I’ve never been a fan of dentists, but I am now! All of the staff are extremely kind, and understanding. I hadn’t been to the dentist in a VERY long time, but that didn’t matter. There is a plan of action that I am completely aware of, and have a say in. 10 out of 5 stars - would highly recommend.

I called for a emergency appointment and was able to get in with in a few hours of calling. The receptionist was great to work with, the dental assistant was very soft handed with my sore mouth. Dr Welch was in the room with in minutes of me getting in the chair. He was very kind, listened to what I had to say about my pain, asked me questions and listend to my answers. He was very soft with my very painful mouth. Took the time to explain different options to me and what he felt was the best for my situation. Being new to the area and looking for a dental office for my self and family, I will most deffenatly be back to see them and feel very comfortable taking our daughters to see Dr. Welch. 5 stars from me for sure !'

I'm 72 years old and Dr. Smith is the best dentist I've ever had. Even before I was an established patient of his, he responded immediately to a dental emergency I had and stopped the pain. His staff and medical hygienists are the best also. My sense is that he cares about his patients. I highly recommend his dentistry practice.

Dr. Smith cares. He encouraged me to meet him at his office on a Saturday evening at 8:00 for dental work in order to relieve my toothache. Dr. Smith did this after his flight from Atlanta. His flight arrived at the Helena airport at 7:30. I can not thank Dr. Smith enough. The staff at the office are great also. They are genuine, glad to serve and see you; putting your mind at ease.

About 15 years ago when I was living in Helena I had a dental emergency and some continuing work done from John Smith and it was by far the best dental experience I've ever had in my 44 years. So much that for about a year I traveled an hour and a half even when I lived in Bozeman just to see him in Helena. Even in snowstorms. Now I've been back in Ohio where I'm from originally for over 10 years and I cannot find anything close to that great of an experience. It just occurred to me now to write a review because I need some work done currently and I was thinking back on that experience wishing I wasn't 2000 miles away right now. He was gentle, patient, explained things to me and was positive and supportive about the current and future health of my teeth. I usually suffer from dentist office anxiety so to say. It was the only time I've ever tipped or given a gift to a dentist. He was so great I gave him a gift certificate for dinner for two at a nice place. He was the best Dentist I've ever had and I hope he's still doing well :)

Great service. Very friendly. The staff shares great Information on oral health. The custom mouth guard they made me is fantastic and well worth the money since they are equivalent in price to the high end mouth guards. The boil and bite mouth guards I have used in the past just don't perform like my custom fitted one. I am able to speak without removing my mouth guard. It does not fall out. I can breath more comfortably. I don't have to constantly clinch my teeth to keep it in place. This allows me to stay focused when sparring since I don't have to worry about it.

The office setting and exam rooms are set up with comfort in mind. I experienced no pain except a bit when numbing my mouth. Dr. Welch was very careful and did a fantastic job.

Dr. Smith (John to me after knowing him for 25 years and going on numerous wilderness hikes with him) has given me excellent oral care over the years. I had recently been diagnosed with mild sleep apnea and was waking up 6-8 times a night. I didn't do well with the CPAP machine and declined to use one at home and just figured I would have to live with it. On a visit to "John's" office for a biannual cleaning, I updated my patient history on the computer to reflect the apnea. John must actually read those computerized patient notes and he queried me about the apnea and said that he had experienced good results by having his patients use a mouth guard that manipulated the lower jaw to keep the airway open during sleep. Long story short, using the mouth guard John made for me, I wake up 0-1 times a night. It has dramatically improved the quality of my sleep! Going on a trip, I may leave my cell phone, I may forget my wife, but I don't forget my mouth guard.
