The worse experience ever. I have a toothache. I called yesterday to set an appointment the person at the front desk stated that there were no Saturday appointments available. So she told me that they had walk in appointments all week. I came in today. They were so dum founded saying I don't know who that could have been. And we only do pediatric dentistry on Wednesday. I took off of work for this message and caught a bus. So not professional. Even the supervisor acted like she did not care. I so wrote a survey with my number on it. Let's see if I get a call!!!

Every time I bring my children to this Dental Care office located in Suitland Maryland, something is not right... or there is a misunderstanding or miscommunication between front desk, dentist, or Dental staff, equipment or appointment set up... my child has metal retainers that have cut through her gums and have broke causing us to come in for emergency visits, to have them removed... To get to the dental office for them to say there is not a doctor who can perform the procedure or they do not have the equipment to perform this procedure... or they do not accept your insurance for that emergency procedure it's always something or they see where your not eligible to be seen. This office when it first open was better but over the years the head Dental surgeon and other certified dentist have relocated, and start working out other dental offices or work at this office part-time maybe once a week.. this dentist office is a NO!!! for me. I'm now searching for a new dental office because this office has no communication, lack of knowledge of what it takes to do procedures and does a bad job of informing patients of what is needed and necessary for procedures and eligiblity status Before Date and Time of appointment!! They will let you come all the way in to yhe office ti tell you you can not be seen to day for whatever the reason! And theres never a lead Manager in the office you can talk too when you have a major concern. THESE PLACE IS A WASTE OF GAS AND TIME..OFF TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM I GO WITH MY CHILD WITH SERIOUS MOUTH PAIN..FROM A RETAINER ESSENCE PLACED BUT CANT REMOVE, BECUASE THEY DONT HAVE THE TOOLS OR DENTIST TO DO SO! AFTER THEY SET THIS APPOINTMENT WAY AHEAD OF TIME...

First I like to say I was recommended to this dental office by my mother. I was pleased that there was a dentist office near my home. Don't get me wrong the people here are wonderful. My first visit I was a walk in I waited about a hr before I got an extra done . I was pleased. I then scheduled an apt for about 3 weeks later and it was set for 9:00am. I come in I wait about 5mins before I was seen. Things were going well but then they have only one dentist on site today and SEVERAL patients. The doctor on site isn't familiar with a lot of things on site so it's slowing down her process. I've been here for two hrs and I'm no where near done my root canal. I won't rant to much. I just wish they're way of doing things where a little more effective. Asking someone are they ok after sitting for a long periods of time is nice but umm NO. A 90min root canal turned into a all day thing is ridiculous. I'm looking to get my crown done elsewhere. Just don’t go I don’t recommend

The place is always disorganized. They never know what's right and what's wrong. They always getting people's precription mixed up happened to me two times..it happened today and I tried to get them to correct it but they didn't want to own up to it .Then when they finally did the wanted me to inconvenience myself and go all the way back to the office on silver hill rd just to get another precription, when they could have just emailed or faxed it to the pharmacy where I was..save your self a headache and go to another Dental organization.

Essence Dental offered me such an amazing dental experience. I truly feel as though this office was God sent. After, visiting multiple doctors in the past two (2) weeks, Essence Dental provided me with all the information that I was searching for. It is nothing like having tears flow down your face because someone understands all the health issues and pain you are currently dealing with. I called this dental office on a Tuesday morning at 9:15 a.m. for an appointment and was being seen by a dentist at 10:30 a.m. the very same day (won't God do it) Essence Dental gives you wonderful service in a caring and supportive atmosphere. Horrible, horrible, HORRIBLE! Unprofessional, passive, rude, careless, and inconsiderate. I had an appointment with them so I went there, they called my name, I went to the exam room and sat there for two hours and was never serviced! Whoever was supposed to service me skipped right over me and allegedly went to lunch and no one notified me about it! The front desk on back to the rear of this location has no concept of how to run a dental practice, not to mention a business, PERIOD! Appalling is an understatement! Please close this office immediately! Don't waist your money people!

First and foremost I had an appointment today at 3pm. This appointment has been scheduled for 6 months for a routine checkup!!!!!!!!! I also received an text instructing me to reply C to confirm which I did. I arrived today at 2:50pm to be informed that the office closes at 3pm on Friday’s now! UNACCEPTABLE! I left my job early today and for what????!!!! I’m beyond angry! I’ve been coming to this location for close to a decade (check my name Lorrain Allen) but Essence Dental just lost a customer because I WILL NEVER STEP FOOT INSIDE THIS BUSINESS AGAIN EVER!!!!! I will be finding another dentist! I suggest you find a way to contact all customers to inform them several weeks ahead of time regarding the time change. If took me an hour to drive from Glen Burnie, MD to this location! The employees didn’t care at all! I wanted to speak to a manager right away but I was given a business card to contact the manager. I know that will lead anywhere! Do better abs stop wasting customers time! THATS NOT RIGHT!

Do not even bother with this establishment! My sister highly recommended this place. I called to set up an appt and someone answered as if I called their personal line. Then they placed me on hold without me being able to say anything! I then called back, only to be placed on hold again to speak with a supervisor who did absolutely nothing about this situation!

