This is the worst service that I have ever encountered. Had a appointment for 11:00 I arrived very early 9:00 am to be exact.... I did not expect to be seen at that time but I at least expected to be seen at my appointment time or at least 15 mins prior. I explained to management my problem and he explained to me that the dentist was behind schedule and finally at 1:00 they put me in the room to just leave me in there for another 20 mins.... this is unexplainable.... I’ve been hear way to long....

I can't say enough good things about the staff and Dr's at Dental Health Associates! Due to limited options with the insurance for my children I chose this place about 6 years ago as it was the closest option from my home. I am so happy I did! My kids both started out with the pediatric dentist and she was amazing, I went from holding down a screaming 3 year old child to my now 10 year old daughter walking in practically herself not even wanting me to come in the back with her. Even more then the dental services they offer, the orthodontist services have far exceeded my expectations! The entire process for my sons braces was hassle free and I couldn't be happier with his results! He is getting his braces off tomorrow and I can't wait to see the final results...I have to mention specifically both Naty and Daisy in the front desk staff, they have been there for as long as I have been going there and so many times they have helped me and have gone above and beyond in so many ways as far as scheduling and answering all my questions...As a busy working mom being able to get two kids scheduled for appointments at the same is hard enough, but when things come up with activities, sports, school events and I need to change an appointment they have always come thru for me! I can't say enough good things about them and the entire staff and experience we have had at Dental Health Associates and I plan on my children being a patients there for a long time!

Their staff was not friendly at all, I didn't feel welcomed there. My 4 year old son was extremely fearful with getting x-rays and he kept crying, the tech treated him so mean. She kept telling me "this has never happened with a child". . . insinuating that something was wrong with my baby. Yeah right!! . . .So, unable to take the x-rays, she handed my son off to another male tech, and he was a little better, but my son's gag reflex kept him gagging with the x-rays. They were so impatient and gave up but the doctor still had to perform work and ended up using the dental papoose as standard procedure and it worked. I was later advised to never let a doctor papoose your child. It's not a good practice and creates unnecessary anxiety and stress. He was very good and patient but there are easier way to take full x-rays and performing procedures without papoosing a child. FYI - beware . . . two children also died while under local anesthesia by Dr. Patrick Bamgboye. (google it) Dr. Lisman is rarely there to oversee his offices. I wasn't happy. BUT!!!!!! They're billing is on point. They itemize and break down everything. Afterall, it is a business . . . but I was impressed with their billing and breakdown letting me know beforehand what the insurances would pay and what I had to pay.

My children and I have been going to the 2 washington street in Irvington office Forever and I've been dealing with this unprofessional place by far too long. I tryed to make a emergency appt for my 3yr old complaining of a toothache but they had no sympathy for my child all they could to all me was to take her to a emergency hospital because they were full. I'm pulling all My children files as well as mine it's time for something BETTER!

Made an appointment for my son. Get to the office for them to tell me he had no appointment for that day! Why would I pull my son out of school early for nothing?! Then the receptionist says she will ask the doctor if she will still see my son. Ok. 45mins later she tells me she left the office and won’t be back for an hour. Forget it! Never coming back to this disgrace of an office ever again!! Take your children elsewhere!!!

Nice front desk but horrible orthodontist doctor (Dr. Seiger) on initial visit. He thinks he is a VIP where he herds the new customers on one consultation schedule in one room about 4 chairs. And takes you out for one error in your application and have you go out of room to correct that one item (on male and female). Am glad to see the real character of this doctor talking down to his staff when he pointed the error. Very impersonal approach of this doctor, horrible professionalism and character. No way I want someone like that to take care of my child’s teeth. Disappointing first impression overall of this doctor’s character. This place also has no parking for this very busy neighborhood.

Best Dentist Office In New Jersey by far! My son is 8 years old and had to have a lot of work done. His dentist is Dr. Franklin, she is very patient, understanding and very cultivated!! I am so pleased with her. She talks to him through out the visit , keeping him calm and assuring him that everything is going well. Also the front desk ladies are always nice and accommodating. The dental assistant that always assist us is Tosha B., I absolutely adore her and so does my son. She makes us feel like family . I reccommend this place 100%.

