Both my sons (8 year old and 18 month old) have gone to Kids Super Smile for the last 6 months. The atmosphere is great for children. In the waiting room they have toys and tablets to entertain the children. There are movies playing in every room for the kids while they're having their exam. This worked great to keep my 18 month old still while his exam. My 8 year old had work done on a few cavities on his first visit. When I told him had to go back to finish the work on the other side of his month at a later time he was happy to go back. Overall, the staff was attentive and cared about both my sons' experiences and the care of their teeth. I would highly recommend Kids Super Smile (Pediatrics Dentistry) to everyone.

Dr.Jenkins was great with my boys, good sense of humor, and made them all comfortable. He was also super accommodating, and put sealants on my kid's molars same day so we wouldn't have to make a separate appointment.

They are the BEST! We had been to several pediatric dentists and my son was getting more and more anxious. We came here and it was hard to believe he ever had an issue. Dr. Tan is fantastic. We recently had a filling pop out and they office staff worked with me to get him in quickly. I was wondering how he would do with a different dentist, but Dr. Jenkins was also awesome and fixed his tooth as good as new. I rarely give reviews but so thankful for these guys!

I wanted to write a quick review to counter some of the things said in the negative reviews. I literally just got back from a visit where my son had his first cavity filled. He's a pretty normal kid, but he's got some sensory issues, so I didn't know how it was going to go. They gave me the choice to be in the room with him or sit in the waiting area. I took the waiting area. Well, when he got the numbing shots, he became very distressed, knocking tools away, taking his gas mask off, screaming, etc. However, she was very patient with him the whole time and tried to make him as comfortable as possible. They came and got me when he seemed inconsolable. Even with me there, he continued to have problems. She asked my permission to keep on going, giving me the choice to stop the procedure if I thought it was too much for him. Somehow, she was able to calm him down and finish the procedure. The point here is that she handled what could have been a very bad situation calmly and professionally. My son even admitted afterwards that it wasn't as bad as he thought it was going to be, and that he thought he would be more brave next time.

Toys and tablets in the waiting room, but we never waited long enough for my girls to use them. Movies for the kids while they get treatment, funny sun glasses for the bright lights. Staff is very friendly and engage with the kids. You get a new toothbrush and travel size toothpaste, floss and a sticker when you're done. And a coin to use in a machine in the waiting area with a small toy (like a gum ball machine). My only concern is, should we have to change dentist cause of a move, my kids will expect all these goodies!

My children ages 13 and 9 have been seeing Dr. Pareja since they were 2 1/2 years old. We have had nothing but good experiences and kindness from her office. Whenever someone asks me for a dentist I always mention her. In all these years, cavity in one kid, the other one: none. We go regularly every 6 months. We have had extractions as part of our orthodontic treatment (Dr. Parks) and gone to Dr. Pareja to have it done, as always: Great job. People talk about $, it is my responsibility as a consumer to be aware of my benefits, if you pay low insurance rates you will get higher deductibles,( that is your choice and the rule of the game, not the providers fault). Some of these negative comments are hard to believe, it makes you wonder...

I took my 3 children here for the first time (ages 8 years old (twins) and 1 year old. It was a WONDERFUL experience for myself and my children. From the moment we walked in to the moment we left, the staff was friendly, engaging and informative. I can't say enough good things about this dentist! My 3 year old autistic son is a patient here (some children with autism have sensory issues). The dentist and the staff have been great with him. They all are very patient, caring, and understanding with his needs. He is not a biter but he cries/screams and moves around the entire time his teeth are being cleaned but the dentist keeps doing her job with a kind heart. On a side note, they give each child a coin at the end of each visit (even if the child cries during the service) to get a toy out of the machine and they give out complimentary toothbrushes and tooth paste. I am so happy with this place and I hold heartedly recommend!

I took my son in because he had a tooth that was coming out in a very weird position that was causing him discomfort. Dr Tan and his assistant was very welcoming and explained what was going on and that the tooth had to be extracted. They were so gentle with my son that I was in the room and did not even realize that the tooth was out, nor did my son. I will definitely recommend them to my friends!!!

