Service was very (very, very) slow. It was nearly an hour after my appointment time before I even left the lobby. And then it was another two hours to finally get an (unnecessary in my opinion) x-ray and simple exam of the problem area. In total, I was there 3 hours for a 20 minute procedure to repair a chipped filling. Even more disappointing is their pricing procedure. They told me over the phone they accepted Delta Dental. What they failed to disclose is that 1) they would charge me up front a standard xray exam fee before even seeing me. So they were already into me for nearly $200 before I even got to the exam room. 2) Then they developed a 'treatment plan' and came back to the exam room for my credit card so I could pay for it in full, up front, despite having insurance. Their process was to have me pay their entire charge, which I suspect is more than the fee Delta Dental allows, thought I don't know that for sure, yet. Regardless, once Delta pays them, they will refund me. In total almost $600 out of pocket for a relatively simple chip repair, even though I have excellent dental insurance. UPDATE: they did not charge me more than the Delta Dental had negotiated price. However, they did screw up the billing and instead of crediting back my account, they charged me a second time. Eventually they did refund an appropriate amount, but wow, what a mistake to make. They should make that clear when a new customer asks if they take insurance. (Or at least when checking in for the appointment.) I am anxious to see if the fees they charge re in line with the reasonable rates negotiated with Delta. I won't be surprised if I end up paying more than Delta would say is appropriate.

My girlfriend was having some intense toothaches and we were struggling to find a dentist open on a Sunday because she was losing sleep and in excruciating pain. We found this place and they were able to get us in same day. That’s the ONLY reason I’m giving it a single star it deserves zero. When we came in the receptionist was rude and yelling to her coworkers about the phones. My partner filled out paperwork and then they told her it was going to be $200 before she could even see the dentist. (Consultation and X-ray) so she paid $200 and was seen. The doctor came in and was cold, non-informative and ignored all of the questions my girlfriend had. After the xrays he told her he wanted to pull two teeth at over $500 each tooth. She didn’t know what to do so she paid for one of the them to be pulled. They offer no payment plans whatsoever. So she paid $500 on the spot before they even did the procedure. With an addition of $60 for laughing gas that did not do anything. They also made her sign a waiver saying if anything goes wrong it’s not their fault and she has to come back and pay for it which seems kind of off as well. Once the procedure was done she asked if he was going to prescribe pain medication and he said he would possibly do an antibiotic and then he changed his mind. He told her to just take some Tylenol and sent her on her way. Now she’s in twice the pain than she was and we are out $700+. I would NOT recommend this dentist even in you have a dental emergency. If you can wait to see a REAL dentist, I would. Maybe even find some “dentist” in a van they might do a better job than this place. Bottom line, now care dental is the worst dentist I have ever been to in my life. Never go here!

After 15 years at another dental office, I have finally found another primary dental clinic. Now Care in Eagan is the best dental office. Everyone is so caring, and helpful. I have never laughed at a dental appointment in the past. I find coming to the dentist isn't a scary chore anymore, dental work is done in a timely manner. Thanks Now Care

Set up an emergency appointment to pull a tooth, drove an hour to get there only to be told oh sorry your insurance place is closed so we can't verify your dental coverage there for you must pay 50% upfront which is 88 dollars just to walk back for an exam then up to 600 for the extraction. It was then too late to go anywhere else so instead I pulled it myself with pliers. You guys are garbage. Maybe you should mention the fact that I need $700 on the spot before leaving me without options. Thank you for the added pain and suffering.

When my original dentist office told me that it would be two days before I would be able to get in for an appointment I stopped in to see what I could do. To my surprise I was able to get in right away. After seeing the dentist I was amazed at how much he cared about my situation. Not only did he give me an option to save my tooth, but also a way to save on my wallet:) This experience for the first time ever had me LOVING THE DENTIST! DR. GELLER AND HIS ASSOCIATES WILL NOW BE THE ONLY DENTIST I WILL EVER GO BACK TO!

As a health care professional, I have to say that your staff need to be careful in your "responses" to the negative reviews as you are violating HIPPA by disclosing the private conversations you have had with the patient. In one of your responses, you wrote that the patient said "his teeth were in bad shape." This is a clear violation of HIPPA. You cannot share these comments the patients made in private. Also, you cannot comment that patients have been sent to collections, which was also in a response, this is common knowledge! Another response you said the patient said they could not afford dental treatment. You cannot release private information! This is to be discussed privately not publicly. Maybe review the HIPPA terms and conditions.

NowCare Dental did an amazing job. Went in with a broken tooth and severe pain. Dr Johnson did and amazing job put a temp crown on and relieved pain. Highly recommend them. Their prices are good and their staff is very friendly and welcoming.

I got my tooth pulled here last year in October. Well the tooth came out after an hour of tugging my crown tooth, this one was difficult to pull. Well I paid out of pocket due to my own mistake of not having the correct dental insurance card. I came back with my correct dental insurance card to cover the original costs. I had a claim submitted back in November, and I have yet to receive my refund. It was processed partially last December. With the holidays I get that it is busy... However I haven’t heard from anyone about the claim. I call and there’s always a reason for the hold up. Please review the EOBs as soon as possible so that I can move on, thanks a lot!!!