Prior to today 05/30/17, I was tolerant of the service because the office was in walking distance of my home and Dr. Johnson was pretty nice and was always smiling. After he did a cap for a tooth about a year ago, there was a space between the gum and the cap. Food got embedded there and the floss sometimes got stuck there. I told Dr. Johnson at least 3 times that there was a space between the crown and my gum. He tried to convince me that there was no space (I guess because he didn't want to furnish a new crown). Finally, 3 weeks ago, I was flossing and the crown came off. I called Dental Health Associates and asked for an appointment after 3.00 pm or on a Saturday because of my work commitment, but I was told, that particular service had to be done by 2.30 pm on a weekday. I asked the receptionist to ask Dr. Johnson to give me a call (I felt if he knew why I was asking for a later appointment he would try to accommodate me,) however, I never got a call from him. I had no choice and took a day off from work 5/30/17 after I was given a 2.30 pm appointment. I arrived 2.28 pm and after about 15 mins I was called to do a X-Ray. I refused since I had one done in February and didn't see the need for the additional expense. This office is always looking for a way to pad their fees and this was especially so in this case because they had to replace the crown at their cost. I waited for 45 mins without being seen by the dentist. I spoke with the Office Manager who apparently spoke with D. Johnson who said my appointment was at 4.30 pm and I wouldn't be seen until then. I nearly lost it and told her I wasn't an imbecile and that I had been told 2.30 pm. She looked through the notes and verified that I was indeed asked to come in at 2.30 pm. I guess to shut me up avoid a scene, they did a PR move and put me in a room and left me there for another half hour. I got up to walk out and met the Office Manager on my way out who said something to the Assistant. The Assistant said she was just cleaning the chair in another office for me. So, like a fool, I returned to that office, where I waited for another 25 minutes. I was told the dentist was still working on another patient and it would be another 30 mins or so. I left at that time. I spent almost 2 hours at their office without being treated. I believe I was treated with utter disrespect because they had gotten paid already for the crown and their was nothing to be gained from fixing my crown. This is why Dr.Johnson refused to acknowledge that their was a problem when I told him right after he made that crown.

Extremely unprofessional, unsanitary, etc and I do plan to send an email to the 'ADA' about this facility. I tried to make a complaint to Mark Wilkins who stated he was 2nd in command and that he would inform Sonia Rosario (who he claimed is the office manager) and that he'd call me back about my complaint-it's been a month he still hasn't- I've also tried calling him; he never responds. The complaint was about my previous dentist Dr.keran(I don't think I spelled her name right but she's slim, Indian and wears glasses her assistant name is Nicole) they speak rudely about their other patients, don't change their gloves after leaving the dental room and most importantly they performed the wrong procedure on me. After I notified the dentist they stated they don't have to fix their mishap because of the consent form I signed. The dentist also claimed I needed 4 rootcanels and had 6 cavities but thankfully I got a 2nd and 3rd opinion from two other dentist in another facility come to find out I only had 3 cavities and NO rootcanels were needed. PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF DO NOT ATTEND THIS FACILITY IF YOU CARE ABOUT PROFESSIONALISM CLEANLINESS AND MOST IMPORTANTLY NOT HAVING THE WRONG PRCEDURE DONE ON YOU. My tooth is in so much pain DO NOT GO HERE itleast make sure not to see Dr.keran nor her assistant Nicole...Overall just find another dentist

This DENTAL office SUCKS.... my dentist referred my son for lock jaw to this office 1st visit we came office manager made a bad impression w/my husband and didn't want to see my son w/out referral we get my dentist to fax it wasn't good enough because it wasn't visible to them 2nd visit we came to office and it was so busy the wait was out of control we left. Now three months later my son still has the same problem I call for an appointment because its in a convenient area and office manager says you have 2no shows go to a different dentist office because we cant see you here REALLY there are tons of dentist office chose this one because it was the next town over wanted to try something new in a nice building close to home too bad I cant say the same for the Dentist office and its employees. I work in a doctors office were we have peds, med, ob/gyn and dental and never do we turn our no shows away. Your office sucks and I think that it was unprofessional of the so called office manager to tell me to go else were find another place. Honestly its your loss not mine I have insurance your office is GHETTO and so are some of employees....I will never refer anyone to your place of business!

