I've been going to College Park Dental for years.... well over a decade (back when it was Brager and Ziomeck) and through several insurance policy changes, I've kept them. I've had crowns, fillings and cleanings. Their location is convenient, being close enough to the College Park metro station. Someone mentioned a 'used car saleman like gig' yes, I have encountered that in my years there, but you have to be good and strong about saying no. So if you're a pushover, you'd probably not like them. Why do I keep going to them? Why did I recommend them to my aunt? I like them.

There is no doubt that I will never be back at this dentist again. I made an appointment. They canceled on me. I let it go, made a follow up appointment. They canceled that one too. Then I tried a third time and one of their associates did such a poor job on a cracked tooth. I asked for restitution from another dentist at their site. This particular female dentist's attitude was horrible and atrocious. She looked at and treated me like trash for daring to ask for restitution. They offered the last dentist. Really? In no way would allow someone else to mess me up further. Classic...never never again...

I'm shocked to say that I enjoyed a dentist appointment (despite the unpleasant tooth scraping) but absolutely everyone I interacted with their was so nice, professional, helpful and best of all they didn't waste my time. Every great leader has a great team and Sue, Mary and Kim have helped me with financial solutions - equally important as the treatment. Bernard, Theresa and newer assistants have provided that personal touch that puts me at ease when I’m in the chair, Drs. Bimani, Tawary, have also done special work on my two sons. Good for emergency work. If you know what your problem is. Always do your research when any work is done on your tooth. Dr Maji is who you want to see if you choose to go here. That guy is the highlight of this office. So I gave 4 stars for this review. For him. The receptionist should be train. Not to ask a bunch of questions to people that are in pain. Thats common sense. If the receptionist understand bill coding. Then they would have enough sense to know this individual. Just had a procedure done. Let me take their payment and get them out of there. Without ask a person 50 different irrelevant questions.

For years I've been frightened to go to the dentist, so I put it off as long as I could. Then I needed dental work and had to bite the bullet and make the call. I called someone close to home, relayed what a coward I was so they put me with Dr. Brager, and for the first time in my 69 years I don't dread going to the dentist. Everything he does is just right, it's completed, I feel great and he always pats my cheek. Such a small thing but what a comfort. The staff is so friendly and adept at their jobs. After much back and forth as to whether my insurance was active, the day before. They still told me to come to my 6:50 AM appt the next day. When i got here a woman at the first desk today me they dont take my kind of insurance. The 3 people i spoke to yesterday couldnt tell me that?!?!?!? I had to drive all the way from Glenarden with a toddler and make a 650 appt just to be told that. Dont go to this place if you want to be treated with any kind of respect!!! This is my second time having an issue here and im done with this place and these people. The absolute worst!!

My husband and I have been going to College Park Dental since 1990. Later in life I wanted someone to take a look at my children's teeth and Dr. Majid Haghighiyan agreed to see them. Since 2003 the whole family have been going to him and we are very pleased with his service. Always giving good advice to maintain the teeth healthy. The treatment he renders is very thorough and of extreme quality. Dr. Majid takes his time to explain any condition that may come up and gives you preventive measures. Terrible, stay away from this dental office! Their logic is to max-out what the insurance can pay them, even though it is unnecessary for your teeth health. Everything done to your teeth has impact/side effect, hence not all procedure is necessary, although the insurance will pay. They are doing business as oppose to dental-health service.

I have been to this office twice so far and the experiences were painless and caring .The first was my initial member activities screening , x-rays and cleaning.The second was an extraction. My dental hygienist Imani and dentist Dr. Bemani were both knowledgeable and quick in their duties. Dr. Bemani asked me lots of questions as I was a new patient. The space wasn't as modern as I'm used to, but it didn't take away from the level of care I'm used to. The wait to check out after the appointment was a bit lengthy. Also the parking lot was hectic because there was construction. They had up to date magazines in the lobby. I am editing my review as of 1/26/15 from the previous one in November due to a lack of organization on the part of the administrative team. As a new patient the office did not request any pervious records or ask if I had any. During the appointment they did two sets of x-ray exams. Unbeknownst to me one x-ray exam I had previously, so when they tried to bill for it, the insurance sent it back. I had to pay $67 for a x-ray I already have in my dental records. I told the billing specialist they need to tell new patients to give them their former dental records. She said they do tell patients that. I let her know no one told me. She apologized, but I don't care but I still am out of $67.

