I received a postcard in the mail, I was due for my annual cleaning so called and made an appointment. it was so easy to schedule an appointment. When I got to the office the entire staff from the front desk lady to the Dr. were very friendly. It's a beautiful office!. The Doctor took her time answering my questions, She was very efficient, I was in and out in 45 minutes. I have found my dental office, scheduled my husband and made my six month schedule already. Pearl Smiles corrected a dental mistake cause by another dentist at a different facility. I wasn’t able to close my mouth completely due to a bad cavity repair which made my jaw line uneven. My dentist at Pearl Smiles corrected everything which brought me great comfort. I wish I had gone to them sooner rather than trying to be loyal to a dentist who wasn’t listening to me when I consistently told them what was wrong for almost a year. They listen to the patients here. The cleaning is also superb. I love my hygienist. She is down to earth. Much love to Pearl Smiles. They got me smiling again. Xoxo

My husband and I, as well as my friend, all went here looking for a new dental practice. Right off the bat, we were given xrays, and before the dentist even looked in our mouths, gave us the diagnosises of many, many cavities, as well as several root canals. My husband skeptically asked the dentist to show him on HIS xray what were cavities vs. fillings and the dentist couldn't so she pulled up another patients file and displayed their xrays!!! As we left, we were given almost $2,000 estimates each between my husband and I, and my friend was quoted even more. She has already gone for a second opinion and was told that there is absolutely no evidence that she needs root canals done, that she had less cavities than diagnosed at Pearl Smiles, and her total bill was $54. Yes, you read that correctly, fifty four dollars instead of the thousands quoted before. The office looks nice and the hygenist was polite, but there is absolutely no way I'd recommend this practice unless you enjoy the drill and have money to waste.

We are very pleased with Dr. Goitom and the staff at Pearlsmile. Over the years, we have used at least a dozen different dentists, due to moves and other reasons. I have to say Dr. G is the best. Her work is top notch. Always explain everything clearly. The office is high-tech, up-to-date and super clean. Gives you reasonable options whenever possible. Everyone from the receptionist, the hygienist to the Doctor was great! They were very professional and courteous. I went in for a cleaning, so this was my first visit since leaving my former dentist last fall. The Hygienist was very gentle. The office was clean and high tech. Dr. Goitom took her time doing an exam and going over my x-rays that were on the TV monitors that they have in the rooms, showed me actual photos of my mouth and some of the concerns that she had, I felt very comfortable and at ease with Dr. Goitom. I was pleasantly surprise by how friendly and thorough Dr. Goitom was. The assistant and the front desk staff were all very pleasant and helpful as well. Once all the exams were completed, they gave me an estimate for the treatments I needed and reiterated that they would run it thorough my insurance prior to providing a final bill. I scheduled my appointment to start my treatment, all went very well and this morning I received a follow up call to see how I was doing after my treatments, which was greatly appreciated!! I highly recommend Pearl Smiles Dental and Dr. Goitom!

I came to Pearl Smiles as a new patient and was happy to find I could make apoappointments easily online and even fill out my new patient paperwork ahead of time. I was seen quickly when I got to the office and each step from xrays, patient history, exam and cleaning went smoothly and quickly. They prepared me for my follow up appointments and let me know what to expect with a patient care plan. The plan also showed me price breakdown of everything insurance took care of and what I'd owe. Overall a great ecperexper, and even though my follow up won't be pleasant pain wise, I'm thankful the staff is kind and friendly, and I'm confident every thing will go smoothly.

Service was exceptional from the Doctor to all the staff. I went their with my 2 little toddlers and they were able to accommodate them in the treatment room with me while cleaning my teeth. I had read some of the negative reviews here where peoope complained about the "chair being short and hard" and the "dental hygienist being rough". I will be honest to say that my experience in this 2 areas were positive. I am about 6ft 3inches and had no issues with the chair, it was the same standard chair that I have always seen in all dental offices that I went to in the past. Also, I am very sensitive in my teeth when it comes to cleaning, so all I did was communicate this to them and they repected my wish. This was was my first visit to this dentist and I had a positive experience, if anything changes, I will update my review.

The chairs are crazy uncomfortable. They were designed for a much shorter person. I’m only 5’11’’ not exactly a giant and I’m 35 years old with no history of back pain, but the chair was too painful to be in, I’d have been more comfortable on a flat metal table that crammed into a chair that pressed into the space between my shoulder blades and left my lower back completely unsupported.

First I thought I was going in for just a cleaning. I forgot 6 months ago that I decided to replace 3 fillings along with doing my 6 month cleaning. It would have been nice with all the text message reminders if they said it was for a cleaning and replacing fillings. Once I arrived which was on time they brought me back but than I sat there for 25 minutes before the dentist came to do my cleaning and filling. It would have been nice if the someone would have given me a heads up that it was going to be a longer wait than being told " she is just finishing up with a patient". That could be 5 minute or in my case 25 minutes. I can say I have been going here for a couple of years and this is the first time I ran into an issue. It is having me second guessing about going back.