They helped me figure out the best course of action for my dental crisis. I am glad I took a chance on them to cover my dental work. I had an absolutely excellent experience. I hadn't been to the dentist in years and was quite embarrassed by it. However, I was in a lot of pain and knew I needed to go in. The dental assistant was incredibly warm and understanding. Dr. Geller did a wonderful job walking me through the necessary care plan. They also offer laughing gas which helped immensely with my general dislike of having my teeth cleaned. All in all it was an excellent experience and I will definitely be going back!

They calmed my fears, eased my pain, then we went about to professionally solve my problem by extracting a tooth that was in very bad shape. And they did it as comfortably as was possible. Called for an appointment for wisdom tooth pain, the receptionist was very helpful and informative and he was able to schedule me for the same day. Once I arrived they were very courteous , helpful and polite. They offer payment plans, through a credit card and you get results in less then 5 minutes. The dental hygienist and the dentist were both very kind and helpful. They were able to remove my teeth the same day. The person in finance was also helpful. I highly recommend this dentist . They are open daily and you can be get your problem taken care of in a timely manner.

Horrible Billing caused my tooth to need to be extracted. I went in for an accessed tooth after having to wait several weeks to be seen. When I showed up for my exam, I was told I need a filling and possibly a root canal. I was prepared to have it done but was told I need to pay full price because they couldn't verify my insurance. This was after being seen twice already in the same month for cleanings and my insurance information has not changed since my previous visits in the same month. I was told that someone would call me to reschedule once they can validate my insurance. I never received a call. When I followed back up, I was told that I need to wait another month. In the meantime, my tooth has gotten worse and when I finally was seen again, was told I had no other choice then to have my tooth extracted. I am not recommending this place to anyone unless you want to lose your teeth. There are many other choices for dental care in Eagan.

I thought this would be a quick, easy way to figure out what was wrong. At first it went fine, paid $142.80 and waited to see if insurance would cover anything. Got an invoice saying insurance paid $99 of it. Just a couple days later. Called to find out about a reimbursement. The receptionist(s) that I would talk to continued to say it takes this long, or I wouldn't receive a call back. Almost three weeks later they said they'd received a check for the $99 and that they had reimbursed my cc. They said they had a receipt which was e-mailed to me which looks like something I could type up myself. I'd rather of had a toothache and waited to see my real dentist instead of going to this place. I also have not gotten reimbursed yet. In the end I would call your own dentist for emergencies and stay clear of this place.

I really appreciated everyone’s assistance and patience with me from help getting insurance coverage, to preliminary information collection to even the doctor taking time to talk with me. Finally a dental provider that understands their customers. I would recommend them to anyone. Now Care Dental became my regular provider after I discovered them as emergency patient. The Dentists/staff are very kind, considerate and not stuck in the dark ages. Their evening hours make it so easy to get an appointment without taking a whole day off of work...freaking amazing! I called for dental emergency Saturday morning due to horrible pain in my teeth, that did not let me sleep for 2 days. I called multiple dentist who promises immediate care on their website but non of it was true. When I called Now Care Dental they gave me appointment on the same day as they promised in their website. Janine the receptionist had excellent customer service including scheduling, verifying my credentials and help me through the registering process. The assistant was quick and professional completing the x rays, and discussing the the details with me. Then Dr Kirsten Johnson did an excellent job to stop my pain, filled a tooth and extract another one. The whole crew was caring, compassionate, informative, and highly professional. Thank you Now Care Dental, and thank you Dr. Johnson.

The staff at Now Care are all very friendly and helpful. They work with my insurance company and explain what to expect for costs which is very convenient for me. It's also nice not having to use PTO for dental appointments as their hours are flexible. Lastly and most importantly, Dr. Johnson is awesome to work with. She is very sweet, knowledgeable and has a calm demeanor. I feel confident and comfortable receiving treatment from her. Some of the negative reviews seem like they should be directed towards their insurance company, not the dentist.

I had the Pleasure of going to the dentist...I NEVER believed that I would ever say that, yet that was my experience at Now Dental Care...they were open and had me in (semi emergency) the very next day. From the greeting that I received when I arrived to the thank you as I left...Everyone was great, everything was explained to me, a care plan was was suggested to be formed, the future options were explained completely and in layman's terms. One of the best things was there was no pressure to sign your life away, they actually Care about their patients, yet realize that most of us are not sitting on $×× thousands of dollars to throw at our teeth- today! Easiest to sum up as none of the " Fear then Fee" scare tactics that other dental firms use. NOW CARE DENTAL are real people who care about their patients (REALLY) and treat you as more than a number. I was neither paid nor compensated for this review...previously...I was a Very Nervous Patient.

