We've found New England Smile's patient treatment to be exemplary. Kristin Gibbons, CDA has managed to make my very anxious son feel safe at the orthodontist. Her gentle, reassuring manner is a tremendous comfort to him. She has checked in on him multiple times after visits and even met us when the office was closed to supply us with a special syringe to clean his palate expander and to offer words of encouragement. Dr. Phan also has a comforting and reassuring manner. My son is completely at ease in his care. He explained my son's treatment plan in a way that was clear and easy to understand. He engages my son during every visit and shows genuine concern. I trust his plan for my son and his orthodontic skill. Recently, Dr. Phan met us at the office at 9:00pm to fix my son's palate expander when it became loose. I am deeply grateful. Dr. Phan and Kristin Gibbons make us feel like my son is their only patient. I highly recommend this practice.

Loved this dentist and finally thought I found one I could count on. I am a single mother of a 10 year old and this year was beyond tough for us. Between illnesses and injuries, I had appointments missed. This is my fault I understand 100% but sometimes life happens. I called to schedule his filling appointment and was informed over the phone that due to the appointments missed and or canceled with less than 24 hour notice they were letting him go from the practice. He is 10 he is a child and has no control over getting there or not. With this said I work for a doctors office and I could never imagine them discharging a patient due to no shows never mind a child who has no control over getting there. I lost all respect for this practice when they showed it was clear the money meant more than my sons dental health. And they have no understanding for someone who has had a tough year. I never received one letter letting me know this would happen. I was put on a list I was told he could not be seen unless I called day of and asked if there was any cancellations. I couldn't do this I work full time and again take care of my child alone. I take full responsibility for missing these appointments but the excuse that this policy is in place for openings is hard to believe for a dentist that booked no later than a week out. Every office leaves slots available for emergency cases. Its to bad that my unfortunately difficult year rendered a 10 year old being told he can't come back. We tried a new dentist he cried and made me leave. I am now trying another. This "policy" is wrong.

We travel an hour from Cape Cod to have our son treated by Dr Brian because he is amazing with children! Our child had a traumatic experience with a previous dentist and we went to 4 pediatric dentists after, but no one could treat him. We were told our son was so scared he would have to be put under at the hospital just for cleanings. Then we found Dr Brian who was so fun and kind. He has two small children of his own and knows how to put children at ease. He has superhero chuck tailors, lets them choose a movie to watch, gives them a choice of flavored kid nose cover for nitrous, and makes funny noises and jiggles so they don’t feel/notice the novicaine injection. Parents are allowed to sit next to the child the whole time. After the treatment, he makes a balloon animal and they get a gold coin for the prize machine. We’ve had cavities filled as well as extractions and our son still looks forward to his visits. Finding Dr. Brian has truly been a gift for our family. We highly recommend him!

Excellent practice! The office staff is extremely nice, cooperative and professional. Dr. Phan is always on time and very knowledgeable. When we moved here from RI, Dr. Phan was able to take over the care for my sons braces and did a phenomenal job. His teeth look excellent and my son smiles all the time now! I am very satisfied with them and am looking forward to having them treat my other son this June! They also see Dr. Brian for their yearly and regular dentistry and he is Fantastic as well! I love Dr. Brian! With my son having Autism, certain sensations make him uncomfortable so going to the dentist always makes him cringe. He would rather go to school all day than to even walk into the dentists office. However, Dr. Brian is fantastic with him. He takes his time and when my son told him he was very nervous, Dr. Brian sat and had a conversation with him. He explained everything that he was going to do - both before starting and then again while doing it. He's had multiple teeth pulled as well as numerous cleanings and he always comes out smiling. My daughter says going to the dentist is "so easy". The technicians and receptionists are incredibly friendly too! We've been going there for years and we've never had a bad experience!

Dr. Brian erased the fear my son had and replaced it with a Disney movie, balloon animal, piggy nose and a prize on the way out. I had to call on Easter morning because my sons face was very swollen and Dr. Brian called me immediately and took care of us. Most recently Dr. Phan put braces on my oldest son and the office staff has been so supportive in filling out the proper paper work for insurance purposes. I can't say enough about New England Smile and I refer everyone to them. I am so lucky to have them for my kids. Every employee is wonderful!

March 18, 2016 I wanted to thank Dr. Phan for caring about our daughter Emily. She plays college softball and recently sustained injuries to her gums and teeth that needed quick attention. She was hit with a softball as they were preparing to go to Florida for Spring Training. In a panic, I called Dr. Phan on a Saturday night to explain her injuries. What struck me was that Dr. Phan offered to drive back to Plymouth Saturday evening to look at Emily even though he was on the other side of Boston at that point. I felt we could wait til Monday and he squeezed us in. I felt very reassured and on Monday he suggested the best plan for Emily. She had worn braces in high school and had been very dedicated to wearing her night guard to keep her smile. I was worried about permanent damage. Because of his suggestions and commitment, Emily was ready and confident to make the trip to Florida and had a very good week. She was not worried. In addition to his daily suggestions, we had a sports guard ready to go for the games. When we came back from our trip, there was a message on our machine checking in on Emily from Dr. Phan. That to me was above and beyond and very touching to us. Dr. Phan is very thorough and knowledgeable, but also very caring. I will recommend him for anyone in need of orthodontics care for these reasons. He didn't have to go above and beyond but he did. We took our son to New England smile and drove from Barnstable and will do it again.We saw another dentist 2 years ago (for his first appointment ever)and it was a rather traumatic experience (thank God he has no memory of it)so I found myself putting off his next appointment! I then read in a local facebook group all the great feedback about Dr.Brian and his staff and didn’t think twice but called and made an appointment! What a fantastic experience! The hygienist was just excellent! She told our son what is she going to do,asked him to touch the polishing brush and just made him feel relaxed!We couldn’t believe that he was just laying there without us having to hold him down! After that Dr Brian checked his teeth and hooray he had no cavities! His attitude was nothing but the best as well! Our son was given a prize and stickers in the end!Thank you so much wonderful people! Our son is now asking when is his next appointment! That’s true magic! ❤️
