Like most , going to the dentist is not something you look forward to . Dr. Sperling and his staff make it as pleasant as it can possibly be . Would not go anywhere else !

My daughter and I were seen there for a cleaning. My daughter is 3 years old and we had Lisa who was amazing with my daughter. My daughter kept saying no, she didnt want anything done but Lisa kept showing her tools, letting her try the tools, and was able to clean her teeth. We requested Lisa when we come back in October. Dr. Post was also wonderful with with both of us. She was great.

I went in to see what they could do to fix or even temporarily fix my FRONT tooth that fell out completely. I asked several times what some options are to replace a tooth, and they kept saying I have to pay for the visit and x Ray's and then the dentist can tell me.... They would not take my insurance, so I didn't want to commit to paying almost 200 dollars just for the Dr to tell me the options if there are no options that could be done that day. I asked again what they normally would do if someone comes in with a missing tooth...... And the hygenist says in a very rude way " maybe they'll do a filling , maybe a crown ... Like I said the Dr will tell you after you get an x-ray. I was very confused, because obviously a FILLING OR CROWN will not do me any good considering my entire tooth wAs missing... I told her that and asked how a filling would help (this tooth) and pointed again to the big whole in my mouth where the tooth was. She said well I thought you had pointed to the one next to it ,it's really not a big deal ... No it is a big deAl bevase the whole reason I was there was because they said they could for sure fix it the same day , when u had asked on the phone, and considering I had explained why I was there in detail to her. So I asked if she could go check with the dentist again to see if I actually do need to have an x ray done since she had told the dentist that u was here for a different tooth ... And she just said no the dentist wants to see what's going on up there ... I told her that I had x Ray's in my hand that she could have from a week ago, and that I didn't want to commit to 200$ for just the " exam" and x ray without even knowing if they'll be able to do anything. She said fine u want to talk to the dentist first then?? I said yes I would please. Dentist comes in, tells me to smile, says I don't needs an x ray , and that the only option is that I pay 3500 that day , or a clear tray for $400 plus the office visit charge, and left the room. The tray would only last a few days until MY dentist came back from vacation. I said I would pass and chose to not do either considering that was a ton of money for something to just last me a couple of days. The hygenist walked me out and told the desk that I owe for the exam, even tho I had chose not to have the exam before knowing what the options we're . Well I had to pay for a limited exam, which I didn't receive, and thank God I at least didn't have to pay for an unnecessary x ray too,but I can't believe they trick ppl into coming in and then refusing to even discuss any solutions or anything until you go to the room and pay 200 for just the exam and x ray. Then I had to leave there and to pay another place, however they are least did fix it for me temporarily, so I didn't have to walk around all 4th of July weekend missing my front tooth. I was so disgusted with how they treated me,both the hygenist and the dentist had the worse bed side manners and attitudes I have ever seen

I have been very pleased with Northwest Dental; Dr Hanson and staff; a very friendly group. Since going to Northwest Dental (4 years), I have some teeth that are questionable for crowns. Dr. Hanson said he would wait until those teeth started to bother me then he would replace with a crown. He is very conservative, extremely nice and I feel comfortable going to the dentist.

I feel like they were super friendly and nice. The only thing I was disappointed about was that my husband and I were both new patients and they didn't offer the new patient discount...we had to ask and my husband went the day before me and didn't ask and they didn't give it to him. They almost didn't give it to me either. So felt like they were trying to not give us a deal choosing to come there.

I came in here not going to a dentist for a very long time(10+ years). NDG was having a promotion for a cheap exam and xray at the time, so I decided it was finally time to go back to the dentist. The first exam was great and I got an estimate with my insurance coverage to see how much my out of pocket expense was going to be on the work that needed to be done. Dr. Shin was great, as well as, Lindsey and Kelly for my fillings and crown appointments. Dr. Shin and the ladies were always concerned with my comfort and they were easy to talk to. Not to mention, I was able to watch whatever I wanted on television so I didn't get bored at all like I used to when I was a kid at an office in my hometown elsewhere. By the time my fillings appointments were done it felt very pleasant to walk into that office and know I would come out with a better smile and no concerns! Thank you very much!