Piss poor. The management just hides whenever you have an issue. How many times do I have to call about the same issue and I get the "My manager will call you back by the end of the day" comment? How many visits does it take for a root canal? 5 or 6? My guess is as good as my dentist's. I was subjected to careless behavior. They lost my paper work for my crown. The crown didn't fit. When they finally got the crown it broke prior to ever being close to my mouth (because it was cheap - not what I paid for). By the time I got to visit 5 I stormed out and never came back. I found a new dentist in Fairfax, VA (yeah all the way out there) and they took care of my root canal in 2 visits. The manager will not call me back because that's what cowards do. Outside of the regular shouting matches in the lobby area and the unprofessional management I'll never ever come back here again. Stay away. My next review will be with the Better Business Bureau. I tried to give you guys are horrible and remain horrible.

I''e only been here twice once for my dentist Dr. Park and the other for a few fillings by Dr. Saeed (the female dentist). Dr. Park is way better, the female had several people in and out the room while trying to perform my dental work. Very unorganized, had me waiting for almost an hour before starting anything . My family of five are all patients and we love this office. We get the best service every time we go and customer service is above and beyond. The office manager is extremely helpful and attentive to all matters from billing to professionalism of the staff. The orthodontist is amazing and the payment schedule is affordable for most. I have only had one issue since being there and it was quickly resolved. We will continue to come because customer service is everything. And I hate going to the dentist but my cleanings are painless and even fillings aren’t brutal. Special shout out to Ms. Porsche and Stephanie my favs at this location.... they keep me coming back

I will admit when they first opened service was great. How fast that all has gone down hill. The customer service is horrible. The management is terrible. They are lost totally when it comes to being a team and working together. They have the worse billing system! I had a 9:00 appointment and at 9:10 my phone rings Im standing at the counter and I hear their dumb idiot emplyee leaving me a message saying Im calling to remind you of your 9:00 appointment. I wonder who trained the people at the front desk they all look clueless. They did me the best favor ever denying me of service due to the fact they claim I owe them money which they are totally wrong. I went to a real dentist and they erre happy to have my businee. I will never go back and will never recommend anyone. They need business etiquette one on one. Oh I will b e reporting them to the better business bureau.

I went a while ago(over a year) & was going on a regular basis for cleaning. I noticed how on every visit my cavity count was "growing". After a lady dentist filled my cavity I noticed the horrible amount of pain I was experiencing every time I ate something. I'd have to take pain pills. I went back a few months later to have the issue fixed along with the other cavities. They then said I'd have to pay cash because of an insurance issue so I had to choose a tooth. After I chose, a dentist came & looked confused asking the hygienist for advice. I got a horrible feeling after that (why would he be whispering questions to an assistant?). I was then left in the chair for over an hour(after I was shot with the numbing medicine). I got a bad feeling & ran out of there. All this to say, it took me over another year to find another dentist. Come to find out..... I only had ONE CAVITY! They filled it & my pain is gone!

The WORST. Went there off a referal. Got there service was quick. They told me my mouth gaurd would be ready in 1-2 weeks that was Feb 7. Its now the last week in March no calls from them. I called several times the phone just rings. So I stop pass they said it was there but hasn't been processed yet they will call me. No call. I called back a couple days later. Ebony said o it snowjed so were behind try back. My thought, well UPS, USPS, FedEx, all run when it snows. I will be calling my insurance Co. Soon...there service sucks. Give me what u charge me for. I won't come back! BELIEVE THAT... next time I will reead ratings. WORST. NOBODY EVER!!!!!!! I MEAN EVER ANSWERS the phone .U must go there to get ur question answered..

This place is unorganized they lost my daughter chart I sat in the waiting room for a hour and 45 minutes they have you waiting on hold for hours waiting to speak with a manager they have more people in dental school working there one woman who was a student was cleaning my daughter's braces and they began to bleed as my daughter was saying what are you doing? It hurts. This place is not a professional setting get some real people in there who know what there doing and it won't be no issue

If I was able to give them 0 stars I would because I went in on Friday last week because my teeth on my left side were hurting and I had met a young lady who recommended this place because I had a bad experiences last year with a dentist and was having trouble trusting afterwards. On Friday my teeth were cleaned and when I got home my teeth were bleeding really bad for hours and when I called the office to see how I should handle it there voice mail was full and no emergency number so I ended up in the hospital because the bleeding won't stop. And I later relieved that also one of my teeth had been broken during the cleaning and I was sent out without her telling me anything. Monday I went into the office and spoke with the manager who said the doctor was not there and she would have him call me on Tuesday and 4 pm I hadn't heard anything so I called they to be put on hold for 20 minutes and someone picked up and took my number saying they were having a meeting to discuss my situation and will call me back and the sad thing is that it's Friday and no one has contacted me at all

Went on Friday to see if they take my insurance. After confirming they dio I made appt for me daughter and my wife. That following Sunday they called to confirm my appt for Monday. Not bad they working on a Sunday to confirm appointments. Monday, the day of our appt they tell my daughter they do not take our insurance. After making a copy of my insurance card and confirming our appointments they wait until we actually came in for the appt to mention they do not take or insurance. What happened to a phone call before we walk in the door. Not even 1 star...

I have left voicemail and filled out the online request for to no avail or response. My conclusion is that this office is not interested in obtaining new patients if this is the service we are being provided.