This is the worst experience I have ever had with a medical professional. I made a next day appointment for tooth pain. I came in 5 minutes early and waited over an hour with people coming in after me and going in. After half an hour I went to the desk to ask if there was something I needed to do to be seen and they then decided to tell me they had just called to get my insurance verified. AFTER I had come in for my appointment and they were waiting on that. Completely unprofessional. I finally made it back and the dentist was really nice and professional.

Last visit, I gave new card, waited about 20 minutes, got called back before getting insurance card back, got cleaning and x-rays done, and they conveniently waited until it was time for me to pay to inform me that my insurance did not officially kick in until 2 days later. Tried charging me $150 more than it should have. Ya, that didn't happen

The office is very effective with appointment reminders, I've never waited more than 10 minutes in the waiting room, the staff are pleasant, and Dr. Huong is the BEST. She's patient, gentle, explains things very clearly, and is HONEST about various procedures and the potential cost benefit (or loss) of getting certain cosmetic procedures. I haven't had any issues with the dental assistants either. I've referred College Park Dental to my mother-in-law and best friend and would refer them to anyone else who's looking for a dentist!

I had a lot of work to be done. The dental assistant in my room, Becca, was amazing. She continuously checked on me to make sure I was doing alright, and very much helped me through the anxiety I always get when I go to the doctor. Even though the lead dentist was not always polite to her, she was incredible and handled everything with grace and always replied to him with the utmost respect. I was very grateful to have her in the room during my appointment.

My dentist probed my gums to establish sensitive areas. Then, she apparently *deliberately* shot icy cold water exactly in those spots till I screamed. The rest of my teeth were not cleaned; I still had tartar accumulation in non-sensitive areas. This all, apparently, was so the dentist could push a mouth guard... because she claimed my gum sensitivity was caused by teeth grinding (it's not). I was literally tortured so a non-solution, that just happens to be high profit margin, could be pushed on me. When I said I have a mouth guard, and asked about other options for gum health, this dentist acted like I didn't speak. I was completely ignored. Then, she then recommended that I get two healthy incisors extracted due to non-problematic hairline fractures... that I've had for over 20 years. When I asked about dark, soft spots on my molar surfaces, you know, potential decay, she got extremely defensive and screeched, "Do your molars hurt??? No??? Then there's no need to drill!" But yet the high dollar incisor replacement... Total scam artists. Stay away if you want actual dental care. Or go here if you want to develop a dentist phobia. I've been too scared to seek dental care since.

I have been a patient with College Park Dental for 20 years. Even though I moved to another county for work, I still drive back to College Park for my dentist. Dr. Majid is my dentist there and he is excellent! He treats me more like a good friend than merely a patient. Recently, he discovered a potentially serious problem and referred me to a specialist. If he had not carefully studied my X-rays and caught it in time, I could well have had very serious medical problems later on. The office staff are fabulous people, too, who are most friendly and try to find ways to assist regarding expensive procedures. I could not ask for a better dental practice!!!

This is long-winded but worth the read: I have been a patient since 2011 and initially I was seen by a dentist practice that I didnt particularly care for. OK-Lets say I left a practice in Forestville that was ULTRA ghetto and hood- where the dentist stopped working on my mouth one time to leave me and consult with another patient- what in the world...???? WHO DOES THAT? He wasnt truthful about HOW MUCH Dental Work in was in for. I was livid to say the least. So, I quickly searched for another dentist- I left there, found College Park dental and arrived to work with a dentist that was snooty. She didnt have the greatest customer service and empathy that I was looking for, but she was honest about all of the dental work that I needed. Prior to coming there in 2011, I didnt have dental insurance so naturally I needed lots of work. Needless to say I continued going until I progressed in my treatment plan and one day this particular dentist no longer worked there. (so happy was I !!!!!! ) I begin to see Dr. Brager (he's the oldest dentist there I believe and he is part owner I think?) Any ways I enjoyed his no-nonsense honesty and humor- kinda sarcastic but oh well. I mentioned this because there are several dentists to choose from and they have specialists there. I had a root canal done there by the endodondist and he did a good job- no issues almost 4 years later. So check them out and always ask for a specialist depending on your dental needs and situation. They can handle that. Oh and last but not least- they work with your budget. They allowed me to pay later and I honored my payment plan so dont take advantage if they work with you. Be resspectful and upfront. They have a flexible hours in the morning- I had to go around 6:30am before work one morning and some doctors arent as flexible but the best dentist that I have so far is Dr. Tiwari and she has the BEST attitude- she is patient, gentle, honest, caring and kind. No nastiness or rudeness that I have experienced like you just another number or patient. I would give rating this a 5 star - but nothing is perfect and there is a crass-kinda-rude lady in billing when you check out and pay your copay but she doesnt matter as long as my teeth look good. :)