Not a good experience at this dentist ;my daughter had her first visit here and the dentist did absolutely nothing. She looked in her mouth and said no cavities, applied a sealant on her teeth without even brushing them. Visit was about 5 min. And rushed,Very disappointing and will never take her there again.

Every single visit your always waiting at least an hour after your appointment time to be seen. The one time you call to be 15-20 min late the tell you that you have to rescedule. Knowing good and well they wouldnt have called you in by that time anyway. And they claim they spoke with the dentist and its what the dentist said to do.

I went there today for the first time at Irvington location right on Washington Ave . It was a great experience , Laura who did my X-rays made me feel very comfortable, she was awesome and fast . The Dentist Dr. Cochrane did an amazing job as well . She did 5 fillings Only taking less than an hour. She was so kind and took her time answered all my questions and made sure I was comfortable. These ladies did an amazing job. The only down fall was an assistant name Paul he was very nasty and complained that I was in the X-ray chair I felt very uncomfortable the way he behaved and acted was so unprofessional he talked to other employees very rude and nasty in front of me he needs to be written up. Other than that great experience

This is the most professional dentist office I have went too.. The staff is so friendly.. I have always been petrified of going to the dentist, but this office made me feel relax and calm... The doctor Mr Brown is the best!! He has a wonderful personality he makes you laugh and feel comfortable ..he is excellent at his job. His Assistants are very professional and very courteous.. They have so much patience’s with me making me feel calm.. The young lady that handles the billing at the Irvington office is a sweetheart, I had a problem and she handled it right away.. a big thank to Ms Lakish Green for all her help, a very beautiful professional young lady.. I went to a dental visit on 12/17/2012 with my sister and her children it was my first time there the wait was not long and the office appearance was very nice christmas decor and all, but the drama that happened as we were leaving, the Supervisor and one of the Receptionist started having a shouting match right at the Front Desk!! It was so unprofessional, the crazy part was the Supervisor was doing most of the yelling even when the receptionist walked away the supervisor followed her and continued!! As my sister was trying to reschedule another appointment with another receptionist and the receptionist couldnt barely hear her because her co-workers were so loud and to top it off there were children in the waitng room!!! I guess the reason they call it Childrens Dental Health Associates is because that's exactly how some of the thier staff behaves. They all definitely need a class in professionalism.

Please save yourself the headache. DO NOT GO HERE. I came here yesterday for my first visit, and the dentist (Dr. Kong, i believe was his name), did my teeth cleaning and did a HORRIBLE job. I asked for floss afterwards as i could feel food still in my teeth from lunch. I showed it to him and he did not care at all. Did not make this a pleasant experience at all and today my teeth are sensitive to EVERYTHING. The office manager did appear to care about the situation. But, I would find a better dentist office who actually cares about your teeth.

I been to different orthodontist and my insurance would never cover my braces. I never had an ortho coordinator explain , tomy parents the process of the braces. Also how the insurance didn’t cover my braces , my braces got denied 4 times & daisy helped me out with my braces. I got my braces on successfully.

The first day the lady who took my x-ray was rude but as for treatment plan it was followed to a T and my teeth as in good shape so far. I decided to bring my son who is just a baby to have his teeth looked at. I walked in and gently asked for the sign in sheet and one of the ladies at the front desk was so rude directing me there. I think she should quit if she hates her job that bad, no need to be rude to customers. However the dentist was cool and told us how to handle my son's teeth as he advances.

My experience was so amazing ! I had to come in for an emergency procedure and everything from the appointment setting to the actual visit was so smooth. I was so happy to have Dr. Lee, he and his assistant was so friendly I am 28 and I can think of only one other time a dentist appointment didn’t feel like a dentist appointment! He was very informative and very pleasant. He was very gentle and open to answering all questions. His assistant Rosa B was also very friendly and I felt not a thing ! I can tell they love their job and they enjoy helping the patients. I could not wait to write a review I normally I do not do reviews but I had to give a compliment where it is due! Amazing I am blown away by the hospitality I felt even as I was exiting the building the office manager was smiling and it was a great day! I highly recommend this dentist !

This is an excellent practice! I had wonderful service from everyone including my dentist, Dr. Johnson. He really took the time to explain everything to me. Very convenient location, friendly front desk staff, and a gentle high quality cleaning from the dental hygienist. I would highly recommend this practice.

