They’ve always worked with me in regards to the bill and when I found out I’d have a $6k bill for a procedure I started to cry in their office and they were so kind to me and helped me get on a payment plan so that I could get the procedure done and alleviate my pain. The dentist was really nice and went over the procedure and ask me what one would work. After he finished they had me talk to there financial person and how they would sit down and go over the numbers with me. Being retired income limited they worked the numbers to work with me on payments after insurance coverage. Wow I was really surprised how they cared and how the handle everything from the beginning to the end. I am thinking of making hayes Dental my permanent home dentist.

I sensed the hygienist who cleaned my teeth was irritated with me because I declined the x-rays. I sensed the irritation throughout the cleaning although I don't know her personality so it's possible I misread her. I have never had a hygienist during a cleaning where I was having the bacteria and plaque scraped off my teeth, ask me to swallow instead of having it suctioned out of my mouth. After a couple of times, I had to ask her to suction instead of me swallowing what was being scraped off of my teeth. Maybe this is now common practice? Once the dentist came and visited with me, he was very pleasant and kind but since the majority of my visit was with the hygienist, it was overall not a great experience. I would merely like to remind that it is patient choice to have certain procedures done or not and a patient should not feel bad because of that choice. Especially when the benefits and disadvantages have been explained and the patient still chooses to decline. You never know ones situation. Again, maybe I misread.

I was fortunate enough to work with Doctor Max and his team at Hays Dental. I spent years longing for veneers, but was always concerned about the ability of someone in a smaller city such as Bozeman to have the experience to do the job. I planned on doing my veneers in LA or NYC, but a flight anxiety always kept me from following through. Finally I read enough about Hays and decided to pull the trigger. I can say emphatically that not only did they do a terrific job, but that their customer service was absolutely top notch. From TVs above the chairs to help distract you, to friendly and exceedingly competent hygienists and staff, to an incredibly responsive team that can help with unexpected issues, they were above and beyond. My temporary veneers (which are prone to breaking) had issues a few times when I didn't treat them as carefully as I should, and both times they scheduled a repair within 1-2 hours of my phone call. Considering many dental appointments are made months in advance, it was fairly remarkable. Doctor Max was a legitimately solid dude, and treated me as a friend, not as a patient. That is important, but much more important was his competency. I would rather have a rude doctor than a bad doctor. He was a caring and tender workman when he was dealing with a lot of teeth that could have caused a lot of pain, no matter how strange that sounds. I am waiting until March to take my final before and after photos, but I will attach a before photo, as well as a photo with my temporary veneers below. I will say that my permanent teeth look very similar to the photos you see below.

Let me state that first, I'm not a man of means and I only have medicaid, which they don't accept. I have paid out of pocket for my visits - but it's been worth it! With that said, I have received only the FINEST care at Hays Dental Group - every time! J. Max Wasserburger, D.D.S. was simply amazing, and Amy, the CDA that assisted Dr. Wasserburger was amazing as well. Read on for the gory details! My second visit was to have a molar extracted. I'm 40 years old as of writing this, and the roots of the molar were incredibly deep. I've had teeth pulled at other dentist offices before, and it was always a nasty experience - but not at Hays Dental Group! Being perfectly honest here, Dr. Wasserburger and Amy were so gentle, and aware of me as a patient AND a person, it was awesome! I can't stress that last part enough. Dr. W was concerned about the tooth breaking and leaving some of the root in my gums, which could cause so many other problems (as well as extra visits to take care of those problems) so he was incredibly careful during the removal of the tooth. He could have just muscled it out and said, "We're done, on to the next patient!" - but he didn't. He extracted the tooth so carefully, with no pain whatsoever the entire time, and even more wonderful - no breakage of the tooth or the roots! Talk about skill and patience! I, being the foolish person I am, hadn't eaten that morning and at the end of the procedure, nearly passed out from low blood sugar! Instead of moving on to the next patient and more $ - Dr. Wasserburger and Amy stayed with me an EXTRA HALF AN HOUR after we were done, fanning me with cool air and bringing me cold juice to drink! Awesome! Like I said before, I'm not a man with much money, but I've already made up my mind to never go anywhere else. There is no other dentist office I've ever visited that provides such wonderfully caring, personal, expert service. Six stars out of five from me!

They do offer top-of-line whitening and cosmetic work but for those of us who want a basic approach, they never try to up-sell you!. Had a crown come out in the evening and the very next morning Dr Schwieterman made room for me to have the crown cemented back in place as soon as I arrived.
