I was a patient here and brought my then 8 year old son. He was laying down, about to begin his procedure and when he saw the needle going into his mouth, he cried. The Dr. put the needle down, didn't say a word and walked right out of the room. NEVER CAME BACK, even though we waited! after, I asked the staff where the Dr. had gone, and they replied, he will not work on your son today. I felt awful and belittled as a paying patient/client. NEVER WENT BACK! not me, not my kid.

The staff members are nice, but beware: they often give you wrong quotes without checking how much money is left on your insurance. Moreover, they don't give you quotes in writing unless you ask them. Now that I had to pay extra $500, I regret not making sure I had an official estimate in writing and double checking after them that I did indeed have enough money on my insurance plan to cover the work.

hygienists are wonderful and well trained. Dentist, however, is very abrupt and not thoughtful. When he finished working on a cavity his comment was , "I need a beer." Deeply concerned about his opinion on a crown, i visited with another staff member and he walk rght by me with no acknowledgement of my existance. Later on had an appointment to fix a very jagged tooth only to have it canceled at the last moment. I am looking elsewhere but will miss the hygienist.

Love them! My husband and I are patients of theirs and he recommended them to me. Everyone I have encountered so far have been so nice! I haven't been to the dentist for a couple years so I needed some fillings as they found 3 cavities. They showed and explained each cavity to me and how it may have happened and what I can do to prevent future problems. They also replaced an old amalgam filling that I was having trouble with and the process was done and over with quickly.

I have neglected my teeth for a few years as my dentist retired and I had alot going on in my life. I broke a tooth over the weekend so had to make an appointmetn somewhere and this is where my husband has been going for years. I was so apprehensive and nervous and embarrassed but it could not have gone better from check in to check out. I found out I need 3 crowns and a few new fillings. Since I had not used my dental insurance all year and had some money left in my flex spending I'm only going to have to spend $170 out of pocket! I was sure it would be in the thousands so I'm super happy I joined this practice!! I highly recommend them! The were even able to fit me in before the end of the month so I can use my 2018 benefits.

Like most people, going to the dentist scared me. I would avoid it for an embarassing 15 years. That is until I needed a root canal done. I picked Caring family out of a long list of dentists in my area and it has been life altering! I still get shocked reactions when people hear how well my root canal went. After that I brought my husband there and we now go to the dentist on a regular basis. We've had fillings, root canals, pulled teeth, cleanings and flouride treatments too. Every time the folks at Caring Family did an outstanding job! They make going to the dentist a dream. The atmosphere is welcoming and friendly. The staff is patient, knowledgeable and efficient. This review is from my husband I would like to share a horrific experience that I had to Endure today at this practice. After making an appointment several days ago and explaining to the front desk person named Suzanne that I had brand new x-rays taken at another dentist office she assured me they would get them emailed. Three days of me trying to confirm with them that they did indeed get the x-rays with no response from them. As expected when I showed up early this morning after texting and calling they did not have the x-rays. When I try to explain to them they had all kinds of excuses. "The other dentist didn't answer their phone" my wife immediately dial the other dentist and sure enough they immediately picked up their phone and emailed over the x-rays. We sat down in the waiting room and then were summoned into a conference room with Suzanne proceeded to tell us that she didn't like the way we spoke to them and that she felt the practice would not benefit from our business. As we sat there shocked and stunned at the disrespect instead of them apologizing to us their aggressive nature the dentist walked in a Dr. Adam Teixeira and my wife immediately asked him is this OK with you? Is this OK that your staff has missed treated my husband and is now telling us to leave because they didn't like us questioning their incompetence? Suzanne looked up to him and said " oh he was very aggressive and raised his voice with us we were very upset" let me assure you I never raised my voice I was simply trying to make my point over their raised defensive voices. At that point the dentist said to us well if my front desk people are upset I guess this won't be a good fit and you should leave. I want to reiterate that this was only because we asked if they did what they were supposed to do and obtain the x-rays. And to the contrary they were aggressive with us they were extremely aggressive! And so we are the lucky ones we took our $20-$30,000 job and left their office before they could be incompetent in the dental work as well as the office work. This is how a 72-year-old veteran is treated at this practice! Discusting!