Dr. Brown is my dentist and all my visits with him has been a pleasant experience (considering the circumstances) he has soothing,empathetic and friendly spirit. I've never experienced an Dentist office that gives you access to the head dentist at home for emergencies,i was flabbergasted that he answered and helped.. Great job Dental Health

Their office manager is by far the most unprofessional person there! Some of their front desk staff seems as though they hate their job. They're always sitting at their desks with such mean unwelcoming stares as you enter. No one ever want to assist or simply do their job without moaning in front of the patients. My husband, kid and myself will be retrieving our files from this facility and we're going else where! I don't care if I have to drive an hour to another dental office. We'll prefer that then to deal with such an unprofessional, distasteful, ghetto office manager. This place is a disgrace!

Quote from the X-ray technicians while waiting on a decision from the doctor “You’re holding up the line, we have to fill this seat we have a business to run.” Quote from the doctor, while wondering why the front desk misled me “The front desk doesn’t know anything about clinical work which is why they told you we could do that.” This is an awful establishment with absolutely no accountability. They’re as rude as they were to me to each other. How can you trust someone to work on your teeth when you can’t even trust them to tell you the truth or when they’re shuffling you around after having you wait for 1 hour to even be called in for an x-Ray. The manners of the doctor were even worse. I heard Dr. Martin tell another patient “I’m the doctor right”. Very disrespectful. Doesn’t deserve to treat people if he doesn’t care. I wish I could give zero stars.

I had a very negative experience. Just to mention a few reasons: there is no respect towards patients (from both, clerk staff and dentists) and the place is very dirty. If you have any issues the manager will not take responsability of the situation. If you like to be treated with dignity and your time is valuable choose another place.

I am shockingly appalled at the treatment I've received by Dr. Brown at 2 Washington Avenue in Irvington. I've been going to this location since I was a teenager (approximately 30 years ago) and began bringing my children once I started a family of my own. My dentist WAS Dr. Brown whom was the best dentist ever, hands down, but over time he has changed drastically in mannerism and professionalism. Everytime I get work done I have to come back within days because either the filling fell out, crown came off, or repair has broken. Not only do I have to suffer through the embarrassment of his mistakes (because the problems are very noticeable) but then they recharge my insurance to redo the repairs for the poor work done which is supposed to be under warranty. I am now left with 2 astronomical bills that are not only false because the insurance paid for them already but they have also been submitting my copay fee to my insurance although I've paid my copay before I was ever seen which is fraud. Anyone who knows Dental Health Associates, 2 Washington Avenue in Irvington, know you will not be seen unless your insurance is previously verified and any copayment due is paid before service!.. Especially if you already have a balance due. On September 19th 2017 I had a root canal and crown done on my front tooth but had to come right back 2 times in September, mere days after the work was originally done, 1 time in October 2017, and now on November 7th 2017 because the crown kept coming off initially and eventually broke after eating an egg salad sandwich on plain white bread ( the food can't get any softer than that). When I came in for the emergency appointment the billing manager was at the front desk and stated "Don't tell me it came out again!" I shook my head in dismay and said, "NOI this time it broke." The sad thing about it was she wasn't even surprised because Dr. Brown has been getting so many complaints about his work lately. After she went in the back to inform him that I was here to see him he first agreed to see me but then called her in the back and told her that he will not see me until my total balance is paid off. How dare him! First of all my work is still under warranty. Mind you I just had it done the latter part of September and it is now only the beginning of November, my 4th trip for problems with the same tooth in less than 2 months. Secondly my insurance paid for this job already so what does my entire bill have to do with me having this shoddy work repaired yet again. They supposedly are investigating the charges so why would I pay for charges that are under investigation at this time? Dr. Brown has become rude, unaccomplished, slacking in his workmanship, fraudulent, and unprofessional but this location knows it yet instead of doing the right thing by addressing the issues they protect him, remain quiet and do nothing for us patients regarding matters such as this. After unsuccessfully speaking with the rude office manager, Sonia Rosario, I contacted their corporate office in Phillipsburg, NJ this evening and am awaiting a call back. Please steer clear of this location and Dr. Brown for your sake and/or your child's.

