There are a few things that would help the patient after any operation. The most important is to give the patient a printed handout with directions on how to take post-op care of the wound. For example I had a difficult extraction requiring a lot of needles, anesthetic, hard plier pulls and stitches. When it was over and I was somewhat stunned, I was directed to where to pay, given two prescriptions and the bill. A few days later, I checked reputable medical sites and found that, for the post-op to go well, there were a number of important things I should have done to help make recovery go well. Not knowing that could have put successful recovery at risk. Post-op care info has to be a printout because, telling the patient, befuddled by drugs and stress, won’t be effective. This omission is not unique to Dr. Collier’s office. I’ve found it the norm in most of my previous medical interactions. It would be a nice addition to the competent treatment I received from Dr. Collier and his staff. Dr. Collier communicates in a clear, friendly manner while explaining the treatment program and responds helpfully to questions about treatment procedures. He does not talk down to you, avoiding the manner of many professionals. He takes time to speak with you on the phone. Importantly, he is credentialed by The American Academy of Implant Dentistry, meaning he has special post-doc training in dental implants. Many dentists who offer implants lack that special training. I recommend Dr. Collier.

These people told me a price with no insurance and I agreed. We get to the back and they inject me with numbing medicine and then send another lady in there to double the price. I could not afford the double price so I had to leave with nothing being done and they charged me $97 to leave without anything at all being done for me. Please don't take youraelf or people you love to a place like this! We all deserve better treatment than this!

GO TO OXFORD DENTAL CLINIC INSTEAD Made an appointment to see about fixing a broken tooth, when I went in the first tech to X-ray me took seven tries, claiming she "hadn't been able to get a good x-ray all day" and she was "just having an off day". After jabbing the x-ray square into my broken tooth unsuccessfully, she called in the other tech, who proceeded to x-ray the complete wrong side of my mouth. When a proper x-ray was finally taken and (who I can only assume was, for lack of an introduction) the dentist came in, she began poking and jabbing at the tooth with no real explanation as to why. She then proceeded to tell me I needed a root canal and recommended me to an endodontist outside of my insurance, who told me that I did not, in fact, need a root canal. Very disappointing GO TO OXFORD DENTAL CLINIC INSTEAD - follow up GO TO OXFORD DENTAL CLINIC INSTEAD I have nothing positive to say about this place, the acting manager (presumably the person who has commented on this review) called me, in an attempt to quell my frustrations with how terribly their office had handled my visit. Even upon explaining why I was so dissatisfied the woman, by the name of Gina, insisted that she had spoken with the dentist and that she had “told me everything I needed to know”, which is just untrue, if it weren’t I wouldn’t have written the initial review. She continued to say that their office “stays booked so they must be doing something right”. The only thing they did right is refer me somewhere else and get me out of there, I will turn everyone I know away for their own well-being. GO TO OXFORD DENTAL CLINIC INSTEAD.
