La Plata Dental is a top-tier customer experience. They consistently deliver 5-star service starting the moment you walk in the door. Rhonda and Helen clearly explained billing and insurance copay'fees. Elaina, the dental hygienist was excellent, she explained what she was doing throughout the cleaning process, and made suggestions for maintaining "best practice" dental hygiene. Dr Betaharon patiently and clearly answered all of questions to my satisfaction. Its evident, this dental service has high standards and they value the patient and consistently strive to deliver excellent care and service.

Had my initial visit to this office today. The moment you walk in you receive a warm welcome by a cheerful and professional team working the front desk. Minutes later I was introduced to the hygienist, who was equally outstanding. She definitely puts you at ease. Then Dr Hochman came in and he's hands down the best Dr. you could possibly ask for. Nothing but good things to say about La Plata Dental. From the receptionists, to the hygenists ( Terra is amazing) to Dr. Betaharon ( very gentle and kind) everyone is so incredibly nice. I've had a fear of the dentist since I was a child and going in was a huge source of anxiety for me. They completely put me at ease and made me feel comfortable. They answered all of my questions ( and I had a lot) and never made me feel like a bother. I very highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for a great dental office.

My 7 year old daughter had her first appointment with Dr. Hochman's office yesterday and from the moment we walked into the office the staff made her feel relaxed and comfortable. Every single one of them is great at their job. They were by far the best dentist office I've ever seen, enough that I don't dread making an appt to go there again. To add to everything, my most recent follow-up appointment was the day before my birthday. While waiting for my walkout papers, they presented me with a cupcake and sang Happy Birthday. I thought for sure my wife had put them up to it, but nope, that was purely the office manager's doing.

I recently moved to Maryland, and my daughter Joyce strongly recommended her dentist, Mark Hochman, DDS (Doctor of Dental Surgery). My first visit was on March 20, 2013. I was greeted by the receptionist (Rhonda) who I had made the appointment with. She was very pleasant and helpful, and since I had arrived early for my first visit explained that there would be a short wait. She then offered me a cup of coffee and pointed out that a copy of that day's Washington Post and Maryland Independent newspapers were on the table. (The waiting room and the exam rooms are bright and cheerful. When I commented on how nice and new the office looked I was surprised to learn that they had moved into the office three years ago.) I was impressed by how quickly and carefully the dental hygienist Dianna performed her duties, informed me what she would be doing, what I might feel, and how long some of the procedures would take. Dr. Hochman warmly greeted me, and I was very impressed with how thoroughly he examined me, and documented his findings. I'd highly recommend Dr. Hochman and his friendly and helpful staff to anyone in search of knowledgeable, honest, personable and professional dental care.

They were accommodating and professional and did everything they could with my tooth - which resulted in an extraction. No pain and very comfortable. Growing up, I did not go to the dentist regularly; and when I did go, I had very BAD experiences. As a result, I am TERRIFIED of the dentist! I put off getting alot of dental work done because of my fears but Dr. Betaharon and the staff at La Plata Dental are the best! I had 3 extractions today (in addition to a crown and bridge 3 weeks ago) and I must say that this was the best visit EVER! I finally found a dentist I can trust!