This place is terrible. I don't expect to have a 10am appointment and be sitting for an hour and a half (11:30am). Then telling people to be 15mins early only for them to sit for over an hour. To top it all off they only have 1 pediatric dentist who only do work during weekdays and I pulled my kids out of school just to wait around all day. Sorry but my time is just as valuable as theirs and all they do is waste my time here.

I've been going to this dentist since 2008 & this is the best dental office I've ever been to! Very Kind and Professional staff. Me & my childrens dental work comes out great. I moved out the area and I travel all the way back to Irvington for me & my childrens dental work. I've hadso many horror stories with alot of other dentists. Until we move out of NJ... Dental Health Associates is where we'll be going!

I've been coming here for years and I have never had a bad experience until yesterday due to one of your receptionists being extremely disrespectful. Her name was latisha and she wasn't friendly at all. Instead of saying "how are you" or the usual small talk, she immediately started to reprimand me loudly saying I had an outstanding bill and that I need to learn how to pay on time. I told her that I try my best seeing that I'm in school and paying everything for myself and that everyone's situation is different, but she responded with " well I wouldn't have put myself in that situation in the first place" and started to talk about how she gave her son braces and payed the bills on time as if she was better than me. As soon as I started to speak up for myself she started cutting me off and walked away saying she had to print my receipt just so she didn't have to hear what I had to say. She was unprofessional and rude and I hope something is done about this because she is really giving this corporation a bad name and no patient should ever have to go through what I did.

Don’t go here ! They waisted my time ! I went through the process ! Called to check status ! Just for them to tell me in two seconds that procedures can’t be done within two seconds of receptionist coming back on the phone ! Absolutely crazy they have careless receptionist there thankfully I got out of that situation quick ! Taking my business elsewhere !

We arrive at 11.54 am for a 12.00 PM appointment for my husband And its 1.27 PM and we are still waiting to been seen by a dentist. No one seem to bother to even inform us as to why we have to wait this long. It's so unprofessional. We been coming here for couples years and I don't understand this treatment

I am fasinated by this place because of the fact that they have great service. The staff are excellent and they are very welcoming and perfessional. When i went to get my root canal i felt very comfortable around the staff. Dr. Lee was very helpful towards me because of the fact that i do not like needles. I hope to visit again and thank the staff. I would recommend that my family and friends go to this dentist when needed.

Cuando llame la persona que me asistio con la cita fue muy amable lamentablemente no recuerdo el nombre. Cuando llegue ala cita salude ala chica que estaba en recepcion pero me ignoro o no me escucho por estar ocupada en su celular. Llegaban otros pacientes y ella los miraba y los ignoraba. No me sostube y me levante a preguntarle el nombre y me pregunto para que queria su nombre y solo me decia no no. Otra chica llamada Natisha que por sierto fue muy amable le pregunte el nombre de su compañera y me dijo que se llamaba Jeylin. Jeylin un mensaje para ti no seas aburida, ruda y pon atencion en tu trabajo deja el celular para cuando no tengas clientes frente ati. Natisha tu eres muy amable gracias. El doctor #indu que me atendio fue muy atento y profecional y la enfermera tambien trato de explicarme en español aunque ella casi no habla mucho pero trato y eso fue un gran detalle. Luego llamaron a una jovencita que me traduciera y ella fue muy amable tambien. Para la proxima cita espero que todo salga exelente.

I hate the dentist with a passion a friend recommended this office. I met Dr. Patel who has a really great bed side manner. He explained everything that was wrong and what needed to be done to fix the problems (caused by another dentist) This man was born to be a dentist he puts the needs of his patients first, and does everything to make sure your satisfied.

Terrible experience! I go into this office and have a quick visit with Dr Patel. I am having extreme pain in my molar. The doc writes me a script for an antibiotic. I did not immediately ask for pain meds, as i was trying to tough it out. The next day pain radiating in my tooth, side of my face an in my ear! I called the docs office and they suggest ib800, what a joke! I explained to them i was having "sever" nerve pain and they refused to help me. I called the after hours hotline and they didnt care to even return my call! Anyone that has had tooth pain knows what i was experiencing. Terrible doctor and poor customer service. What are people with "real pain" supposed to do if they cant even count on their doctor to prescribe the correct medicine or call back! I had to take 6 ib200 and 4 Excedrin migraine to get some relief. Insane to have to resort to exceeding medication, which isnt good on my liver, when i could have taken 1 pill to resolve my issue. This isnt about abuse, it's about selecting a doctor and being mistreated. Prior to him i saw 3 other dentist and also mad to trips to RWJ and Muhlenburg which is how i determined the nerve pain. Stay away!!!