I have always feared the dentist when i was younger. This location has completely changed that. They are very fast with appointments. Everyone I've worked with has been beyond what i ever would expect. Incredibly friendly. I've had a Root Canal, wisdom teeth removal and filling repair at Now Care and ALL of those went very well. I've been told Root Canal's are VERY painful but i only experienced a very mild discomfort only for a very short period of time during the procedure. They made a root canal feel like nothing. I would recommend Now Care Dental to anyone and everyone.

I needed immediate dental assistance on a Sunday morning. It was one of the only places open over the weekend, and I couldn't be happier with my decision to go there! Not only did Dr. Geller do a terrific job fixing my severely chipped tooth, but his assistants were extremely friendly and followed up after my visit. Don't waste your time or money. These people bring shame to the medical field. I thought they were there to help people. These people are only there to help their pocket book. I had a terrible tooth ache and went in on Sunday. I hadn't slept in 2 days. I planned on going to my DDS the next day but could no go another day without sleep. These people were the most tv uncaring money hungry sorry excuses for medical professionals I had ever met. They took x-rays and the dentist came in his name is dr. Geller and he wanted to pull my teeth. I already had a plan set up with my normal dentist on those particular teeth and wanted to have the work completed by him. I asked dr. Geller if he could just give me an antibiotic and some pain medication to get me through the night until I could get in the next day at my dentist he gets up from this chair it says well that's an option and walks out the door never to be seen again. A nurse writes me a prescription for an antibiotic no pain medication I asked about pain medication and they said to take Motrin and Tylenol I wasn't going to pay the $500 out of my pocket to have my tooth pulled so they weren't going to help me. They just left me there in the chair never came back. Once I basically told them I wasn't going to pay the $500 to have my tooth pulled which is an unrealistic amount of money they wanted nothing to do with me and would not help me. Do yourself a favor and avoid these people they are not there to help you they're there to help themselves

I've been phobic of visiting the dentist since I was young, which left me without care for my teeth. Over the past couple years, I'd broken 2 severely, one down to the root. I was in such agonizing pain, I felt no other recourse but to seek help. Enter Dr. Hai and Dr. Geller. Both of these gentlemen have been instrumental in helping me overcome my fears. When I first came into the clinic, I was writhing in pain, but it was nothing compared to what I was feeling inside. The level of dread I was feeling was crippling. When they called my name, I felt nauseous. Dr. Hai could tell what I was feeling and removed any tools from the room that were making me feel worse. He told me I wouldn't have to have anything done tonight, that they just wanted x-rays to see how bad the damage was. I consented and they wrote up a repair plan. They also gave me something to help me with my anxiety and the pain until I came back. NO ONE was willing to help me like that before. No one went out of their way to try and make me feel comfortable. Between my first visit and my appointment for a root canal, core and temporary crown, I felt nervous about what I was doing, so I called the office several times. They were more than gracious enough to alleviate my fears and make sure I was prepared for when the day came. When the day finally did come, I went into the office and was helped by Dr. Geller. He's extremely skilled at what he does. He was able to complete my root canal, install the core and place the temporary crown without me feeling a thing, and keeping me calm the entire time. He was always conscious of my emotional state, and was careful not to have any of the tools he was using enter into my field of vision. When it was all completed, I was finally, for the first time in years, out of pain. The feeling that washed over me was so strong that I almost felt like crying. I was finally able to eat without feeling stabbing pains throughout my whole mouth, finally able to drink something cold without fear of pins and needles shooting through my jaw. After the procedure, I had more questions about the temporary crown I had placed, and again, they were willing to take time out of their schedule to answer anything I needed. When the time came around for the permanent crown, I found myself without fear or anxiety. I was able to walk into the office and get the procedure done without any need for special treatment, thanks to the confidence given back to me by the wonderful people that helped me. I don't think I'll ever be able to thank them enough.

I have state insurance and although they do not take my insurance i had a tooth that i could not wait 2-3 to get removed at an oral surgeon that took my insurance. Now care was open on a weekend and i was able to get in right away to have it looked at and was able to get it removed at a fairly reasonable price. The staff was very friendly and made sure i was comfortable the whole time. They offered refreshments and snacks in the waiting area as well which i think is a great touch. Would highly recommend now care dental especially if you need to get in for emergency or on the weekends.

