Today I was introduced to a recently graduated (U of M) hygienist new to the staff. She treated me professionally and gently. There was no pain and I never experience a "gag reflex" while she worked. Dr. Mike's team is great! All the dental hygienists have been friendly and efficient. Shannon was knowledgeable and observant, telling me what she was looking at and giving me a hand mirror to see. The team is focused on preventative care--I finally was convinced to switch to an electric toothbrush! There's no hidden sales game: they just want you to be making good home care choices. Becky is helpful in scheduling (and rescheduling and rescheduling if you're me). One morning I called too early before open and Dr. Mike himself answered. Highly recommend!

I just got back from the dentist, and I'm so happy I finally found a dentist that I really love. I'm very picky about dentists, and this one did everything right. The hygienist was so good at what she did, nothing hurt, she took her time, explained things, told me areas to work on - she was just so good (Miranda). And an assistant helped her as well (Liz) who was so incredibly nice. And the final exam by Dr. Doroschak was quick but thorough, and you could tell he really loves what he does. Just overall, a great experience, and am claiming this place and "my" dental place from here on out!

TO ANYONE LOOKING FOR A GREAT DENTIST: I would like to tell everyone about the wonderful experience I had as a recent patient of Doroschak Dental office. I'm 72 years old and I can truthfully say I have never been to a better dentist in my whole life. Dr. Doroschak and his whole staff are #1 as far as I am concerned. He pays particular attention to the quality of his dental work, in addition to the comfort of his patients. I had a lot of work done on my teeth recently and not once did I feel any pain. It was the FIRST time in my life that I went to a dentist and felt totally relaxed and at ease. I never even felt the Novocaine injections being given. After 50 years of searching for a dentist I finally found one! My sister told me about Dr. Mike - claiming Doroschak Dental was "da bomb"...they are! Since I was a young boy the dentist was pure fear for me until last month. From the moment I walked in to the office Kathy and Becky made me feel welcomed and relaxed. Katrina and Dr. Mike didn't waste any time getting to know me either, and before I knew it I was with Megan getting my teeth cleaned. I explained how terrible I was about getting my teeth scraped and hammered with the chisel-like tools most hygienists use. Megan's primary concern was my comfort, which I thought was pretty cool. That vicious gouging inside my mouth didn't happen with Megan. After years of anxiety and avoidance of having my teeth cleaned, this was by far the best experience I have ever had. In fact, I think the fear is gone! Dr. Mike and Katrina also fixed a tooth I had cracked years ago. Their gifts of gab captured my attention and I hardly noticed the work they were doing on my tooth. What a great group of people. You can tell they all get along, they truly like working with each other and they enjoy their patients. My next appointment is in 6 months and the best compliment I can give them is letting them know...I will be there!!!

I've been a patient at Doroshak Dental since I was a little kid. I've since moved out of state, searched for a good dentist, been disappointed, and (for other reasons) moved back home. When my out-of-state dentists spent half-a-year trying to figure out why my tooth hurt, I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Doroshak on a visit home; he tapped around and found a hairline fracture (or whatever its called in teeth) in just minutes. I told my out-of-state dentist where it was and he still needed to break out a camera in order to find it! For over 30 years, Doroshak dental has been staffed by nothing but lovely, extremely competent, and friendly people. I am glad to have Dr. Doroshak as my dentist again. :)

I called the morning of my appointment needing a new dentist for a consistent problem I had for weeks, they got me in within 2 hours. Maya, who helped me out was so pleasant and able to work with me. Once I got there, everyone was so friendly. The tech was so nice and interested in my life and Dr. Mike took his time with me and listened to my concerns. Best dental experience I've had. Definitely will be making this my new dentist!

I have been Dr Mike's patient for over 5 years. IN that time, I have seen over a half dozen hygienists, high turnover in both these jobs and at the front desk. Today I reached my end. I had specifically asked not to see one of the hygienists: she is clumsy and simply does not have the manual coordination or dexterity to clean teeth adequately. When I showed up for my appointment, she was the hygienist I was scheduled with and the only one in the office today. I like Dr Mike a great deal, but he's less than 5% of the time I spend on a typical visit. So, after these 5+ years I am moving on.

