooth and im in a lot of pain and i need it removed.. so this is what they do they book me in for an appt take xrays and then tell me there surgeon wont be in for almost two months!! who does that?? i guess people that just wanna take your money so if your paying cash stay away from this place because it looks like a local ferry st business that just trys to rob people for their money.

Overall great experience. I went in petrified and in agonizing pain. The receptionists at the front desk, the tech doing the X-ray, the assistant and Dr. Freeman are amazing. They made a treatment plan and walked me through everything assuring me everything would be fine. I got a root canal and going back in a week for a follow up and more work in the future. Amazing practice and Dr. Thank you for patching me up and making me not fear the dentist. *********Edit********** The second visit I was hit with $600 in charges... maybe that’s my anxiety with dental work. Really bad communication at the front desk. I did not get a treatment report nor did they explain they would be charging 2100 per tooth to the insurance company. They did not break down that a root canal with insurance would cost $1000 out of pocket. When I told her I asked in advance if my follow up visit I would have to pay anything she said no I never asked that she then said my partner and I were lying... I was shocked that instead of smiling and trying to fix the problem she said it was my fault and tried making every excuse instead of saying I’m sorry you are right... very combative when you point this out. It’s funny how they expect you to pay and fight with you and call you a liar... I did talk to the manager who was much more professional and apologized for her behavior and set up a payment plan.
