This review is for Harvard Dental Center's Teaching Practice.
This practice has good dentists and hygienists. However, the office itself is run terribly. This is surprising given that the practice is run by the Harvard Dental Schoo!.
Here are some of the problems here:
1. I had a dental emergency (broken tooth) over the weekend and called up the Harvard Dental Center's emergency paging line. No one called me back. When I called back the office on Monday, they said the dentists don't work on weekends and no help is available on weekends anyway.
2. It's generally hard to schedule appointments. Frequently you have to be on hold for a long time to get to a live person, and then your call goes to voice mail, and voice mails never get returned. Today my call to them went to voice mail 5 times before I eventually got to the live person. This practice does not offer online appointment scheduling either.
3. Scheduling hours are very inconvenient. Although the practice advertises that they are open on some week nights, really only some narrow specialties offer later weeknight hours. General dentists only work till 4.30. It would be great if general dentists and hygienists also could offer later hours and possibly weekend appointments (especially for emergencies) at this practice.
Very frustrating experience with this practice. It's a shame since the dentists and the hygienists themselves are good.
