I don't know how a dentist office can be much better than this. Dentists 10/10, Staff 10/10, Free Video Games 11/10, billing 10/10 . We had like 6 major things done and the deductible was only $280. No fuzzy non covered charges or the like.

Wonderful doctor, hygienists and assistants! My kid had a bad experience with his first dentist being pushy and forcing X-rays and such. Dr Heather made our first visit just an exam and gently eased into the x-rays the second visit. We have not had any issues since.

We have had a great experience with Light Pediatric Dentistry. My son had such anxiety about going to the dentist that he would just cry and cry to the point other dentist didn’t do a thorough job of checking my son’s teeth, which lead to a multitude of problems. Once we went to Light Pediatric Dentistry they were able to help him feel comfortable and my son is more cooperative and we were able to fix old issues. I’m so thankful this is our dentist!

Wonderful practice. We live in Silver Spring and have made the the trek to Dr. Light for 10 years because she is so skilled. She is our dentist and orthodontist - so nice to have both in one office! Highly recommend!

We felt we were gouged by this practice. We took our kids there because they took Metlife Dental insurance. They abruptly stopped accepting metlife and did not send us any notification. The next time we went they they performed a cleaning service for my daughter (Dr. Sholander) , but did not tell us they didn't take our insurance any more. Then they forced my wife to shell out $ 412 for a routine cleaning service on a 6 year old child as they did not accept our insurance carrier any more and they had performed a service (which we believed all the time was covered for free by our insurance) Judge for yourself!!!

They need to do a better job responding to emails and handling billing issues. I’ve been coming here for 8 years because my kids like the place. They no longer accept my insurance which is fine but I paid in full and then my insurance sends them the reimbursement for my out of network benefits. When I contacted them asking for the reimbursement their first offer was to apply it to the next visit. They should have immediately sent me the reimbursement when they got the check knowing I’d already paid in full. So, I call today and while the gentleman on the phone was very helpful, it appears they ignored my multiple emails inquiring about my refund and hopefully I’ll get my payment in a month.....3 months after the initial visit....

My call for appointment was hanged up by the receptionist after a few words of conversation. Second call was put on hold for 3 minutes and hanged up. The third call, nobody answered any more.

I’ve always really like this office, my daughter has been going here since she’s two years old. I’m taking 2 stars off because recently they stopped taking Delta dental insurance and did not properly notify. I was surprised to find this out at the appointment (although they sent a letter which I never received). I ended up having to lay out $200, most of which will be reimbursed. I just think it’s proper that all patients receive sufficient notification, before changing a policy. Email, or phone call would have been better.

My children go to Light Pediatric and they are a wonderful team. My kids feel very comfortable with the friendly and competent staff, which is the most important part. They always try to stay on time, which is more than I can say about our other doctors. Everyone is very happy, especially us.

While we like this dental practice for our difficult 4 year old, we just found out at our 6 month appointment that they no longer take our insurance. We had to pay $206 out of pocket and hope that Cigna will reimburse us. Unfortunately we are going to have to fine a new dentist for our son. If pay upfront out of pocket is not an issue for you, then I recommend this practice.

From the kids' perspective (3 boys, many years with Dr Light and team): the dentist is fun - the waiting room is fun, the rooms and "prizes" are great - everyone is so nice! They definitely look forward to going to the dentist (!!) really. From the parents' perspective: Everyone who works there - technicians, Dr Light, office staff, everyone - is really nice to kids and parents and is very professional. The website is easy, parking is easy. We heart Dr Light.

Five stars - everyone in the office is friendly and helpful, and the set up is perfect for putting kids at ease. The staff is incredibly patient with nervous little ones (and their parents!), and we've recommended the practice to a number of friends because our experience has been so great. We genuinely enjoy going to visit the dentist!