RE: Response from the owner to Dan.. Nicholas, thank you for the reply. Mine will be thorough aka long. Once again, her insurance did not 'term.' She has been active since March 2016 as verified by her insurance company days ago. She did nothing to 'reinstate' herself since this debacle I hope you understand this. She has been paying her premiums monthly. Her last premium was directly withdrawn less than a week ago. As for the balance, the first statement we received for this outstanding balance was not until July. Let me breakdown the series of events: She was initially scheduled for her crown May 24, 2017. Due to a scheduling conflict with her work, she could not make it and called to reschedule (no notice of anything wrong with insurance or other at this time.) Because the dentist who performed her previous work had since left, she had to reschedule a ways out. She was told the owner(I assume you) had to do most of the work as a result. This appointment was scheduled for June 26th 10am. She showed up, and this was the first she learned about any issue with insurance. ***June 26th. This is when she was first told she had an outstanding balance for some reason, and that she had no insurance. Worth noting, the receptionist was very polite and suggested it was just a mixup and to call her insurance to confirm coverage and reschedule. We did that, and they said she was covered. We then went out of town for a couple weeks figuring her claim would go through, and came back to a statement around last week of July. Called again, and yes she was still covered. Called Deanna to report this first week of August.. ***90 days have not even passed since her missed appointment on May 24th or her June 26th reschedule (again, the first time she was made aware of any issue, and a non issue at that.) As for the EOB's, she only received one from a Michigan based insurance company that she has no coverage with and that came last week. And why would she pay a balance that insurance may have covered and that she had no idea where that initially even came from? With that I think I have addressed everything in your response. You failed to address three items in your response: 1. Why was she told a total cost of services at the beginning that was not correct? She has had numerous procedures done in the past and we are always very adamant about the cost upfront. We have never had an issue like this. 2. Your customer service needs review. Deanna's behavior and dialogue with me was inappropriate. I guarantee that if you experienced treatment like this, you would be extremely dissatisfied and disappointed. 3. 90 days have not even passed to this day since her rescheduled follow up appointments. I eagerly await your response. If you would like to speak with me in person or on the phone to fix this I am here, and would revise my review given a resolution. Thank you, Terra and Dan

The dentist are among the best I've ever known, straightforward, professional, tells it like it is, and are amazingly quick, gentle, and kind. I would love to tell you that the care that my husband received here was top notch, but the truth is he didn't even get to hit the chair. Our insurance was a type that they had never seen and, even though I have verified that they are in network, they wouldn't even do so much as pick up the phone to verify benefits. In addition, they are completely unwilling to work with any kind of payment system and expect payment up front for anything if they can't (or won't) verify your benefits. Don't waste your time.

Had a dental emergency & called Now Care after several other dentists (including my usual dentist) couldn’t get me in. They were efficient from the minute they picked up the phone. Within 1/2 hour I was on my way to being relatively pain free. They aren’t the cheapest option but very professional, efficient, & caring.

Good place for emergency dental work. Know going in that because it's mostly for emergencies that it will cost more typically than a regular dentist. They were able to get me in for the next day which is what I asked for. I work 3rd shift so when I overslept for my AM appointment, they were still able to see me a few hours later that day. They worked with my insurance to see what the cost would be for the work I needed but it was too expensive since it was out of network. However, I did get a prescription for antibiotics and painkillers to tide me over till I could see my regular dentist. Nice and friendly people. I would suggest only going here for emergency work unless they are in-network for your insurance.

If I could give them 10 stars I would. If anyine has ever dealt with tooth pain then you know how much of a hassle it is to get in same day and actually have the pain taken care of. They got both my husband and I in same day and mine was on a weekend. They took care of the pain and have wonderful customer care. I would highly recommend!!!

They told me on the phone it would be $105 for a exam so I made an appointment but when I arrived they said it was $242.00 to see a dentist. I really wish they were upfront and honest about the price.

Dennis Pelletier. Had two teeth pulled. My right side of my face was swollen right up to my eye due to infection. The dentist drained a lot of the infection. He also grinded down a tooth that was bothering me. He deadened the gums where the two teeth were to be pulled. I flelt nothing. He gave me some options. The big shocker was the bill. $1,476.00. You have pushed me over with a feather . I think this is about a thousand dollars out of line. If this happens again I would look for another dentist. I had no insurance and on a fixed income. That was my only complaint.

I was not impressed with the staff at this office particularly Nancy. My son came in to the office, new to the area and in an emergency situation. He was overcharged and felt pressured into accepting treatment. The quality of work may have been acceptable but the treatment of patients is quite the opposite. I would be very careful when choosing this office.

Made a same day emergency appointment to get my boyfriend's 2 upper wisdom teeth taken out for a great price considering how much pain he was in and how fast we could get in plus not having insurance. Had to drive from st.cloud but so worth it. The receptionist could of been more inviting and friendlier but the rest of the staff were amazing and wish I could go there for all my dental needs but it's too far. The dentist truly cared about his well being and made sure he was comfortable and ready before she started. Highly recommended for emergency tooth removal. Broke molar turned into something else wicked on a Friday so I waited in pain getting little to no sleep over the weekend to call my/my son's regular dentist Mon morning and was told they can "take a look" in 6 DAYS! this after explaining the pain now starting to panic a bit . being a single father with the new school yr and sports starting real quick and can't afford to miss work/time in pain . I wish I knew about Now Dental Care earlier could have saved myself alot of panic and pain . got me in same day and were able to pull the tooth (only option) was there as new customer and was out the door pain free in 1.5 hrs . super smooth and cheap . Considering switching this to our family dentist permantly . People there were chill and understanding if in bad pain they get ya in fast n pull for under 350.00 on average give or take . that's if ya don't have insurance . They can get us out of pain quick plus open 365 days per yr is a good peice of mind to have . bright-clean-fast .

