Dr. Justin Dworak from Maranatha Dental was very inexperienced with trauma when doing my molar. I had high anxiety from the pain I had for two days and it increased during the procedure. I eventually went into a flashback which he didn't understand and wanted no more to do with me. I left with hurt and humiliation. I called then Nebraska Oral and Facial Surgery. The receptionist relieved my hurt and humiliation on first contact with the call. Dr. Davis during consultation relieved my hurt and humiliation by his understanding and treatment. The assistant, nurses were outstanding in kindness and so professional. I cannot say enough for all their tremendous work. I went away with happiness and healing. I recommend if you want teeth done and have trauma they understand and will definitely have knowledge to work with you.

The financial advisor calls your insurance company on your behalf to get estimated coverage for you, so you know exactly what you will owe out of pocket the day of the procedure. I would definitely recommend Nebraska Oral Facial Surgery to anyone I know! The staff was very accommodating and made me feel relaxed and safe. My wisdom teeth removal was a breeze! It seemed like as soon as they gave me the anesthesia I was awake again and in the recovery room. It has now been about 9 hours since my surgery and even though the numbness is just now going away I still only feel mildly sore with minimal swelling. Thank you to Dr. Matt Davis and all of the other doctors, nurses and staff that took great care of me today, I really appreciate your level of care for your patients! Keep up the great work!

So were the nurses in the operating room, and the post-op nurse - simply great - sorry, I was a bit nervous and a bit dizzy, so I don't remember their names. But they all took very good care of me. This is my second time using Dr. Reich at NOFS. I would not go to anyone else. He is brilliant, FAST, and VERY affordable. In fact, two troublesome extractions cost LESS than one easy-access small filling by my regular dentist (who is also outstanding). NOFS is very professional and kindly in all their interactions. They take great care to make sure there are no surprises when the bill comes, and they are active in helping patients who need financing to make arrangements. He is Mayo-trained and it shows!

I will admit that there was a bit of anxiety having teeth removed for implants. But when I was briefed on the procedure and felt welcomed I was very much at ease. Everything went very smooth! They took incredible x-rays and showed me how everything was done. The doctor visited me and let me know exactly what he was going to do. He was very friendly as was every team member there at Nebraska Oral and Facial Surgery. When it came to the actual surgery they put me under and I felt very comfortable during this process although I am not usually comfortable under these conditions. It seemed like the whole surgery only took five minutes! They took very good care of me and now just a few hours later I feel great and already getting some much needed calories. We arrived early for our appointment due to inclement weather. The staff helped us right away getting us settled and answered all our questions. It’s always nice when the doctor takes time to visit and explain the procedure, which made my 12 year old son feel more comfortable. Even when I was very tense during the I.V. the nurses were nothing but helpful, soothing and kind. I had a really great experience! I am a total wimp with any kind of medical or dental procedures. I'm not exaggerting. My husband was hesitant about letting me go back without holding my hand. He knows me. I only had a little bit of anxiety which was very quickly whisked away with smiles, friendly conversations and hugs from the ladies that remembered me from when I came in with my daughters (wisdom teeth removal) and my husband a few months prior. It almost felt like a friendly reunion. The procedure was not painful and the staff worked efficiently and quickly setting me up for the surgery. I had my procedure in the morning and I was out and on my way within two hrs. I would have left sooner but they were doing some touch up work on my temporary implant while I was taking it easy in the recovery room. I was amused by Dr. Riecks way of shaking hands with me in recovery, wiggling my foot. :) My hands were hiding under the cozy blanket with a pulse/oxygen monitor on one hand and a blood pressure cuff on the other arm so it made sense to keep them right where they were. If I ever need another dental procedure, even an implant on another tooth, I would not hesitate to come back here for another little "reunion", a free t-shirt and some delicious ice cream to eat on my way home. :) I totally recommend!