Dr Brown is the worst dentist. Whenever I saw him in the past he would just clean my teeth. I have a tooth that never really came through fully and remains in my gums. Never has he tried to remove it. Also due to me brushing my gums too hard they started to recede. He never once said to stop brushing them. It takes years for your gums to recede. Now I have receding gums and he has never said anything about treating it. Save yourself and go to another dentist if you want to keep your teeth well maintained. Would have given zero stars if I could have

Why on earth will you go to a dentist surgery didn’t give u wat to use to reduce d pain after d surgery also mouth wash to prevent germs, only wat they gave out Jst cotton bud to hold d bleeding gum for every 40 mins, after wen my insurance pay part of it and I still take out for my pocket to pay part of d fee , I didn’t do this for free, this so annoying and still hv another appointment wth them nxt week, hv to give them d piss of my mind

Went about 3 years ago and they all seem to have graduated from the same school and couldn't get a job anywhere else. The staff are so unprofessional. I was getting my teeth cleaned and the assistant felt the need to flirt with me as he sat over me while the dentist did her job but she didn't say a word. I was seen and wasn't told I had anything wrong with my teeth. I came back a week later and another dentist came rushing in saying he was told I had periodontal disease and asked if I was brushing everyday... I mean I've never experienced this in my life. I do not reccommend this place AND you wait 3 hours for your appointment so don't bother showing up on time. There aren't even private rooms but little devided spaces. Unbelievable!!! I wonder where the staff graduated from because they greet you as if they are your cousins.

Very disappointed with the appointment. I got the appointment at 2:30pm for my son and when i reached at 2:10pm they say sorry pediatric doctor left at 1:00pm. Nobody bother to call me as they suppose to call specially when there is a kid appointment. it's very difficut when we bring our kid from his school at the afternoon napping time and when we reach overthere and they say "sorry doctor left". Doctor is good but appointment service is pathetic. appointments handle by head office and actual clinic just say we do not know as head office give the appointments. I think they have to improve their appointment service specially for kids. There are communication gap between head office and branch clinic. Today when I reached branch clinic asked me for reefer letter and 2 days before somebody called me from dental office she said ok I do not need to bring it.

I wouldnt recommend this office not even to my enemies. Honestly its such garbage if you dont believe me or the reviews here just walk in and ask a question. The respond you'll get back is so disrespectful and rude! Apart from the rudeness and crazy eye giving they like to steal money. They like to put blame on insurance companies they especially go after spanish people because they cant defend themselves and will pay out of pocket for something supposely the "insurance didnt pay" when really they are charging you for things you DONT have to pay just because they are low on money. My family members all left and went to the somerset dentist which is 100% BETTER. In the other hand for appointments they'll book you down for an appointment 3 months from now. You have a toothache its an emergency? Sorry cant come here we are booked. I'm amazed at how they are still even up for business.

I came to dental health associates due to my mistreatment of dental care from piscataway Family dental. I can honestly say Dr. Dosh was absolutely phenomenal. My teeth were broken and cracked and I just really want to thank Dr dosh. And her assistants for really making my experience here life changing. Teeth are apart of your life and smile and for them To make me feel Great again about my smile, I cannot thank them enough. Ms. Shana and Ms. Ilene, Dr Doshi's assistants were very good to me and treated me with care. Even held my hand andade me laugh during my procedures. I now switched kvetch to Dental Health Associates in North Brunswick and I couldn't be any more happier.

I was pretty frustrated in the beginning but the staff is very nice and made me feel welcomed and taken care of. Volquez even gave me a bag of goodies and made sure I was taken care of right away. She also went above and beyond to educate me about things any other person would not have. Dr. Patel was very nice and honest. He presented a solution to my problem right away. He made sure to take care of me even though he was very busy. Service breaks the scale, truly 5 star and well deserved. Thank you.