It seems as though the emergancy/weekend crew really make this clinic not worth visiting. Outside of the nurses, who were wonderful and personable, the Dr had no personality or warmth when explaining my current state of why I was in intense pain and what I could do to fix it. Once I had an answer he ghosted me, never to be seen again for further explination. Instead he was replaced by a woman equally devoid of relatibility who wanted almost $800 from me but couldn't explain exactly what was going to happen to me TODAY like I was asking, or how it was going to help my pain. She then also ghosted me. Then a wonderful nurse helped me get some pain meds and tried to get someone to explain to me anything. She wasn't able to get anyone to pay any attention to me so I left. I will be going to a clinic 20 miles from my house.

Was able to get in on a holiday weekend after breaking my front tooth the night before. They helped me choose the best option rather than the most expensive one. Staff very friendly, office very clean and nice. This is not my regular dentist either but since I’ve moved back to the area from out of state I will probably go to them in the future for dental care. 10/10 would recommend.

I've been to Now Care Dental a few times and every time they take excellent care of me. Every dentist there has worked on my teeth at some point and I can say with all honesty that each and every one is VERY good at what they do! I had a root canal and they did it flawlessly! I also had some fillings put in and haven't had any problems with those either. Even the front desk is staffed with kind, happy people so from beginning to end, they create a stress-free environment! I should also mention that each time I had an appointment, they could usually get me started before the appointed time so their time management is also stellar. In summation, hands down, this is the best dentist I've ever gone to and would highly recommend Now Care Dental in Eagan to anyone in need of dental work!

This was some of the best dental care that I have ever received. I was really nervous about finding a dentist this way, because my grandfather was my dentist up until the day he passed away, so I was putting off finding a new dentist as long as I could. Well the universe had different plans. I cracked a crown on my front right tooth and a piece came right off. This was at 2pm on a Saturday. I couldn’t stand the sensitivity or the pain, so I had to find a place to get it fixed ASAP. So after some googling I found Now Care Dental. I read some of the reviews on here and to be honest those review along with them not being my grandfather I was really nervous, however I had no other alternative. I called and made an appointment for that day. I walked in and presented my insurance card (which didn’t do to much because this dentist is out of network) Checked in on their IPads. Shortly after that I was called back. I shared my Nervousness with anyone who would listen. Everyone did everything they could to make sure that I was comfortable. Dr. Allman he was absolutely wonderful! He was fun and sweet and he knew I knew the drill and treated me as such. He is willing to take the time if you are. Nothing is rushed because he wants to make sure that you are happy! He removed all of my old crown, and fitted me with a temporary for three weeks because Now Care Dental does not make crowns in house, they send them to a lab to be made! My grandfather did the same thing. I know it doesn’t sound like it a better option but its so much more accurate than any in-house crown I have ever seen. The temp stayed in place for the whole three weeks, never fell out. I came back in once my permanent crown had arrived and it was in, in an hour. And looks like an exact match to the rest of my teeth! A little word of advise. This is an Emergency dentist. So things are going to be quite expensive, mostly because of they type of procedure that you are most likely having done is “major medical” and would be expensive at any dentist. Just do the same thing I did, think to yourself how awesome it is that you had a DENTAL emergency that you didn’t have to suffer through the weekend with, or possibly longer waiting for an appointment. I 100% recommend this dentist for all immediate care. There will be a bit of sticker shock, however before any work is done, someone comes into your room and explains everything that’s you will be paying for before any work is done!

On Tuesday, August 30, 2016, I filled out the appointment request and stated I am in an incredible amount of pain and heard nothing from anyone. I tried calling the number that was on their website and spoke with a lady, she was nice, who told me they would be calling me back. 24 hours later and I am still waiting for a phone call. I'm glad I set an appointment with another dental office. My tooth is causing a lot of pain and I am living on Tylenol and Motrin but I guess I am waiting until Friday to be seen by anyone.

Was most unimpressed with this office. I had emergency dental work which they did get me in the same day.. However, they were ridiculously expensive (one extraction of a two nerve front tooth -$239, nitrous gas $90, but before any of that ,just to look in my mouth and agree with me that a tooth was infected , ...wait for it .'$142!!!) The Dr had no bedside manner. ,the second my tooth was out, she stood up, tooth still in her pliers, and said a few words and out the door she went! Horrible experience. I didn't even go back for my follow up!