This dentist office is really great for the kids. When I tell my 5 year old he's going to the dentist (and he's had to go often in the last month or so) he says "Yay!" They're friendly - every single staff member - and they seem to really be mindful of the fact that they're dealing with children. Even the simple act of making sure that any scary looking tools are handled out of view of the children, I think that shows a lot about their approach. I highly recommend this health care provider.

I have used Dr. Goldsmith as my pediatric dentist for all three of my children over the past 20+ years (since my two youngest were 1 year old). Hands down, this is the best pediatric dentist around. He and his team are personable, professional, always on schedule, flexible and he does fantastic work. I visited the new location in Laurel, MD, and I love it. The waiting area is bright and happy, and there are lots of books, toys, and videos for the children to enjoy while waiting there turn. The staff was friendly and helpful to our needs, and now my son loves coming to the dentist. They also have t-shirts and adorable goodie bags for the children at the end of their visit with the dentist.

I love taking my kids to KSS and to see Dr. Pareja. The office is very kid-friendly, clean and beautiful. The newly added Ipads in the waiting rooms make waiting a lot easier because the kids can play and not concentrate on seeing the dentist. Not that they are scared at all (at least my kids) because the staff is very gently and explain everything to the children. Dr. Pareja's gentle smile also make them feel at ease. My 6 year old daughter had to have 4 teeth pulled and I was amazed about how calm she was. This is a great dental practice!!!!

Pro: This place is kids friendly, and the staff are great! My kids love going here. Con: Like many people have stated, be very careful when you are dealing with their billings...Keep all your receipts, and review quote(s), sign and keep them for few years, prior to allowing them to perform services on your kids. As soon as you received Statement of Benefits from your insurance company, compare what you are agreed to on the quote(s) vs what they billed insurance company. You may end up owe them more money before you know it. I do not trust their billing department, PERIOD.

Office, care and attention were all great - problem lies exclusively with billing. You need to pay for everything up front - they pass the onus of billing and dealing with insurance companies onto the patients. That's why we changed practices and won't return. This is only made known at the end of the visit "by the way - you'll need to pay us 400 or 500 and mail in some forms". What about people that are on a tight budget? It's not my responsibility to cash flow your business. Everything else way fine, which is why the archaic billing practices surprised me.

Our daughter has been a patient of Kids Super Smile for about four years. She has been terrified of dental visits but due to the supportive nature of Dr. Pareja and her staff she has slowly learned that it isn't scary to visit the dentist. We recently moved here and were in need of a pediatric Dentist. Based on others reviews, I decided to give them a try. I was not disappointed at all. I have 5 children so we quickly filled up the waiting room. Though, there was not much wait time. The hygienist were wonderful. They spoke to my children through the whole process and thoroughly explained the Who, what, when, where, why. It was perfect. The Dentist was great and carefully listened to my concerns. I definite commend this dental practice to anyone with children.

This dentist office and the staff here are a hidden gem here in Columbia. From the 1st phone call to get an emergency appointment. To a treatment plan to the surgery for my son was easy and amazing. Dr. Jenkins is awesome caring and kind. Robyn was amazing with her beautiful personality is just made my baby relax the 1st visit. When we can back for his treatment they all remembered us and were warm and inviting. Mac was our assistant on the day of the treatment she stayed with my son the entire time never left room. Made sure he was good and comfortable.Please DO NOT take this practice for granted. This dentistry is so wonderfully staffed from the front desk to the dentist to the assistants. I have never ever felt this welcomed in any doctors office as my child and I did. I am so grateful each and every member of the staff. They truly have a gift. So please don't disservice your child and yourself. Make an appointment today.

My son is 8 years old and he has autism, we tried to get his teeth cleaned twice before at a different dentist but it didn’t work. We had a great experience at this place. Hygienist and the dentist were really flexible with him. He got up and walked around couple of times but then he sat back down and complete the whole cleaning session. I was so happy and he was too.

My 7-year-old daughter has terrible anxiety about the dentist, and we've been going to Kids Super Smile for about 2 years. Every time we go, they take an extra step with her, but always let her be "in control." Dr. Tan and Keisha (sorry if I spelled it wrong) are AWESOME - so patient and understanding. It may be a long time until we get up to actual sealants or x-rays, but they always tell her what a great job she's doing and I think it will continue to get better every time. I can't thank the staff enough for their kindness and patience. Highly recommend!