I liked the way they listed every single treatment and how much it costed before starting any treatment . I met Dr. Zhou, she's a sweet lady and spoke my language. Worst experience ever! I made my appointment for teeth cleaning at 14th St Clinic, but received nothing except worst experience and bill. After checked in, I have been ordered to complete 2 sets of x rays, fixed tooth examination and deep cleaning. I claimed I just want a regular teeth cleaning this time , however, my request was denied by the service lady. She said it is unethical to do regular clean unless I accept the fixed tooth examination and deep cleaning. The service lady kept asking my private information about my family members, ages and jobs and etc even when my mouth was full of liquid. I feel she was forcing me to buy their more expensive services, and my needs and rights as a patien has been totally disregarded. After one hour repeated examinations and talks, I received nothing that I requested. I was very disappointed and have to check out myself.

I went a long time without going to the dentist, when I finally made an appointment this place was recommended to me. When I went in, I wasn’t given any judgement. I was never made to feel bad about being neglectful. Everyone I encountered was very nice and the whole staff was extremely helpful. I was facing possible root canals and crowns but my dentists saved all of my teeth and saved me from extra procedures. I could tell they all were looking in my best interest and the future of my teeth, not just trying to make money with extra procedures. It was very easy to make appointments and they worked around my schedule to get the most out of my insurance since it was at the end of the year and it was about to run out. I recommend this place to everyone and I can’t find a single thing I didn’t like about all of my experiences (I had a lot that needed to be done so I had multiple appointments and dentists) I had at either location.

I recently had 2 crowns replaced. This involved whitening my teeth prior to the procedure. I highly recommend the Whitening for Life treatment! Totally worth the money! Dr. Post's team walked with me through the steps of getting my bleach trays made and appointments scheduled. Even though my temporary crowns chipped several times (my own fault), Dr. Post's team was always able to get me in within 24 hours (or the same day) to repair it. I had to bring my kids with me to an appointment and her team was able to keep them entertained while I was there. On a side note, my kids LOVE the warm cookies! Thanks NW Dental and Team Post for an awesome experience!

It had been 5 years since I had been to a dentist. I know, I know but insurance and finding time were always my excuses. This year I ran out of them and finally was looking for a dentist in the Rochester area after living in Minneapolis for a number of years. I was referred to Northwest Dental by a coworker and scheduled an appointment for a cleaning. The day of the appointment left me anxious and worried that I would be chewed out for the state of my oral hygiene. Upon checking in the receptionist warmly greeted me and gave me some new patient paperwork that was thoroughly explained. I was given a nice (and unexpected) welcome gift and after a short while was taken back to begin the cleaning. Lisa, the dental hygienist, gave me a quick tour and then got to work getting my teeth in shape. Being that I had gone so long without seeing a dental hygienist I needed a deeper clean than normal. My anxiety from earlier ebbed away as she explained why the deeper clean was needed and that getting on a flossing regimen in addition to regular cleanings would get me back on track to better oral health. Before beginning the cleaning she showed me a rundown of the charges for the next three appointments. This was a nice touch, as I knew exactly what I was getting into but only had to pay for the services performed that day. This practice deals with Mayo Employees and they knew that the services would be covered by the Mayo Reimbursement Account which I had enrolled in through work. Lisa took her time, I could tell she was determined to get every little bit of years worth of gunk off my teeth. After this was done the dentist came in and gave me a rundown of my oral health in addition to a few pointers on improving my brushing and flossing habits. I never felt ashamed, in fact I felt empowered to establish better habits to improve my teeth and gum health. I required a few follow up appointments to perform the deeper clean on the other half of my mouth and then one more cleaning (the normal cleaning) after that. Lisa happily scheduled those appointments and then gave me the receipt for the day’s charges. Paying was a breeze and they gave me a detailed printout to bring back to work to submit for the reimbursement claim. I am extremely happy with my experience at Northwest Dental. I look forward to using them for my future appointments and would highly recommend them for anyone looking for a welcoming, knowledgeable and pleasant oral health experience.

