Ortho department is horrid and neglectful. My son's braces were not adjusted or maintained in 10 months for various reasons to include staff pregnacy and staff injury. I want to leave this office but no other dentist office will touch another orthodontist's work. Childrens Family and Dentistry have canceled every appointments for reasons beyond my control so i cant even have them removed. I have called my insurance to see if there is anything else I can do but I keep hitting a dead end. The only other thing I can think of is getting DCF involved for my sons neglect of his health related needs. I have never been treated this way anywhere in any industry.

Originally, I called to request a rescheduling for my appointment, but Yahaira offered me to go at that very exact moment, which was wonderful, but at the same time a little stressful, since I live in Westfield, and is almost a 40 minute drive, but I accepted anyways to come today. The receptionist was very courteous, and I was greeted with a VERY big smile, which doesn't hurt anyone. I swear, I only waited for 6 or 7 minutes, when Patricia, the wonderful Patricia, called me in. She listened to everything I said to her, did A WONDERFUL JOB with my teeth, which didn't need a lot of attention (it really pays off to have good hygiene habits), and in the process, earned a loyal patient. And this loyal patient will spread the word of how awesome every technician is. You need to understand this: I am a proud father of 4 boys, 3 of them with their own special needs, and to drive all the way from Westfield to here, is a lot to consider. My first time visiting the office and I have to say it was my best time ever at the dentist. It was very busy and I thought it was going to be forever before I got seen. But to my surprise it wasn't. It seemed very organized and like everyone knew exactly where they belonged. I asked why it was so busy and found out that they actually do braces there too!!!! How awesome, both my kids need braces. I think we found our new dental home.

I am new to the area and brought my children here a few weeks ago. Everyone at the front desk was very welcoming. The children loved the woman that cleaned their teeth. She was funny and kept them very comfortable during the appointment. There was very little waiting from the time we got there, to the time the nurse was done and when the Dr. came in. Well I just have to say that this has been by far the best experience and the best dental work performed on my mouth sense I can remember! Back in July 2016 Patricia work on my mouth and I had the yearly clean up done, let me tell you til this day I just can't stop smiling and showing off my teeth! This Dentistry and I have to say Patricia has really changed my life and my views on going to the dentist! I can't stop telling my friends and family member's what GREAT GREAT EXPERIENCE IT WAS FOR ME! And as we all know we hate going to the dentist and we keep putting it off well I'm one of the worst ones. very disappointing in today's visit the young chick who took care of me in the front, i think her name is laysha was very rude and not very understanding as i told her i wasn't able to confirm due to the amount of hours i work that i wasn't able to call back and confirm and all she said was mam you didn't confirm so we cancelled your appointment she didn't even try to accommodate me, or ask the doctor and she quickly asked if i wanted my records because i told her im never coming back i was so upset and walked away and she yelled across the room saying if i dint come back and filled out a form i wont get my records i couldn't believe how unprofessional this girl was plus there was people around listening to her say that i was so embarrassed never will i ever go back to that office

The staff at this office is phenomenal, I am greeted right away and my treatment is pain free and completed in a timely manner, however the office itself seems very outdated. The waiting room and hallways are beautiful but the treatment rooms are very ugly and outdated. I came here for treatment last week and I felt like i was in a run down office. Its very clean and sterile, however the appearance is not pleasant. The cabinets are missing drawers, the counter tops are peeling off. I feel bad that the employees have to work like that. With the prices they charge you would think they would give a little updating.

Went yesterday. It was my daughter first visit(23 months). It was very busy over there and felt like everybody in a rush, no activities for kids in a waiting room. We did not wait a long time though which is good, but then we were waiting our doctor 15 more mins inside and again they have nothing for kids it was one dirty book. When doctor came she did not tried to make any contact with my daughter she was looking tired (I understand that, but it was my daughter first visit), I was asking about fluoride drops and doctor answered like she does not care, she said :"you can give her supplement or not", really??? That s it? Thank you very much for "helping" to make my choice....when she started cleaning my daughter was crying like crazy and all she said :"you almost done". At the end of the visit she said you need to make a next appointment...we did but we will cancel it, awful experience... I m sure there are good professionals but for me personally very important how doctors treat my baby...

