I came to Honduras to have two crowns done because I wasn't sure of what they were doing at Shelton Family and I felt that I was paying too much. Turned out that Dr. Shelton had done a crown on a tooth that didn't need it and I didn't need two crowns but only one. Be careful when going to this place. I will call my insurance to change clinic.

Growing up just a mile from here, Shelton Family Dental on the corner of 33rd and The Alameda has been a part of my landscape for 30+ years but I’d never had a reason to go as we had a family dentist. But alas, he retired, and I knew just the place to try. And I am SO glad that I did!! Parking was easy peasy and EVERYONE was kind and friendly, probably the friendliest front desk staff I’ve experienced. The cleaning and exam were great and I’ve set my appointment for my next visit. If you’re looking for a new dentist give this family owned company a try (40+ years operated by the father and now his daughter is a dentist there too!). You’ll be glad that you did!!

Unprofessional dont waste your time! I selected the doctor as my provider , verified this and made an appt. When I arrived I was not on a provider list they receive once a month and they were too lazy to call the provider to verify. I took off work to be turned away. Extremely unprofessional.

Fyi online appt .Beware. it would be in your best interest to Follow up with a phone call to confirm. My Online appt confirm 4/17/19 for 9am4/18. No phone call prior to my arrival at 845am 4/18 Not informed I would be waiting 3hrs Did not see dentist until 11am. No xrays prior. Waited another 30minutes after xray Should I have been able to chew on the affected side I would have left

Well the front counter help is on the sub-par side with professionalism...with misquoting policy concerning rescheduling appointments..I was mislead...I was told that I had a gum infection and was put on antibiotics for an infection I didn't have and was also told I needed a root canal which would have cost about 2500.00 in total ... When I only needed a filling which was only 267.00 which is a major difference and I still have my same tooth that they wanted to destroy......I would never recommend anyone to go there..As a client for well over 35 yrs...I was am glad I got a second opinion by two board certified dentist with more advance technology in there office... TO MAKE IT SHORT GET A SECOND OPINION BEFORE GETTING ANYTHING MAJOR WORK DONE THEY ARE PRETTY GOOD AT CLEANING AND DOING FILLINGS.... THEY ARE IN THE BUSINESS OF GIVING YOU ROOT CANALS THAT YOU DON'T NEED... AND OVER CHARGING...HJG

Went to the office back in December 2017 for the 1st time. Was in there for close to 2 hours(waiting time and xrays) didnt even wait to get teeth cleaned- I then get a bill for services that should have been paid by the insurance- Even had the insurance company call them to make corrections- to date the bill hasn't been corrected. How can you charge me for services when it is covered under the insurance? I will only pay what is not covered by the insurance... NOTHING MORE!!!!