As a 6yo, I have to tell you - I LOVE the people at Doroschak Dental! I'm always a little nervous; but nothing ever hurts and they teach me how to take care of my teeth and answer all of my questions. Dr. Doroshak seems to be financially paranoid. In all fairness I want to give credit where credit is due. The people are nice, the services are quick and they seem to do a good job. There's where they earn two stars. However there are two problem areas I have with this dental office. First of all as this should be your Doctor of Oral health you would think that there would be more counseling and education given to you as a patient to avoid major problems. The only thing the dentist seemed to offer were drills, fills and root canals. Surely there must be natural restoration strategies? Certain nutritional and diet changes have been proven to restore teeth. Of course I'm not an expert but that's exactly my point. Dr. Doroshak is a dentist who should be a resource yet no education on this subject seems to be offered. When I asked him about it he seemed to question the entire premise and then nothing was mentioned ever again. The other issue I have is he seems to have a paranoia that people aren't going to pay him. I was a patient for years, always with insurance, always paying until one bill that was about $150. Admittedly I neglected this responsibility and it went unpaid for awhile. However when I returned I paid it immediately. I also paid for the service that day upfront and told them my new insurance would be starting soon and scheduled an appointment for after that date. However they told me even though I would have insurance, very good coverage in fact, I would need to pay for my next services upfront and then seek reimbursement from my insurance company. Essentially pushing their office work onto me the customer. Keep in mind I wasn't a brand new customer, I had been with them for years. Neglecting a relatively small bill of $150 (not $3000 or something) should not change the way you treat your customer. Especially after they've paid in full. You don't pass on your office's work of collecting insurance money because you think the person is no longer trustworthy. It shows a complete lack of understanding for those who hit financial hard times and makes the person feel driven out. I asked the office assistant to find out how long I would need to pay for my services this way, six months? twelve months? She said she needed to speak with the doctor and get back to me. This tells me Dr. Doroshak made that decision. The assistant never got back to me so I cancelled my upcoming appointment and decided to go with another office. Final thoughts: Of course I was in the wrong paying that bill as late as I did. However you shouldn't create an unnecessary burden on your customer and make them feel like they can't be trusted. Especially since I paid it in full and had no other balances owed. Once I'm paid up I should be treated like everyone else. The office assistant actually told me I should use my health savings account to pay for future services. So I would need to use that card, pay for services up front, wait for reimbursement from the insurance company and then refill my HSA? Really? Conclusion: I'm now in a great financial position, I have lots of dental work that I need to do this year and it looks like I'll be doing that somewhere else.

For close to 10 years now, I've been a patient of both Dr. John (now retired) and now Dr. Mike and I wouldn't go anywhere else for dental services. Elaine and Kathy at the front desk are always very friendly, upbeat and personable. They will call me if there has been a cancellation to see if I want to move up an appointment that has already been scheduled and on some occasions that has been real handy for me. Taking care of billing, payments and scheduling with them is a snap as well. Miranda takes care of my cleaning appointments and is very much a professional in her manner, work and friendly attitude. For any dental work beyond a routine cleaning, Dr. Mike and his assistant, Liz, do a fantastic job working together as a team. Humorous and jovial to keep the mood light, but appropriately serious when it comes time to perform. I'm currently undergoing a crown installation procedure and my time spent in the chair went by quickly as their work together has a rhythm to it, is relaxing and also pain free. I'll be back in 2 weeks time for a previously scheduled cleaning and the completion of my crown installation. Any questions I have about my oral health are answered simply and directly and any options for procedures are explained in the same clear manner. I'm very happy to be a patient of Doroschak Dental!

I walked in for an emergency extraction as a new client and within an hour I was done. Final price was lower than what was quoted. Staff was friendly and helpful. Dr. Mike was professional, yet entertaining. Was continuously concerned with my comfort level, which was reassuring. I can't remember the last time that I enjoyed going to the dentist, especially in an emergency situation. My only regret is that they don't fix water heaters, as my home needs a new one.

must move on...had been my dentist for years...aside from them double billing my credit card wich I forgave and aside from my always paying in cash they would not accommodate me when a tooth went abcess and had to be removed emmediately....when I called in I told them up front of my dilemma and that I couldn't pay until the following week, even though they could have seen me that day they told me they would have to get at least half the bill payed that day, ...so would a reasonable person want to keep a dentist that would not treat them under this circumstance and facts?, well, not this guy.....so I will be paying off my $40.00 balance and moving on....aside from this egregious shortcoming on their part I was satisfied with everything else on my visits but cant ignore the fact that they failed/refused to treat me when a tooth went bad simply because I couldn't pay that day....the charge would have been between $185.00 and $340.00 and for that they lost this patient....must and will move on..
