This “dentist” has changed throughout time. She was nice in the beginning but then her attitude started to change to worse. On one of my visits I witnessed her being rude to her staff that she literally made her cry. And I saw how money hungry she is with the time she took to educate a family that spoke English and the time she didn’t with my mom to explain to her and the next family how fast she rushed us to get us out. She got an attitude with the next lady that came in with her daughter. I heard them argue. This never happened before. But now she became very rude. And not to mention there’s always a new staff with every visit. That should tell you guys something bad is going on in this practice. I don’t recommend this dentist. We will not be returning.

Staff is always kind and caring for the children. after a bad experience with my daughter at a previews dentist, I had to look for treatment for my daughter somewhere else. Since day one, it has been a great experience coming to this place. Always encouraging our children to take care of their teeth. I LOVE IT here! My daughter is always happy to come here. Dr. Hill is awesome! My children use to go to Dr. Camps, until I got tired of not being able to make appointments in a 2-3 weeks range. their available appointments were in March 2016! So I called Dr. Hill and they gave us same day appointments. I also want to mention that her staff are friendly. And Dr. Hill is very patient and friendly with children too. One of my child have behavior disorder, and Dr. Hill treated him with extra patience and at the same time, ensured him that he will do well and she gained his trust. Thank you Dr. Hill and the staff for the wonderful experience, and we will continue to come.

Ive been going to this dentist for a while now , and the owner there is very mean and disrespectful. I havent have the time to change it but I always have respect towards her but this time she crossed the line over something so dumb . She acts as if shes a child and she is very immature . She got angry because I as a customer made a suggestion . Every time i go there a new policy is added and i told her they should notify the people they have to pay before they get there, i said that to one of her employees . After that she called me to the office, she called me into the office in such a rude manner as if i was a dog. After i walked in to her office she told me that i always got something say about anything they do and i told her of course i have the right to ask and she said ok then take your kid somewhere else yelling and screaming GET OUT OF MY OFFICE!!!to me and my kids. I feel so mad and sad how can there be people so UNPROFFESIONAL!!! I will never recommend this dentist to NOBODY!!!

The dentist was very rude and demeaning in her attitude towards me. She poorly explained a procedure she wanted to perform on my 1 year old child and the refused to even perform said procedure when I asked some questions to clarify. She wanted to pull a tooth out of her mouth with only a little lidocaine gel at the site and no other pain medicine while I was to hold my child down. I questioned if it was going to be adequate pain relief for my child and she became very defensive stating, " She can't feel much as she is a baby". The dentist then stormed off in the middle of the conversation. She was very unprofessional and uncaring towards my child. Needless to say we left and will NOT be returning.

Hill Kids Dental is an amazing practice!! All four of my kids absolutely love Dr Hill and all of her staff. Even my 8 year old who used to hate going to the dentist feels completely at ease there--the fun décor and sunglass they get to wear to keep the light out of their eyes also helps. I Just recently had the pleasure of taking my kids to Hill Pediatric Dentistry. The staff is very courteous and the Doctor is amazing. She has a great attitude and is amazing with the kids, especially my kids being that they are very fickle when it comes to any doctor visit. Dr. Hill is definitely a top dentist, which I might add she has received that award twice from the Washingtonian magazine. My kid’s visit went on without a hitch. The atmosphere was great, the doctor was knowledgeable, and they really break down the treatment plan and what will take place during your child’s visit and any visit thereafter. I might add that they are extending their hours to 8:30 to 5:30 Monday through Friday, which is great as my wife and I both work and try to schedule any activities, especially doctor’s appointments, within a reasonable time frame. I recommend Hill Pediatric Dentistry to all friends and family because I don’t know of to many top rated dentist that except both PPO and State insurance and gives quality care, and has a very responsive and knowledgeable team of people that work there right alongside them.

Dr. Avionne Hill is unprofessional. Her staff will spend countless hours making calls to you regarding your insurance coverage, even after you have provided all possible information. Her staff will continue to call ad nauseam up until 1 hour before your appointment, different staff - same questions. Avionne does not know how to relate to parents. She becomes visibly upset if you have an opinion contrary to hers. For example, she recommends milkshakes as a reward for children visiting the dentist. A McDonald's milkshake has 111 grams of sugar and 770 calories. Avioone says she knows what is best for children because she sees a lot of children. She could not believe that a parent did not want to reward their child with a sugary treat. She had no low-sugar options. Her recommends will likely have children returning to the dentist more frequent than every six months. thanks, Concerned Parent

I took both of my children there and I will not be coming back! don't let looks fool you the office LOOKS lovely but the experience is terrible! front staff is unexperienced! We are so glad we left Hill Pediatric Dentistry. Her staff are very rude. I am considering filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Since we left Dr. Hill we have found a much better dentist. The new dentist is so much better than Dr. Hill's practice. It was then we realized just how bad Dr. Hill's practice really was. It's nice to be treated well when you first walk in the door and my son now receives much better care than he did before. The new dentist runs a very respectable professional practice and they do a much better job cleaning my son's teeth. The receptionists are so nice and pleasant when we check in. The difference is truly night and day comparing the two practices. Do your homework and check Dr. Hill's reviews. There are much better options out there and we are so happy we are no longer with Hill Pediatric Dentistry.

