Recently I had a hip replacement. I was told to let the dentist know this information if I needed to see one after the surgery. I shared the info with the dentist at SMP. The dentist "kindly refused" to work on my teeth because of the risk of infection. I wasn't aware that I should have been taking antibiotics before coming to have dental work done. I really appreciate the dentist "kindly refusing" to work on my teeth. And answering explaining the situation to me. Two thumbs up!!! Thank you for caring.

My husband, Dr. Simpson referred me with problematic situation to our newer periodontist - Dr. Sergey Dolgov. My first procedure took place today - infected, vertically split maxillary molar was surgically extracted, bone grafting completed, sutures placed, care package given with detailed instructions. Dr. Sergey and Christine worked on very professional, effective, organized, gentled manner, procedure went smooth and fast. I am very grateful to all staff go the Clinic!!!

This was my first visit to Southern Minnesota Periodontics. I had bone graft surgery done 5 days ago. Everyone here was very friendly! Doctor Jernberg was polite & thorough. He went over all the details before, during and after the procedure. He even called me couple days later to see how I was doing which I thought was very professional!

Had a good experience with Dr. Gary R. Jernberg D.D.S., M.S.D, except for the billing. I asked to have them bill my Blue Cross/Blue Shield medical insurance after my Delta Dental denied the claim. After months of trying to get the office to bill BCBS, I ended up sending BCBS my claim form to see if they would cover any of the cost. Now waiting to see if they will cover any of it. I've never heard of a doctors office being unable to send a statement to an insurance company but I've heard every excuse in the book as to why the claim never got submitted. Very frustrating. I was so frustrated, I ended up canceling my final followup appointment. I didn't want to deal with any further billing problems.

This Periodontics office is the best. I had work done in South Dakota and I thought they were the best. Not even: I had Dr. Sergey Dolgov see me and when he found that my tooth could not be saved due to a crack, he was able to pull the tooth and give me an implant on the spot. I did not feel a thing. He is truly a professional and I would recommend him to anyone needing work. His professional demeanor coupled with his outgoing personality are characteristics which I deem highly necessary for success in today's world. The staff are just as professional and welcoming. Mankato is fortunate to have them here. Bravo!

I took a 1/2 day from work and drove one hour for my appointment that I just made the week before. Upon arriving I was told they couldn't find my appointment. I showed them the text reminder where I confirmed my appointment and they seemed to have no reason what happened. They said said they were very sorry, yea, me too. People hate dentists and this is just another reason why.

I needed implants and Dr.Dolgov was recommended to me as a very skillful periodontist. I was really very nervous as it was my first experience with such kind of procedure. The team in the office and Dr.Dolgov in particularly made the whole treatment very comfortable. During the surgery Dr.Dolgov warned in advance about small pinches , pressure and all the steps he was doing during the implant placement. He took pictures of my teeth, made x-rays before and after the surgery and explained everything very clear. The dental assistant and front desk girls were great as well. Thank you, guys. Best experience indeed! I highly recommend Dr.Dolgov for implant placement!

The receptionists were welcoming and helpful. The periodontal assistant, Deb, was professional. Dr.Jernberg is among the top two doctors of any type that I have experienced. He explained everything as he goes, made me feel comfortable, repeated things so I would actually remember, and gave me ample space to ask questions if I had any. He has a gentle manner that automatically makes you know you can trust him to produce your best process and outcome. I walked away in admiration of how seamlessly, smoothly and easily my procedure went.