They got me in soon after I got off a plane today; I fly out tomorrow and was in such severe pain...I would have paid a fortune (and kind of expected I might have to.) They got me in quickly, asked all the right questions, took a few xrays and identified the issue - a less than complete root canal with the nerve of the 'forgotten' root and an infection causing unbelievable pain (and, at this point, a swollen face!) They understood I had a dentist back home, didn't pressure me to take action on the tooth today, but rather prescribed me amoxicillin to knock out the infection while I wait to return home. The dentist - Dr. Geller - was truly amazing and all the staff was so nice. I mentioned I had been taking Ibuprofen like tic tacs and I was afraid to continue, so he provided a solid option there, too. Most amazing part - I paid for the visit, 3 xrays, an on point, clear diagnosis with no high pressure to do anything else at this point for right around $200....TOTAL! Extremely fair. And, my biggest concern was NOT the cost (which ended up being so fair), it was for the reviews that said the place was dirty. SO UNTRUE. It was completely clean; it is minimalist - no cushy waiting room, but a nice, clean and welcoming one. And to top everything off - I was out in less than 45 minuts, including filling out paperwork, etc. I cannot express how grateful this office exists; they were angels for me today and I would recommend them to anyone without any hesitation!! A++++

My fiance was having the worst time with a tooth pain that made his face hurt. It went on for a few days so I decided to get him in asap. They were able to get him in next day. Long story short, the pluses to the place: wonderful people who were super friendly and careing, quick to take care of the tooth problem, and the discounts! He didn't have insurance so it was costly but not anything unexpected. They gave him a discount for paying in cash, and they gave him two $100 gift cards, one of he was able to use for the bill right away. The Co-op was free too, which was super nice. I think the negative parts would be not taking Medicaid insurance, and they didn't want to do the co-op until the whole bill was paid. I was having trouble with my card though. They were kind enough to take my word that I would get back to them the next day after I ran to the bank. So bringing in cash led to the discount. :) I'd try to set up insurance or anything else before hand so there's no problem later. Just like with any place

AN ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE BEWARE!! READ THIS FIRST!! I've never written a review for anything before (restaurants, events, products, transactions, services, nothing) but I have to share: My girlfriend went in for an emergency root canal on a Sunday. After calling her insurance right in front of her, the receptionist told her she was covered and she would owe $1,154 for her root canal, post, core, and crown. She paid the $1,154 up front for what she was told would be the total cost, they gave her meds, and left. Went back for root canal, post, and core. All good. Less than 2 weeks later she goes back to have the crown put on, and is told she has an outstanding balance of $815 to pay before any further work is performed. And on top of that, her crown would cost even more on top of the initial $1154 + $815 + ? Furthermore, she is told NowCare is out of her insurance network (even though she was told right away she was covered.) I call her insurance, and make sure she is covered before we go out of town for a couple weeks, figuring they would be handling the claim in the meantime. We come back, I call NowCare and they had sent the $815 to collections claiming her insurance has been 'termed' (ended) in 2016; so they had no choice but to send her to collections. Her premium was directly withdrawn 2 days earlier. I call her insurance and they confirm she is covered and has been covered. I call NowCare and tell them I was just on the phone confirming her coverage, give them the extension and tell them to call. Begrudgingly, they call and surprise surprise report back to me that they will be submitting the claim to insurance and putting collections on hold. I then ask the same billing coordinator, 'Deanna' for more information about the statement, and it is the end of the world. She tells me she has no time, so I visit the clinic figuring it will be easier to just have her show me what all the costs are rather than over the phone. She continues to talk to me like I know nothing (even though I run my own business, and worked in the post op billing office of an Ophthalmology clinic previously.) I confronted her and told her that her demeanor is extremely rude and inappropriate when all I'm trying to do is make sense of everything. She thanked me for my business without apology. In the end, my girlfriend's credit was likely damaged as a result of NowCare's negligence, she didn't have all the agreed upon work performed, and she is out $815 more than she was originally told. Instead of absorbing the mistake they made for telling her a total cost for all services provided, they sent Deanna along to try and strong arm her for the money. Don't go here, read the other reviews, check Yelp, do your research, look into the other dentists around. I have lived in the area my whole life and will warn anyone I can about this place so help me.. If the owner reads this and wants to do the right thing and fix this I'm here, no breath held. Otherwise, I wish you the best knowing that flawed procedures, horrendous customer service, and overall bad business like this will not survive.

Not even going to lie. I am grateful that they were open, it was a Sunday afternoon and I broke a tooth. I fully expected that IF I found a dentist willing to see me, it was going to be a long shot AND it was going to be expensive. Nobody likes shelling out a bunch of money unexpectedly, but I fully expected it if I wanted an immediate solution to my problem. I chose to drive the 150 mile round trip and after a discussion with the person on the phone I knew going into it that my insurance was not accepted and an approximate cost to extract my tooth. Thank you for being upfront with me on the phone, discussing my options and addressing my concerns to the best of your ability. I only wish you offered sedation for tooth extractions other than NO2, not an experience I wish to repeat. Still satisfied regardless.