The staff is super friendly and there is so much interaction during the process, that you never feel lost in the care process. If anything, my kids absolutely love the experience. She said "Ma'am we are ready to close so you have to call back Monday". I'm in Shock I cant believe that a dental office cant provide you information by phone just because you call 20 minutes before they close. Please Management department you have to make sure your employees have the proper training for customer service.

I surprise people gave this doctor 5 stars. My experience with this Doctor was too much of a business not about the kids. I took my 3 years old there for 6 months routine and Dr. Pareja said my daughter has 4 cavities. I brush my child twice a day and before bed time, how could she gets that many cavities. Well, my assumption might be wrong. But the doctor found my child has cavities almost every single times she visit the doctor for her routine check up. So, the doctor suggest my daughter take the X-ray, filling, and sealant. Well, as a worry parent like me I let Dr. Pareja did the X-ray, filling, and even the sealant. It was too much for a little three years old and she had a big cut on her inner cheek. The cut developed ulcer and it last for 10 days. Such horrible experience and painful on my child. Then, when the follow up time, the office email and ask me to confirm the appointment. I didn't confirm the appointment. A few days later, I got a letter in the mail stated my daughter missed the appointment and they charged me $50 for missed the appointment. Really ?

I took my 3 children for their semi-annual check up yesterday and we had a terrific experience! All 3 kids were treated at the same time by the friendly technicians. Each child had a cleaning, x-rays, and dental exam within 45 minutes. The kids love it here, everyone leaves with a goody bag including brush, floss, and paste. They get to pick a prize from the treasure chest as well. I am grateful for the Columbia Dentistry for Children office providing my children a positive experience with dental health. The group is very accommodating with scheduling appointments, reminders, and developing treatment plans. I always know ahead of time what additional procedures will cost after insurance so there are no surprises. I highly recommend this practice for parents looking to get their kids off to a good start with caring for their dental health.

Dental service is excellent but their billing service is sub par. On two separate occasions I've encountered problems. 1st they billed my insurance using an outdated insurance information and 2nd instance I received a bill 1.5 years later which they shrugged of has a computer glitch......

My child has gone to Dr. Pareja for about 8 years. Dr. Pareja and all of her hygienists are awesome!! I never had an issue with Billing until recently and the front desk staff is not thorough before they answer questions. I have been receiving email reminders to schedule an appointment. I call in today and was told my child was just there last month. Which is incorrect only to be told she had someone else's chart still open. The Billing department recently billed our old dental insurance that we haven't had for two years. I think it is a lot of miscommunication and opportunity for better staff training at the office. I would never have thought I would be looking for another dentist for my child but I may have to start searching soon. Even the replies to these reviews are not the most professional they seem defensive. Hope Dr. Pareja looks at the reviews and sees where she can improve her office staff. The days of Eva and Michelle are really missed with our family.

All the special touches made my daughters first time experience extra special. I was referred by a good friend to see Dr. Tan. The office is conveniently located with ample parking. My daughters name were written on a blackboard outside the door. My 3 yr old daughter saw her name and felt special. I definitely felt that the staff and Dr. Tan really cared for helping children. Dr. Tan was thorough, informative, and patience. My oldest daughter had a minor cavity and he did not push me to have it fill. He recommended that we just continue to brush that area better. This is important because some places will push you to fix minor cavities just to make some money. Dr. Tan made the extra efforts to walk and play with my daughters. Trust is important when you are dealing with children who can not communicate clearly their needs yet, so I was truly appreciative that he took the extra time to build this trust.

As a dentist Dr Tan is fine no complaints. But as a pediatric dentist, knowing how to handle children’s anxieties about going to a dentist especially when child is already in pain is a must. And he lacks that. He asked me in front of my son if I’ve gotten him therapy. As a result of the experience, we will be searching for a new dentist. Again, as a dentist he’s fine and he’s nice. But he doesn’t know how to handle kids who don’t deal with dentists well.
