After my first visit, I no longer feel anxious about visiting a dentists surgery. The staff, overall, are all very friendly, attentive and professional and Dr. Downs is an excellent dentist, immediately putting me at ease and explaining what was needed (and why) in a very conversational way. I was really impressed by the state-of-the-art technology used too. Not the kind of gear you find in the typical surgery. I needed a crown replacement, which was taken care of in a single visit thanks to the 3D scanning CAD/CAM milling system they have in the office. My new crown was made by the time a filling was replaced, and it fit precisely too. So, no temporary and no need to go back in for more procedures. Saved both time and $ - pretty good deal :) Highly recommend Progressive!

What all dentist offices should aspire to become: -Upon scheduling an appointment an e-mail was sent confirming the appointment with the option to update forms effortlessly online -Received tactful and efficient follow up until the hour of my appointment -Upon arrival I was greeted by Molly who confirmed easy registration and the comfortable waiting room was clean didn't leave me waiting long -After the short wait was greeted by Cyndi who provided quick, easy, painless x-ray using cool and blood pressure using cool late model tech -Cleaning was a breeze and Cyndi was personable, knowledgeable and genuinely cared about providing the best possible service -After the cleaning, Ayesha carefully and thoroughly went over x-rays and provided educated and detailed analysis while showing first hand on-screen and then physical inspection If you're looking for a step above the rest for your dentistry; I recommend giving Progressive Dental a try.. or maybe not - it would be nice to keep this hidden gem a secret.

I was visiting from out of town and here for my work conference. Came in here with a broken tooth(cap) . Extreme emergency as I had just 3 days here . From the time I walked in I was put at ease and taken right away by the front staff and introduced me to an even friendly Doctor Downs. I expected them to stick it back in with some super glue or something but after a consultation I was told I could have a brand new tooth put in , in just about a couple of hours.... Doctor Downs is awesome and her dental hygienist , front staff and everybody I interacted with was just awesome. An extremely clean environment and state of the art equipment, I must say if I ever had a dental need, and if I was around here, I would come here and recommend this place to all my friends and family. Had a painful wisdom tooth that needed immediate extraction. I recently moved to the Shakopee area and hadn't established a connection with a dentist yet so I was in a mad search for somebody with a pliers and novacaine. I ran across Progressive Dental on a google search and after calling them up they had my pesky tooth laying on a tray next to me within the hour. I was very impressed with how attentive they were and helping me out in a tough situation. The whole staff is super friendly and fun to work with.

What a first class place. From the time you enter the front office you are welcomed with warm smiles. The reception room is spotless. The dental areas are also very clean and modern. The dental is the best. Dr. Downs is the best. You can tell she has the patients health and comfort in mind first. I was asked throughout the procedure if I had any pain. My husband and I just took our 3 kids to Progressive Dental for their first visit, not really sure how it was going to go. Dr. Downs and her team were absolutely amazing with my children. The staff didn't get impatient with them, but slowly lead them over to the chair and made it go up and down; showing them all the really cool gadgets. The kids did great and I have no doubt it was mostly because Dr.Downs and her team are just really good with kids. I will be taking them back there for sure! I myself have gone in for two check-ups which have both been a really good experience. Again, a super nice staff, cleanliness was an A+, parking was a breeze, and Dr. Downs' delicate little fingers in my mouth makes me wonder how I ever had some man's big hairy hands in there rooting around! I'm seriously so comforted knowing we have a new family dentist who couldn't be better.

About a year ago Dr. Downs removed my lower teeth for a denture. I have had nothing but problems with the denture. It started with her not following her plan of having the denture there to put in right have the extractions happened. I want notified it wasn't there until the extractions were already underway. It took another 3 days for the denture to arrive but the swelling was so bad I could put the denture in. It took nearly a month before I was able to wear it. Dr. Downs had to grind a large chunk away and reform it because my bone structure changed after the extractions. She did the reforming inhouse. That first time I had large pieces of what she had done break off in my mouth while chewing. After going back in she redid this section. Now 1 year later there is almost more missing of what she fixed than what's still there. I have to redo the Fixodent about every 5 hours to keep the denture in my mouth. I could/would not recommend this dentist to anyone.

Dr. Downs and her staff are by FAR the best dental team I’ve ever had. I’ve had anxiety about going to the dentist all my life, even for a simple cleaning. I’ve seen Brittney twice for cleanings....she amazing, respectful and personable. Today I had to get filling on one of my front teeth....to say I was anxious about it would be a HUGE understatement. Dr. Downs did an AMAZING job making sure I was comfortable all along and again just so personable. I now look forward to my next cleaning and to see her and her staff again!

I haven't been to a dentist for a long time and needed a lot of work, and it had to be done quickly before my wedding. To add to that, I developed a severe toothaches that was unbearable. Dr. Downs took care of everything that was visible and the tooth pain in one very long visit for me! I was having a tooth ache and called Progressive Dental at 9am because my normal dentist did not have any openings for a few days. They scheduled me a appointment ASAP and I was in office by 9:30. I received a full cleaning, x-rays, needed a filling replaced and was walking out as good as new in no time! You should see my face. I am 57 years old and after looking in the mirror the past couple months I decided it was time to try a little botox. Dr. Downs was professional, calm, and funny too! At first my hands and even my legs were dripping with sweat because I was so nervous. But within minutes I was relaxed because I could see that I was in good hands. Day after my first botox - I look natural, and not plastic like I was worried I might. My skin kind of glows and I look 10 years younger. Actually the worst dentist I've ever been to. The staff were friendly and nice; however, I still have pain months after them "fixing" my cavities. The worst thing is, they destroyed half of my tooth removing the cavity, and when they rebuilt it, they left a huge gap that wasn't there before between the teeth, my gum gets infected now from food being jammed in-between where this never happened before I came here. (There never was this large gap) I'm extremely dissatisfied and I'll never come back, because I'm scared they will just mess up my teeth more. Thought I'd warn everyone, since a lot of these google reviews don't seem to elaborate on the quality of the work they did in the mouth. See a more experienced dentist. Most of the google reviews here are faked accounts.

All of the staff are great. When you walk in, they know who you are and great you as you check in. I love having Cindy as my hygienist. She's great at chatting when cleaning your teeth so it's not akward. Dr. Downs is always happy to see patients and at explaining what's happening with your teeth. She's bubbly and kind. They never make you feel bad if you aren't as great as you should be about your teeth and praise you when you are. I highly reccomend them.