I felt safe the entire time and knew I was being taken care of. The women at the desk, the hygienists and doctors were all very professional and made me feel comfortable the entire time. I was looking for a new dentist and decided to follow the reviews I found online. When I went to the office, I had to wait for the receptionist to check me in. She was quite polite and I was sent back to get x-rays. The hygienist was very nice and thorough and I knew her from a previous office that I used to go to (insurance change caused me to leave). When the dentist came in, I can't even remember her name now that's how short of time she spent in there, she immediately said I needed a root canal. I was a bit alarmed by the diagnosis and that I was told I would need so many fillings. When I got the estimate with my insurance, I was quoted nearly $2300. I was very much alarmed then and told I needed to put a down payment--which makes sense since it was a costly procedure. I went for a second opinion elsewhere and was told that there was no need for the root canal nor the amount of work this office was quoted. I was very surprised this was the result of my visit after reading the reviews--I very much felt they were trying to make money rather than performing services that are truly necessary. Hopefully this is not the case for everyone, but I will not return nor would I suggest them to anyone. Office staff was polite, dentist was barely memorable.

This is my second visit with the practice. I had a pleasant experience during my initial appointment. Not so much today. The dental hygienist was extremely rough. First with the metal probe. Then with flossing. While flossing my teeth, she repeatedly pushed through the space with excessive force, jamming the floss into my gums. I couldn’t continue and asked her to stop. Why does the staff insist on calling patients by their first name? The staff is so young. It comes across as disrespectful.

Had a tooth pulled and was in so much pain for days then found out I had dry socket and they still refused from day one to give me any type of pain medication. Kept telling me to take Motrin over-the-counter every 4 to 6 hours. I did that for three days and it didn’t make the pain go away the pain got worse. I was crying 24/7 in pain and I went back to them asking for help and they still wouldn’t give me any relief. I went to another dentist that same day they did an exam on me and gave me the pain medicine that I desperately needed. I will never go to this office again and I will Never recommend anybody to go there. I’ve already had my children stop going there and now I’ve got some neighborhood neighbors who won’t go there anymore. The word is getting around they do not care about their patients

On a previous visit there I had a broken tooth that required a root canal. After the procedure and the capping was completed i still experience pain 3 months later. I went back in recently to address this and to get a cleaning and they wanted to blame it on the sensitivity of the other filling. I know my mouth and what I feel this is not the case. Then for a follow up visit they demand 50% of cost up front to schedule and appointment. I have heard of a fee if you cancel last minute but I have never heard of such an outrageous amount up front to set up an appointment.

My daughter was going to another dentist and her last visit was a week ago. He told her that she has a lot of problems about her teeth. She was was very nervous and anxious. She begged me to get her another dentist and get a second opinion. Therefore, I started looking for a new dentist. I am new to the area. I saw the sign on my way to work. I read the reviews about the facility. I called and asked the staff about their experiance with kids. As a physician myself, I liked and felt comfortable with the good info about the place. I made an appointment. Once we get there, the place was clean and well decorated and bright waxing place. The receptionist greeted us smiling and called my daughter with her name. The assistance to Dr Goytom, came and greeted he professionally and directed her to the exam room. She turned the TV on and made her feel comfortable. I was already happy to see a beautiful smile on my daughter’s face. Dr. Goytome came to the room and properly introduced hersel to us. She complemented my daughter with her hair and smile. She performed a thorough excellent physical exam. She took her time and explained the x-Ray findings. She explained to my daughter in a very simple and non scary way about her condition. She explained what to do next and gave us a referral paper. On the way opt, the office manager gave me a detailed financial description about my daughter’s coverage, expected co-pay and potential out of pocket expenses for the same visit as well as for the planned future visits as well. The utilize the latest technology. Overall, I was impressed how the whole stuff were very attentive to the patients comort and need. They were very detail oriented in the cleanliness it the rooms and financial and legal documentation procedures. My daughter has already decided to stick with them and has made her mind to make her next appointment soon. My own next dental care will be there to I whole heartedly recommend it to everybody!

This dental office is great! The office is clean and modern. The staff was extremely pleasant and the dentist and hygienist were gentle. I felt at ease. The appointment started right on time and the work I had done didn't take long at all. This is our new family dentist, oh and did I mention that I got a filling and it is flawless. If you are looking for a dentist in the Elkridge/Howard County area, this one is a must try. I left my last dentist because he didn't do the work himself but let his assistants and the appointments took hours. He was not flexible and his last appointment was at 3PM with no evenings or Saturdays. Dr. Goitom has appointments in the evening as well as on Saturday which fits my busy schedule.