The way i feel when i enter this office is like no other. Walking from my car and looking at the building i am overwhelmed with emotions. The pure joy, excitement, love and acceptance I feel from the building alone is enough for me to want to spend every day here. When i walk in the door I am hit with the sweet smell of customer service, and beautiful receptionists. As I walk towards the desk i can see children playing, parents laughing, while i am greeted with a huge smile full of love. I am checked in promptly and seated in the most comfortable dental chairs ever. The assistants are what make this place. I feel like I am family when i am here. I feel loved. I feel like I have a home. The pure joy and rush of energy I receive while the dentist is working in my mouth is enough to bring me to tears. I wish I could spend every day here. I purposely don't brush my teeth anymore so that I have to come back as much as possible. I love you Children and Family Dental.

Very disappointed with my recent visit!. I received 2 calls prior to my daughter's 6 month cleaning, one asking me to come in earlier in the day which I could not do due to the child being in school ( that's the reason I make the appointment for 4on so I don't have to rush or pull her early from school) the other as a reminder. We show up for our 4pm appointment as scheduled and was refuse service for an 8yr. I was told that I the parent had an outstanding bill from December 2015 and the accounts are link which was never link. Before because the child has mass health plus a private carrier and the issue was never brought up. Upon asking the person talking to me she had little knowledge of how to proceed I asked her so who do I talk to she said billing is close so if course no cleaning was done plus she barely stayed to explain to someone else what was the issue as she had to leave as it was now 4pm . I was so shocked that a child was turned away who up until 6 months ago had her own account and 2 insurance. But I made sure to share it with other families and friends of mine so they don't waste their time and get caught off guard. Shame on you children and family dentistry. This matter could have been address if on those 2 calls or prior I was inform of my balance not the child that was punished who has nothing to do with my account! Hopefully others will be aware.

I took my Daughter to Children and Family Dentistry this past week and it was a great experience. My Daughter was having pain in her mouth and we needed to get her seen. There was no problem making a same day appointment and we were in to see a doctor in no time. I was nervous because at first my daughter was not doing well with the xrays so i was afraid we wouldn't be able to get anything done. Luckily we were able to get the XRAYS thanks to a wonderful woman named Iris. She was so patient and friendly with my daughter and she rocked those xrays. My daughter left with a bigger and more beautiful smile than ever before. Thank you Iris and thank you Children and Family Dentistry.

First off the majority of these reviews are 100% fake. This dentist office should be 0 stars. I try to never be unfair or harsh in reviewing a local business but after our experience today there is nothing good to say. My wife was called to the back where the technician pulled up someone else's xray's! Hippa violation #1. She then asked my wife(who is the patient) what she was looking at?. My wife replied an "xray." " But that's not my xray!"(we provided the actual xray). The tech scrambled and asked her what insurance carrier she had the tech then replied "oh we need to get more xrays." Big red flag. They go and do the xray. When they come back the tech goes and finds the most unprofessional dentist there probably is in Western Mass. He rolled his eyes constantly. Had his hands in his pockets and kept rocking his pelvic area forward. He then glanced at that xray and basically provided no type of advice or consultation. He spoke to her about her medical condition with the door of the office open with other patients and staff walking by. Hippa violation #2. The reason my wife was there was because she had a tooth extracted a few years back and has been having jaw pain. She went to a different dentist first who confirmed that a piece of metal from the extraction tool was left in her gum. He advised that we get a second opinion. We were here for that. He told my wife he would remove it if she was losing sleep at night! A dentist actually said that. He was told her that she may have a secondary infection caused by the foreign body. He blabbered on rolling his eyes with his cell phone going off. I asked him about the secondary infection. He says "there is no secondary infection!" WHAT? Bro you said there WAS a secondary infection! That's why I asked. We are filing a complaint with the Bureau of Health Professions and the Board of Registration in Dentistry. I hope if any of my friends or family or others that might be considering this place see my review. Stay far far away. They could care less about their patients. They are only trying to rack up the insurance bills.

I was recently seen at this office. It had been over a year since I went to the dentist and I was pretty nervous about going, afraid I'd have a bunch of cavitys. I finally went, and very glad I did! The office was great and the people there were very nice and helpful with my paperwork and insurance. I was actually fine during the appointment. They took some x-rays, I got a cleaning and then the Dr did my final check up. I'm happy I'm back on track and my next appointment is scheduled!