Coming into a dentist creates all sorts of anxiety and fear for pain. However, Northwest Dental Group has proven otherwise. I was in pain prior to coming here and didn’t know what my options were. The friendly staf greeted me and answered all of my questions in a prompt and friendly manner. The facility has a warm welcoming feel to it! Once I met the hygienist I felt more comfortable. She did the xrays and found out what we were working with. She explained to me my options and how each one would be if it me, my mouth and my wallet. The dentist came in and review the options and we chose the best that fit me! They are so gentle and work around your comfort. I’m very pleased with the work that has been done. They also provided me with follow up calls to ensure everything was still going good, I’ve never in my many years had a dentist that cared so much. Lastly, I’ve also never had a dentist be able to see me within minutes of calling. I recommended them to quite a few people and I recommend them to you as well!

I had not been to the dentist for over 2 years because I typically had very healthy teeth and took good care of them. My spouse and girls are the regular visitors and have always had a good experience here. The last few months, I couldn't shake off a smell from my mouth and had to brush and floss more than I wanted to. My gums bled more and I figured it was time for professional help. NW dental group gave me an appointment the very same day I called. They were very professional and the wait time was about 2 minutes after I signed in an filled out the paperwork. I was given a tour of the facility and my fears were reassured. My dental hygienist listened to me, explained things in a way I could understand and was very respectful. After 2 visits, all my plaques are gone, my teeth are shiny, and there is no smell anymore! I'll keep up the good work and will definitely keep my follow up appointments with my family. I haven’t been to the Dentist in 25 years due to lack of insurance and how pricey it was without it. I had a very horrible experience as a child during my LAST visit (when I was 7/8 yrs old). I remember I was given laughing gas to help with my anxiety but, it didn’t work. I was strapped down from the chest down and was held down by multiple staff. At this point I am kicking and screaming. After this horrendous experience I was traumatized from that point on. Now that I’m older and work in the medical field and finally got insurance; I decided it was time that I need to go in. Days before my appointment, I have been very nervous and scared because all I can remember was what had happened the last time I sat in that chair. Well, after I got my first xrays, exams and cleaning done... it wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be. The staff there was very friendly, pleasant, knowledgeable and made sure I was in good hands. I was embarrassed and most of all scared but, my hygienist understood and made me feel relax. I also just had my first filling since a child. Surprisingly it went very smoothly and it wasn’t as terrifying like I thought it was. Overall, my experience here was more than satisfactory. I am no longer afraid of the Dentist and I’m ready to get my smile back. Thank you Northwest Dental Group Staff for a pleasant experience.

I haven’t like going to the dentist since I was a kid. It was just always painful and the office smelled like something was being ground down to nothing , like someones teeth. Northwest Dental has changed that. The staff is friendly which relieves the pressure of going. They do a great job and are honest about their prices. Previously did call them and ask for the pricing Got the answer from one of their workers is going to be range from $160 to $480 depending wich toot and how bad is. After extracting toot they did charge $825...non surgical extraction Way to high price, never go there again and will let know everyone to be aware of this dental group.

Northwest Dental is amazing! All of their staff are always genuinely nice and helpful. I'm not a fan of the dentist but they make you comfortable and don't give you the regular guilt trip about not coming to the dentist. I had a cavity filled and I was in and out and in no pain! They also are good about telling you pricing and offering estimates especially if you have no insurance or a reimbursement account. I would recommend them to anyone!

Why would you advertise and GUARANTEE same day appointments when clearly you can’t follow that! I called early am at 7:25am because I was In so much pain the following nite due to a hole In my teeth that is causing nerve damage so a co-worker told me about NWD and how they guarantee same day appointments. Upon me trying to get in right away in the am the lady on the phone informed me they are full for the day but they had an appointment available tomorrow but doesn’t fit with my work schedule. I am a single mother of 3 and work multiple jobs so me trying to get time off is always a struggle which is why I try and complete my tasks during the day while the kids are at school. Quite a painful disappointment when you advertise same day appointments! Luckily I was able to get in elsewhere and my pain has subsided.