Had such a great experience. My first ever “surgery” (wisdom teeth) went under with IV sedation. I was pretty nervous but when I got there I felt better because of the staffs amazing “bedside” manner. Nicest people ever. There was a doctor shadowing mine, that I met JUST before I went under, (moody I believe was his last name?) I don’t know but he was cool as hell and I hope they take him on too. The office staff and dental assistants were nice. I like the option of filling out paperwork online and submitting prior to the office visit. Dr. Cleverly was patient and polite. I had my wisdom teeth removed on Friday, and the whole experience was wonderful. It was my first time ever to go “under” so I was very nervous/scared, the staff made me feel at ease and safe. I had an IV sedation so after the procedure, it was slightly hazy but the parts that I do remember I know the staff was super caring. Dr. Rallis and his team was amazing and thankful that I got a team that was aware of my anxiousness and made me feel comfortable. I’m confident she helped me secure the best price for services rendered. Unfortunately, my experience with the surgery staff was dramatically different. I am twenty-five years old. I had all my teeth pulled and six implants placed. During parts of the surgery, I woke up. I started to sob. I switched between asking where my Mom was and telling everyone that I needed her. It’s extremely normal for sedation and narcotics to make people emotional. By extension, I’d say it’s normal to be emotional when one wakes up during an operation in pain, confused, and scared. No one in the room attempted to comfort me. No one asked if I was in any pain. No one told me what was happening. Even typing this has left me in tears, as I can’t seem to find the words to articulate how alone and frightened I felt during those minutes. I’ve had 10 various surgeries over the past eight years, so I feel confident in judging the staff’s reaction to my hysteria. In between someone telling me to stop crying as they pulled on my lips, I saw a few people staring in the doorway. The annoyance was pailable in the operating room and the recovery room. I’m assuming that’s why I kept apologizing through the blood filling my mouth. This was the worst experience of my life. While I don’t fault the staff for my waking up, I do blame them for their unfeeling bedside manner and lack of empathy. In addition, the post-op instructions were nonexistent. I was given a recipe booklet for wisdom teeth extractions, a pamphlet on opioid addictions, and a flier that explained the benefits of implants. My Mom attempted to relay what we had been told after the surgery, but neither of us could remember specifics; I, drugged to the gills and her upset about my state. I had to use the internet to find out how often I should be cleaning my wounds, when to take the dentures out etc. These are very important things to know, so not being given written directions feels reckless. As someone who already suffered from dental anxiety and now has to deal with the ramifications of this traumatic event, I would not recommend Nebraska Oral and Facial Surgery.

My family has seen Dr. Rallis for years. Between my 2 daughters, they have had 4 procedures. The office is efficient and friendly. They communicate well. One of the procedures was fairly substantial and Dr. Rallis cared enough to call the next day to see how things were going. I have heard they charge more than other oral surgeons, but I am willing to pay for the skill and expertise they provide. I would recommend Dr. Rallis to anyone having oral surgery.

I can not tell you enough, just how well my experience has been with everyone at NOFS ! I have several health issues including chronic headache's, chronic dry mouth and having diabetes, they made me very comfortable. I assumed with pulling a tooth it would take a lot of time and painful, but I was wrong. The entire surgery only 20 minutes and almost pain free. I again assumed I'd be in pain for at least three days, but I wasn't. Having two other teeth extractied at a different business, took a lot more time and fairly painful, I'll always return to NOFS ! Dr. Rieck may be a skilled surgeon, however his treatment of me when I was referred to him for non- surgical treatment of ongoing tooth and jaw pain was entirely different. As others have said the support staff is excellent. When I was referred to the office after I had been struggling with severe nerve and jaw pain for two weeks Dr. Rieck made it clear that my condition had not risen to the point of having required a referral to him. When I tried to talk to him about pain management his words were, "Do what you feel is best" to deal with the pain. Fourteen years ago I donated a kidney to my sister, and am unable go take medications such as Advil or others in the NSAID group. Advil is always the first recommendation for oral pain. I told him I have been instructed by my nephrologist, rheumatologist and regular doctor not to take meds in that category as my kidney numbers showed stress. I quit taking them entirely and my kidney lab numbers improved. Dr. Reick said he didn't think taking some for a relatively short period of time would hurt me. I disagreed. The bottom line was I experienced very cold hearted and devaluing treatment when it came to something that wasn't going to earn the practice the money that I'm sure their oral surgery does. If I had felt better at the time I would have told him directly that I would never visit his practice again. So I will be looking for another office to help me as I try to find a diagnosis for the severe jaw and tooth pain for 3 weeks now.

Executed procedure as discussed and not waivered to a different path without telling me. They sent a "goody" bag home with me & in that bag was a prescription schedule. About the size of an letter sized envelope, with columns for meds & rows for time of day. It was Great having that handy to refer to. So so handy, I thought. I wish & think that should be a Standard across all dental/medical fields (anyone writing prescriptions); Especially when you're to be on 3 or 4 meds & alternating them throughout the day. I had my wisdom teeth removed here 6 days ago as I am writing. The cost was at the bottom of what they quoted me and I was more than impressed by their staff. I spoke with two different nurses about the procedure before hand and spoke with the surgeon and a financial adviser as well. All seemed more than willing to answer any and all of my questions. After they sent me home with a bunch of materials on how to recover and a list of recipes for foods I could eat! They even gave me a call today to make sure that everything is going OK which was more than appreciated. If you are unfortunate enough to need your wisdom teeth removed, this is the place to go.