This place was the only one open the weekend that I broke my tooth, and honestly, that should be their slogan because there's nothing else positive to say about them. I came in with a broken tooth. The dental assistant who took me back tried to put her unwashed, unsanitized, ungloved hand in my mouth. She had been almost everything- the computer, my bag, my glasses, etc. I was absolutely disgusted. The dentist came in, and she was nice enough, if not preachy. She "fixed" my tooth, which is a word I use in a loose sense. The day after, I moved out of state and began to feel intense pain near the filling. I was unable to eat many solid foods, and could barely talk due to the pain. After arriving at my new place, I found a new dentist who ACTUALLY fixed the tooth, telling me that the previous dentist had done the filling too high, thus damaging my bite, resulting in injury on the gum, which promptly got infected. Zero stars if possible. This place is BAD. Edit to add: The facility was very dingy, and I didn't feel that it was entirely clean, or that the methods they were using were very clean either. In addition, having read some of the responses to these reviews, whoever owns this business needs to step away from the keyboard. Super unprofessional to be arguing with dissatisfied customers in the Google reviews.

I felt comfortable discussing my budget and what worked best for me. Elizabeth helped me with some laughing gas. She was very kind to me. Dr. Betz was more than great. Front desk lady was pretty unfriendly, when I spoke over the phone previously before going in, I was told something completely different than when I walked in. I had made an appointment to get checked ($250) just for them to tell me something I knew I already had. I went in around 6:00 pm because that’s the time I get off work, and the entire time I felt like a bother. We scheduled an appointment that I didn’t end up going just because the place gave off such negative feelings for some odd reason, ended up going to the u of m where they took much better care of me, and they didn’t seem to be in a rush to leave. Extremely expensive. Over 700.00. Even though pain on one side of mouth took and required to pay for full set of x rays. Called. Got in on saturday, same day. Had molar pulled. Dentist really struggled. One full week later and two visits to my dentist. Still painful. The tooth was very roughly dug out. Some bone exposed. My dentist said the person clearly struggled to remove the tooth. Mouth feels butchered. Never expetienced anything like it.

I went here a few months ago when I had an infected tooth that needed to be extracted. I was in and out (minus one tooth) within a couple of hours after calling. I've been here several times since for work I've needed done and can't justify a complaint. As someone who hadn't been to a dentist in over 10 years, that's saying something. The dental hygienist who worked on me here was the first one in my life who didn't make me feel like I was being lectured to by my mother (or worse yet, like total scum). I can't speak to the cost factor I see people complaining about on here since they take my insurance, but as to working with people like me who have seriously bad teeth (and bad experiences with previous dentists/orthodontists)... the 5 stars are earned.

Well as fate would have it on a Friday night 2 days before a very important meeting I broke a Crown! Calling my Denist and friend of 30+years he was unable to come in on a Saturday to help with my “not so little problem” If your like me, it’s hard to trust anyone with my teeth! He gave me a referral to Now Care Dental, he knows how picky I am plus how scared I am about seeing someone new to take care of my teeth. I was so impressed from the 1st person I talked with, said they could see me as soon as I could get there, I was already feeling a little better about seeing someone new so I went for it, knowing I needed it done by Monday morning? Everyone there was so nice and professional my blood pressure was already coming down” When I met the Dr. he was a super nice guy and listened very closely to what was important to me, so after hearing what outcome I was looking for(fix it) He gave me several options with the benefits and downsides. We agreed on a plan, he and his helpful side kick got to work and had me up and running in no time!!! I truly was impressed by the whole experience, plus very affordable for an emergency of this kind on a Saturday! I would recommend them to anyone looking for a dental care emergency or just plain looking for dental care without the emergency part!!! My first experience with this clinic has been good. When I had tooth pain all weekend and my dental clinic refused service because of new insurance, I was able to be seen for a Monday appt. No wait and everyone was friendly. The only downside was they did not accept my new insurance either so paid out of pocket. I thought it was a reasonable price for the services offered.

I broke a tooth over the weekend; when I called Now Care Dental, I was in a lot of pain and was assured they accept almost all insurance providors and that I could get in that afternoon. To my surprise they didn't even want to confirm my insurance type before I came in. When I arrived, the receptionist was cold, unhelpful, and was treating the couple in front of me whom struggled with English like second class people. After filling out paperwork, I sat down and waited 45 min. Approaching the receptionist I was told she hadn't been able to confirm my dental insurance. Strange that she kept me waiting without informing me of this. Pointing out on my card where it clearly states my provider and dental coverage, she then told me she'd have to call to confirm. Another hour passed before she informed me my providers office was closed so I was out of luck. They bill themselves as an easy solution to needing dental aid quick, but don't be fooled. The evening receptionist has ridiculously poor customer service skills, and is not only incompetent, but from interactions with her co-workers and other patients, lacks basic communication skills. Don't waste your time or money here.

Went there because I was having some aching in a tooth. Called and was told they took my insurance and that the doctor Geller was in-network. I got there and had to pay upfront out of my own pocket on a Sat to even get them to look at the tooth. Then the dentist told me I needed for sure a crown and possibly a root canal. I opted for the crown and again had to then pay out of pocket for them to even start the procedure. I paid $1,800 out of pocket and my insurance is only reimbursing me $313.83 because the dentist is out of network. WTF. What a joke...I would avoid this place if at all possible. There is no way I am going to see a refund of any of my money.

