I know I’m biased because Nelson is my son, but the experience I had today as he made a new crown for me was unbelievable. The technology that he is brought to the practice truly makes dentistry much easier for the patient and the provider. The accuracy Of crown construction is amazing as absolutely no adjustments were necessary for the permanent crown that was constructed in the office. And I thought I was a good dentist.

After finding some tooth decay at the base of a tooth with a crown, Dr. Nelson and staff treated me to a wonderful experience of removing the old crown, treating the tooth decay and with their high tech equipment molded and milled a brand new crown, attached it to the tooth—all in the same appointment!!! Unbelievable—the dental office can create and install a new crown while you are in the dentist chair!! Love how they use the latest “big city” technology right here in Lawson!! I can't remember the name of my dental hygienist but she was so great! She kept checking on me and making sure my mouth was suctioned out! There was also another lovely dental hygienist who came in to do my shot and she did so amazing I swear I barely felt anything! They always make sure I'm really comfortable. They know that I have major anxiety problems (especially with the dentist) and they are always checking in with me to make sure I'm ok! My dentist is so cool and awesome and he's so funny! They definitely do a great job with me and they have so much patience with me and the anxiety that I get. Today I had two teeth done and I honestly couldn't tell. But I think the greatest thing is, is also the staff in the front. Whenever I call or need anything they are always there for me and so comforting. Also, with my payment plan they made it to where I can afford it and it's not a long drawn out plan. I'm so thankful for these wonderful people! All of them are excellent! Of course I'll be back!

I was really impressed with Dr Kanning and his staff - the imaging and diagnostic tools they used were cutting edge and alerted me to some serious concerns. The 3-D imaging Dr Kanning used revealed I have a narrow airway which could lead long-term health problems. This would have been impossible to know without the imaging they used! Now that I have accurate information I can actually prevent issues before they arise. I have seen dentists in Boston, San Francisco and in between, and I was amazed at what great technology and care was being given in a rural area. I drove out of my way to go to Kanning Dental and I don’t regret it a bit. Worth the drive! I have every confidence in Dr Kanning and his team. Thank you for your amazing care!

Seven is Enough

This dental office is amazing! They treat you like family. My 5 year old loves to come here. My 11 year old didn’t realize they give you a shot when doing a filling. He never felt a thing. Watched TV the whole time. They have sedation or gas options for people (chickens) fearful like me. The small town “everybody knows everybody” feeling is a huge benefit here. They are honest and will do what is best for you and your budget. Our family has had a couple dental emergencies. They worked to get us in immediately and vwry genuinely concerned about our needs. I can’t say enough about this group. From the smile that greets you to the reassuring dental assistants to the top notch dentist. Thus office is one of a kind. You won’t find better.

Everyone at Kanning Dental is so friendly! I have sensitive teeth and Dr. Nelson Kanning has offered me new treatments that last longer than a single use treatment/toothpaste. My daughter made the switch to Kanning Dental when she was 2, as I wanted someone I felt completely comfortable with to fill a cavity she had acquired from drinking milk all day. Dr. Nelson & staff all made her feel safe and comfortable, letting her see all the tools they would be using. Now, she can't wait for her 6 month appointments, and always wants to go with me to my 6 month appointments! We have another child on the way and I have already confirmed he can be a patient starting with his first ever appointment! I highly recommend both Dr. Kannings!

I had an emergency dental issue. I called and Kanning dental squeezed me in that day. I have a very high level of anxiety at the dentist. That factor plus the emergency situation and pain associated made my anxiety was off the charts. Kayleigh and Jenna sat with me and helped calm me and Nelson Kanning was just great! This dentist office staff are leaps and bounds above other offices! They CARE! The girls at the front desk do what they can to get you in and when you get their make you feel like family! We have been going to the same dentist for many years. We now live in Kearney but my daughter attends school in Lawson. We decided to go with Dr. Kanning not simply due to location - it was because I had heard nothing but positive remarks about Dr. Kanning and his staff. This morning my daughter announced that she wanted to go to her "old dentist" as we were walking in. After our appointment she asked when we were going back. Coming from a child who was sometimes resistant during dental visits this was a welcomed change. As for my experience, I have never had any dentist perform such a thorough examination with detailed explanation for each step of the process. This gave me confidence in their knowledge and made me feel comfortable in our choice to move our family to Dr. Kanning.

I've been going here for several years now and my experience with the normal check ups have been a more pleasant experience than most would think the dentist would be. I even went in to have a surgical procedure done at the time of this review. Even though I have never had any sort of surgical procedure done before. The doctor and the assistants did an amazing job of letting me know what to expect. As well as an excellent job before, during, and after my procedure. I couldnt have been more pleased with how my procedure was handled

Took my 2 year old in, as an introduction to dentist. While he didn't let them actually do any services, the staff were all friendly & patient with him, trying to get him comfortable, showing him dental instruments, a stuffed lion with teeth & a huge toothbrush, and Dr. Kanning even took my son to his office to show him the large framed picture of the John Deere tractor on his wall. My son seemed to enjoy the visit and even got a toy, toothbrush, and toothpaste. Plus, they didn't even bill us for the visit! Great staff, as well as the latest in equipment and services. We recommend!

I usually do not take the time to leave reviews, but in this case I made it a point to take the time to do so. The great experiences that my family and I have had going to the dentist of all places have surpassed all of our expectations. All the good words about Kanning Dental are absolutely true. They treat you like family in that they really do care about you and your family's health. I have been very hesitant, in the past, about going to the dentist out of fear of pain, fear of being judged, fear of expense, etc... Over the years I had put off getting dental work done because of the expenses of buying a house, raising a family, work or simply not finding the time. Other things were the priority. During that time I found myself smiling less, or behind closed lips. Kanning Dental gave me options and set up a plan to fix my smile all without judging me in any way. They were all just happy I was coming in to get the work done and get my smile back.