I have been going to this dentist since I was in elementary school I'm in my 20s now. I have have watched this place go threw a downward spiral. It use to be you saw the same people every time they knew you and your teeth well! Now they are all about the money and trying to get you in an out as quickly as possible. It use to be you only had to wait a few minutes if that in the waiting room now you may want to make it an all day event. They cram you into this tiny waiting room with not enough chairs to wait and there's always at least one person awkwardly standing. Then they rush threw the "cleaning" of your teeth. For mine, every time they would only clean my back teeth? Good luck if you can't make it to the appointment you set 6 months ago they are so over booked they can't get you in for another 6 months. Don't forget to answer their calls and text as well, if you don't they give your appointment to someone else!!

On the 8th a filling broke away from my front tooth. Called the Dentist I had been going to and the closest Appointment I could get was on the 10th and that was just the look & X-ray. I called Caring Family Dentistry on the 9th and was given an appointment for that day and an appointment for the next morning the 10th, to fix not only that tooth but one next to it that had a cavity I did not know about. From the moment I walked into the office on N State Street in Concord I felt comfortable in a warm cheery office. I found all support staff to be very pleasant and helpful. The Technician (Susan) walked me through what would happen. The next day when work was done which took a minimum amount of time. Dr. Todd J Sheffler was very gentle as was his assistant. I have been going here for about 10 years. I have nothing but amazing thing to say about our experiences here. Dr. Sheffler has been helpful, knowledgeable, patient, kind and funny. Dr. Teixiera and Dr. Gittleman have cared for my children and provided great care and concern for their comfort and well being. The staff is so smart and helpful - you always know where you stand with insurance and what to expect during each visit. Either my kids or I have seen most of the hygienists and ALL are wonderful. I feel sincerely cared about. The technology they use is advanced and makes you feel very confident in procedures. Even when we moved away from concord, I still chose go back to be seen there. I scheduled an appointment to meet with Dr. Sheffler about a repair procedure on a tooth that had been badly done by another dentist. The staff was very nice. However, after $370 for x-rays, Dr. Sheffler came in for a total of three minutes (clock on the wall behind him) to tell me I could have wax models done at another visit and how unfortunate the repair looked. I can go back at a starting cost of $510 to get that done and he'll see what he can do. Dr. Sheffler was arrogant, unhelpful, and it seems only by avoiding his clients and overcharging that the practice continues.

I had such an awful experience with my wisdom tooth extraction. I was the "last one before lunch," so they didn't even give me the option of general anesthesia or laughing gas. They didn't numb me up enough with the shots so I was fully aware and in considerable pain for the better part of the procedure. They told me to raise my left hand whenever I felt pain, but they pretty much decided I was a wimp from the beginning and essentially told me to deal with it no matter how hard I tried to tell them I was in pain. They gave me a couple more shots halfway through and that helped some, but I cried/screamed/whimpered through most of it. I was so swelled by the end (I have a really small mouth) I had difficulty breathing and took out the gauze in the car because I felt like I was about to gag. Then my mouth filled with fluid and I had extreme difficulty taking the pain medicine they prescribed when I got home and they were all out to lunch so they wouldn't pick up the phone when I tried to call until an hour later. I wasn't sure if I'd manage to get the painkillers down before the anesthetic wore off. Nightmare scenario. Never, ever going back, and I'm telling everyone I know to avoid this place.

On the 8th a filling broke away from my front tooth. Called the Dentist I had been going to and the closest Appointment I could get was on the 10th and that was just the look & X-ray. I called first thing this morning, and the woman on the phone was so nice for starters, AND they got me in for a visit a few hours later even though I'd never been a patient before. The exam was thorough and my options were explained to me, as well as pricing--and everyone was just friendly. Good chair side manner calmed this dentist phobe right down. Now I"m not so anxious about my upcoming appointments, and I'm relieved to have left with a prescription or an antibiotic which hopefully take care of the infection. I've already recommended this practice to a friend of mine.