I never like going to the dentist and always made sure I flossed and brushed correctly but I notice my front tooth was getting alittle dark, I called College Park Dental and spoke to Sue, she was very professional. I was given advice by Dr.Brager, Dr.Hoang and Dr.Majid, all of the dentist agreed It would be best to get veneers. Thanks to College Park Dental I now have a perfect smile!!!!!

Absolutely, would give zero stars. I went in for a ROUTINE CLEANING, which under my insurance is fully paid for biannually. However, when I went into express this to the front office and to the dentist assistant and to the dentist multiple times (I was starting to get the feeling that they were not listening to me and wanted to do other stuff), they proceeded to tell me I needed this procedure and this. I was trying to be polite and say I just wanted a routine cleaning, but they then proceeded to do a full mouth debridement and other services that I made no mention of and did not want. I had trouble understanding the dentist and I knew I should have walked away and taken my service elsewhere because it was clear she didn't take into consideration what I was asking for. During the procedure she was very rough and it was actually very painful. I tried my best to trust them, but I had a sinking feeling that I was not getting the routine cleaning. In the end, I paid with my credit card, fully intent on never coming back because they never even gave me the service I required. I just wanted to cut my losses and leave. I even checked with my insurance afterwards and sure enough, it was never covered because it was not routine and I would be responsible for paying part of it. Today I received a bill IN ADDITION and now will have to pay for the service that should have been covered under my insurance completely but because my insurance covered part of it, I would be responsible for the rest. Last time I checked it doesn't take over >$200 total for a routine cleaning, (I paid at the time of the service and then later was billed for the rest for whatever the insurance didn't cover). I am never going back and I fully intend to call the billing office to confirm if I am interpreting the bill correctly, but they honestly seemed like they just wanted to squeeze every dollar out of me. I still haven't gotten my routine cleaning and will have to go elsewhere to do that. In essence, it was a colossal waste of time. Spent money on a service that I didn't ask for and still have to go for a routine cleaning. I am very very disappointed in them and their service, where I think they didn't quite understand what I wanted. The front office lady and the billing woman were accommodating and nice, so no issues at all with their service. It was just the dentist and her assistant that I had an issue with.

Everyone is terrific and they explain everything, your options and costs, and work with you to be happy. I enjoy going to see my dentist and have been with them for just under 18 years. Please don't retire until I do.... Dr braeger!

Beware! Check any statements you get very thoroughly - they added on hidden fees and fees for things I didn't even get done. They didn't even apologize or own up to their mistake of overcharging a patient. What regular visit costs 500 dollars?? - took so long to "fix" deal with this and now I have to call back AGAIN for continued payments errors on their part.

I have been going to Dr. Brager for numerous years; he is truly the best dentist in the state of Maryland. His knowledge far exceeds anyone’s in the field. His caring for my gums and teeth has allowed me good health through the years. I would also like to acknowledge his 3 assistants (Theresa, Bernard and Melissa) who always make me feel welcome and provide good care to me while in the ‘chair’. In reference to the office staff, they are very helpful: Sue (office manager) always greets me by name and asks how I am doing; Kimbrlie (accounts payable) is extremely knowledgeable and assists me every time before I exit the office, leaving me with the feeling I just got done talking to an old friend ‘even though I am paying a bill’; and last but not least Esa (who handles my appointments and reminders) is very professional and kind. I would truly recommend Dr. Brager to anyone that is looking for a new dentist. You have tried the rest and GO TO THE BEST!~

I've had service at college park dental numerous time and all my experiences has been awesome. Dr. Bragger is phenomenal in making you feel comfortable and relaxed during your visit and procedures. He's also a honest and reliable Dr. The front office is also pleasurable. Ms. Jackie H helped me yesterday and she was very helpful and nice. She advised me on different options pertaining to my insurance benefits; again she was very helpful and nice lady.

Love the dentists and the assistants. Office staff is pleasant and great at helping with the financial arrangements, but we've been left sitting for a very long time more than once when the front desk doesn't communicate with the back that we're waiting! That's the only compliant, and we have lots of good things to say about the care we receive. We'll keep going here.