If i could give 10 stars I would... Let me first start off by saying the office is bright, cheerful, very inviting to kids AND there is plenty of parking. My son is 4 years old and has been traumatized by having had several visits to see the ENT and allergist (both of which are no fun and very invasive for kids). My son enjoyed the toys and books in the waiting area so much that it was very hard to pull him away to go to the back for the real reason we were there. We did not have to wait long at all (perhaps next visit, I'll arrive very early so he can have his play time). The front office staff were very nice and professional. I received a reminder call and text message prior to our visit. I had a lot of questions and wanted to reassure/warn them that my son may not be the most cooperative but they in turn reassured me that he would be fine and uncooperative kids is nothing out of the ordinary in pediatric dentistry. We went to the back and at first my son was a bit apprehensive about sitting in the big chair but like magic, the knowledgeable staff and hygienist took over with singing songs and toys and all was well in his world. He opened his mouth for his exam and cleaning without struggle, tears, or anything. I was so grateful for these wonderful people that made my son feel good about going to the dentist. Dr. Hill examined him after this cleaning and applied a fluoride treatment on his teeth. She explained every step of what she was doing and why it was being done. She gave tips for brushing and flossing his teeth and what to expect for his next visit. My son took an immediate liking to Dr. Hill, he gave her hugs and high 5's and even climbed in the big chair all by himself. He even tried to keep his blue shiny sticker that Dr Hill gave him for several days after his visit. I am delighted to have found this wonderful practice and wish I could come here and get my teeth cleaned. Thank You Hill Pediatric Dentistry !!!

Do not send your babies here. I had an issue last year with one of the techs being rude to my sister and lied on my son. Not inly did tgat gappen, Dr. Hill called me and lied herself and said my son was being uncooperative. I decided to give the practice another chance bcuz they r very close to my home. I called to reschedule, instead of rescheduling me the office manager insinuated I recieved reminders. The attitude is too much here. As a parent I don't need the disrespect. The service is ok but the customer service is a joke. Don't do it.

“Hill Pediatric Dentistry” Avion Hill elicits positive reviews in hopes of swaying people from her truth. The 1 star reviews will give you the transparent view of Avion Hill “Dentist” and her revolving door of employees. It’s a visible fact, Avion Hill does not keep staff. I have witnessed the condescending tones in which she speaks to her staff. In both direct and indirect ways Hill and her staff are; rude, incompetent, and unprofessional. We have had to wait long periods for no obvious reason. Avion Hill charges for procedures and things such as fluoride that is covered by insurance. She and her staff try to hustle you into purchasing items from her practice that are sold on Amazon for half the price. The final was in the last appt this past Monday. Staff called Friday before to confirm and that was it. Monday I called to check if there was an earlier appt available as my son’s appt was 2pm. I was told, by staff I had an outstanding bill in excess of $200+. To date I haven’t received a bill from Hill Pediatric Dentistry to advise of such. Staff said she didn’t know why. Told her that I will not be bringing my son until I receive an explanation. I later received a voice message from Avion Hill stating, “I had a chance to review your call, that you called in and spoke with the front desk regarding some balances due and amount due for cancellation today”...I was appalled to hear that she is recording calls unbeknownst to the caller, and to hear she has taken it upon herself to assess a cancellation fee for the appt. I called back and she was unavailable. I received a call from staff stating that she was available to talk. I was placed on hold and waited 5 minutes. I hung up, called back, expressed concerns regarding waiting for Hill. Eventually spoke to Hill. Hill informed, bill was from service provided Nov 2017. I expressed to Hill, that in between jobs I acquired temp insurance that her office accepted. I shared when I called re:11/2017 appt. I provided insurance information to the staff. When I brought my son in for the 11/2017 appt. I was informed by the staff, my previous insurance was still active. I explained as of 5/31/17 the benefits were canceled. I told her staff to bill the current insurance with the information I provided. Hill allowed her staff to bill the insurance I told them not to bill. The inactive insurance paid her and took the money back. Now wants me to pay. Hill NEVER contacted to inform me of anything. My son was seen by her in May 2018 with the 2018 insurance and nothing was said then either. Now, 1 year later she is telling me I owe her for 11/2017 service, which is now outside the window which an appeal can be made. Her poor business management is to blame for this. I asked Hill why she didn’t send a bill. Hill said, “I don’t know, all I know is that I have a small business and I have to get paid”. No valid reason. Hill has no process or policy for billing. While she’s swindling money from the insurance and even more money from patients, she has no systems in place to accurately conduct her business. Hill assumes no responsibility, then waxes and wanes about her “small business”. I WILL NOT do any business with Hill or her practice. Hill had her staff call back & ask for my email add. I have in the past, and my email has not changed. I undoubtedly told her staff to mail any correspondence. Hill mailed a bogus 12/4/18 letter stating “that I refuse to pay for services and follow office policies regarding providing an email address for their convenience”. Had Hill used the means of communication provided to upon initial visits and subsequent visits, the billing would not be an issue. The Better Business Bureau, as well as any other outlet I deem helpful in exposing “Dr. Avion Hill” will be sought. I hope that this review has enlightened you. Thanks.

