Well this review is long overdue only as a result of my ignorance as I connect with social media My experience with Bowman Dental was fantastic. Very upbeat and friendly office . Excellent time as I was a newbie to the office . My blood pressure was taken ,Sheryl the hygenist was so kind and thorough with my cleaning , then Dr Bowman came in to follow up. He was very approachable and honest about what was needed. I so appreciated my time there and have already encouraged friends to join. They also have a savings plan for those of us who have no dental insurance . Please give Bowman Dental a try Deb Miller

I was referred by one of my wife's work colleagues as I found myself dealing with a sudden, unexpected problem over the weekend, losing a bridge days prior to a very public speaking engagement. Dr. Bowman and staff were able to get me in within 24 hours of my contacting them. He did a quick temporary repair, and then we discussed the best long term solution. Not even two yrs later and the very thing I went in to have fixed was my front teeth so I could smile again and now because the other dentist that did my teeth clearly wasn't doing a good job I'm now back to not being able to smile two weeks after the first three teeth were done one broke now two years later I'm left with a whole missing tooth in the front no smiling again this is so bad I already felt bad about myself now it's worse this is why I dont like dentists and they just proved it

I really enjoy going to this place, and not just because of the fancy decor. I like how the employees are friendly, the service is good, they make reasonable accommodations, and they send so many friendly reminders of upcoming appointments. The lobby has a coffee machine and a TV, and new games and books for kids. Usually no wait time. The bathroom does not have a diaper changing table, not a problem for most people, but for those with very young children, it's a disappointment to go to a family friendly place and then are forced to change children's diapers on the floor in the bathroom. Most of the staff are good with children, and are willing to let them use the suction tools themselves, and give them cool sunglasses to wear to dim the lights shone on their faces during cleanings. I've only had one negative experience were my kindergartner was reading quietly in the lobby while I went with my other child, and the staff laughed off my vocal request to leave the TV off, and put on a teen show for her. I was dismayed, but it wasn't terrible. They have made great effort to be as family friendly as possible, and I continue to enjoy talking my children to their happy efficient care.

All the staff at Dr. Bowman's office are extremely friendly, attentive, proffessional and helpful. Their office is welcoming and very comfortable. The longer hours they operate make it easy to get an appt. within a reasonable amount of time and the time they spend with you is not rushed. They listen attentively to any concerns you may have and take the time to explain all your options. I highly recommend this office for all your dental needs and am confident your experience, from the time you make your first appointment with the receptionists, to a cleaning with the hygienists, and meeting with the dentist himself will be nothing more than a positive experience.

Another apt for my 3.5 year old today. He’s never had to have anything but cleanings done, so today for the second time, Dr Hancock tried to put a filling in, but due to my son having some anxiety and not really cooperating, it was an unsuccessful appt. I feel really awful for wasting the staffs time , but they were really amazing with my son. They were patient and tried really hard to calm him down, and when we decided it just wasn’t gonna happen today, they continued to be really supportive and understanding. I really appreciate that!

While I was so scared and hesitant going in I was made to feel so “at ease”. I absolutely cannot say enough about Dr. Bowman and all of the staff that I interacted with today. The procedure I am having is absolutely huge and I feel 100% confident I’ve made the right decision with Dr. Bowman’s advice. This ended up being one of my best days, and as anyone knows with teeth problems, that is not ever the case. I started out the visit teary and left feeling so much better. UPDATE to original review below: Spoke with Ria and she was super nice and seemed genuinely concerned. We talked through the issues I had both with billing and otherwise. My experience could have just been a fluke, but she did think there were maybe a couple things in their process that either fell through or could use a bit of tweaking to make patient experience better. Really appreciate the follow up and adding back a star based on that. Original review: Switched to this dentist because of change in work location and I have gone twice for cleaning and I am pretty unsatisfied with their shady billing practices and feel like they try to push unnecessary procedures. You fill out all this paperwork that you think they would be mindful of insurance - I have a PPO plan but they put me with the Premier Non-PPO dentist so was billed more than plan allows. Also they decided to x-ray me with the panoramic which I didn't need, but I guess it's my fault that I didn't check my insurance ahead of time (it doesn't cover panoramic) so I could tell them to not do that. They did correct my bill that first time after I voiced my concerns and they switched me to the PPO dentist so that (supposedly) my plan would cover the cleaning. So the second time - had my cleaning and exam by PPO dentist. He said I had a cavity on my sealant - didn't even do x-rays, didn't even really discuss it with me. I decided to decline scheduling to have it taken care of after discussing my concerns with the hygienist. I have had regular 2x year cleanings with other dentists and haven't had a cavity in well over a decade (and I also have never been billed more than the plan allows for a cleaning). So then I get the bill and they charged me the Premier Non-PPO rate for the cleaning so my insurance doesn't cover it all. I switched to the PPO dentist specifically to have my insurance cover it and they know that. I expressed my dissatisfaction to the person I spoke to on the phone and she just tried to rush me off the line and didn't apologize for any of it, just said she can't know everyone's insurance. I am surprised with all the positive reviews since I've been twice and have had issues both times. Just not comfortable with this place - feel kinda taken advantage of. Will definitely be switching to a different dentist.