As someone who does NOT like going to the Dentist. This Sunday afternoon visit could not have been better. Dr Johnson was Absolutely wonderful. She knew I wasn't a fan and worked with me. It was quite a drive for me, 40 miles, but for a weekend need, this is the only.. Menacing the best...place to go. I might actually go to her no matter what.

This place was awesome THEY Were so quick to get my review done i applied for care credit with joint applicant got approved !! and they got my teeth moldings done same day, There providing cleanings next day, THE staff was really nice too everyone was really smiley so i felt comfortable, Nancy took the time to listen to my concerns and provided excellent solutions! I also signed up for NCD Smile program which gave me Excellent savings. i give them a 10/10 if you want to work with an awesome doctors and staff who care about there customers, NOW Care dental is who I would recommend its like a 2nd dental family over there! :) keep up the good work ladies will seeya again soon!!!

Would not help a child with a broken tooth. Just because she has state insurance. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Very messed up.

Crown fell off. Just needed it glued back on. Appt was at 3:40pm and I got there at 3:20pm. Took 45 min to figure out insurance due to system issues. When I called to make the appt was told they bill insurance. They do but bring credit card as they charge 50%up front and will credit you after insurance processed but do not tell you that on phone. Told me I needed xrays. Told them I didn't want xrays but they charged me $75.00 for them anyway just to see Dr. After telling 2 hygienists again I did not want the xray and I just wanted Dr to glue my crown back on. the dentist did not come back to treat me until 5:15pm. Dentist asked if I wanted xray! No xrays and finally cement bond to tooth was applied. Was told it would last 3 weeks. Crown fell off after 4 hrs!!! FYI... Assistant was in college and not a certified hygienist. Beware!

Been to alot of dentist over the years, most i cant bring myself to trust. Not the case for Now Care Dental. The entire staff is caring and friendly. They provide reliable and great quality work. Only dental office/practice ive ever openly recommended.

Went in on a Saturday with severe pain. DDS Johnson took great care of me. She made sure all my needs were met. Would recommend. Keep in mind if you make a last minute appointment on a weekend that they may be running late. I was just thankful that I could get in same day!!! Thank you!

Cannot say enough good things about Now Care Dental, the staff and particularly Daniel A. Allman, DDS. I chipped my front tooth on a Saturday evening and needed it fixed before Monday morning. I sent in a request very early on Sunday morning and by 8am I had a staff member call and set me an appt. that same day (On a Sunday!!!). I was very nervous and concerned because of the location of the chipped tooth. As soon as I walked into the office the check-in staff was very friendly and explained ALL of my options as far as insurance and what to expect from that point on. They also had options for Care Credit which was a hastle free way to pay for my emergency appt. (I already had a Care Credit account, if you don't have one I suggest signing up for one) When I got the chance to work with Dr. Allmann and his assistant (wish I could remember her name) they both made my experience beyond great. They took Xrays and explained all of my options, I approved the suggested route, and I knew exactly what it was going to cost me before we even started. I also want to add that considering it was an emergency/same day/Sunday appt. for a tooth repair, and no dental insurance, the price was less than I had anticipated. Throughout the whole process Dr. Allmann and his assistant made me laugh and feel comfortable, which at the time I never guessed I would be able to do. I left with a fixed front tooth that I am more than pleased with, and I am VERY particular about my teeth and smile. Would highly recommend for any emergency or routine dental care. Cannot thank everyone I worked with at Now Care Dental enough for making this an "easy" process in a very stressful time!!

I had a tooth that I knew needed to be pulled but with my schedule I could never get in to do it. Eventually, I developed an abcess, pain and a swollen face . I called them and made an appointment for the next day to have it pulled. I told them my insurance and exactly the policy that I had on the phone and they said they accept that insurance. I leave work early to go to the clinic. Filled out all the paper, answered all the questions and then a lady walks out to tell me that my insurance will pay very little and I have to pay everything up front. I had no choice but to walk out!! Lost a few hours of work and now I still have to look for an appointment with my dentist. Incompetent! Also it's really tacky. They give you a little gift bag. Why would a health care place give you a gift bag for being a customer? So strange!!

I cannot express how bad this was. Long story short, I was made to wait for hours before they let me in to see a doctor, the receptionist was very rude and there was no sense of urgency or haste even though I was stifling cries of pain and pacing up and down the waiting room. I called in saying it was an emergency and that I needed assistance urgently. Why didn't they even pretend to care? I should have left as soon as I walked in. I've never cared enough to write a review about anything before but this was just exceptionally bad.

I was brought a bill to extract 2 teeth within 15 minutes of sitting down. I guess if I was looking for someone to rush a surgical operation I could have gone for it. It bothered me that after a 2 minute discussion the doctor left the room and when i asked to speak to him again before I authorized the operation, he couldn't be bothered to come back and discuss it personally. Not to mention the complete lack of eye contact when talking with me. While the price was fairly steep, if I had a little assurance and dialogue with the person about to operate on me, I may have been more open to choosing them to do it. Instead I left, and I will save money by having the extractions done elsewhere, and most likely with greater faith in the person I am paying.