My daughter has been coming here for about 1 year, since then it seems that this office has been going down hill with there service. Recently i have notice that there schedule changes from only have Monday,Tuesday, and Wednesday appointment to Having Thursday and Friday. Which is kinda of annoying because i keep getting calls asking if i want to change my daughters appointment to any of the new days and hours they offer.I also feel uncomfortable with the office going from a all female staff to having a male staff member in the office. unfortunately I Don't think I will be recommending this office to my family and friend anymore.

I brought my 4 yr old in for a cavity filling, she was nervous, I was too. The procedure, however was quick and completely painless for my daughter. Dr Hill talked to her, coached her and made her feel at ease. There's even incentive for good behavior by a nice (really nice, actually) prize when the kids are done. The office is cool, the staff are nice and professional. I would highly recommend Dr Hill to anyone with kids. I wish she saw adults too!

One star is actually more than I wanted to score this facility. I've been coming to this for more than 10 years. Dr Hill is rude PERIODT! There's new staff every time I go , it's pretty obvious she can't keep her staff. No matter how educated, rich , or talented you are how you treat people ultimately tells all. Integrity is everything. Humble yourself!

Dr Hill and her staff have always been warm and welcoming . My son's surgery went extremely well and he is still talking about the prizes he got. I personally am happy that I have found a dentist for my children that provides excellent dental care . As a young child I personally feared dental visits but Dr Hill and her staff are allowing my children and other children to have positive lifelong experiences at the dentist . Very bad experience at this office. The Dentist is very good but almost her whole staff is useless. Especially the new staff, they are rude and uncaring of the patients. I have had my sons’ in this office for over 6 years until now. Several times I arrive in time and they make my children wait because the Dentist is backed up and they have two energetic boys waiting for at least more than 45 minutes to an hour. The staff is so bad that just to prove a point they moved the seats out of the back because they didn’t want 2 parents in the back to deal with 2 children on their dental appointment. The female in the back had a bad attitude the whole time and she didn’t even let my son sit in the chair to get checked. She made my son stand around until the Dentist had to ask more than once why my son was not seated yet in the chair. The Dentist is going to lose a lot of patients if she doesn’t get a better staff that are personable and care about the patients.

My children were patients for 10 yrs and I just parted ways with this unprofessional and uncompassionate dentistry practice. After yrs of supporting this minority owned business, Dr Hill treated my family like we had not supported the practice for a decade. The staff has overturned over the years and what is left is an unprofessional group. I had to cancel an appointment b/c I was switching insurance and was charged a $50 cancellation fee (per child =$150). I requested a waiver, attempted to negotiate a lesser charge and was simply served with a dismissal of services letter. The emails sent by her staff were not only dismissive in tone, but were laden with grammatical errors and sentence fragments. The basis for dismissal was b/c we "didn't follow through with dentist recommendations" (namely fluoride that wasn't covered by my insurance every 6 months) and a "history of cancellations" (I requested and never got any official record of said cancellations). After 10 yrs of on time payments and support, and Dr Hill dismissed my family on unfounded charges. I will admit the office is attractive, but this place lacks substance. The staff which once knew my children by name, now has no idea who they are. What once was a positive family visit is now filled with strangers. We are glad our time with this practice is over, now I will save travel time, and money, while supporting a dentistry that provides quality care with a family environment that suits us.

Everyone is every friendly and inviting from the moment we walked in,throughout the appointment and as we were exiting the practice, there's not long waiting appointments were in and out there are always on time . Dr.Hill and Hygienists gives her patients the best advice and care,there. Assistants very kindly always willing to provide and explained the importance in regards keeping teeth health while hygienist does there cleaning. Front staff are polite and prepared to scheduled the appointment as soon as the appointment is done to avoid long waiting . Dr. acknowledges every child and makes kids feel so comfortable. Dentist clearly has a passion at her work she's been on the Washingtonian Top Dentist 2017 . Hands down for Dr.Hill and Staff :-)

I am extremely displeased with the level of service my family received from the dental hygienist today. She (can’t recall her name) did a terrible job with her explanation of the importance of good dental hygiene to my children. She did a lousy job of cleaning and flossing my children’s teeth, the service all seemed rushed. She also made it a point to impress upon me to purchase a battery operated toothbrushes on three occasions. I thought I was at a car dealership for brief moment, the amount of times she kept bringing up the battery toothbrushes. With that being said, Dr. Hill is very passionate and professional. Her level of care is fantastic, hopefully Dr. Hill’s level of service will rub off on her staff.
