Front desk staff are rude, run the office (2), have no training and often times give patients diagnosis without dentist knowledge. The office has a high turnover rate due to complaints of unethical practices and extreme daily patient schedules.

I am rating the office as a former staff member. The office is very disorganized the doctor does frequent free treatment for fellow raced patients as well as let them just walk off the street to be seen before patients that have waited in the waiting room for a long period of time. Dr. Achickeh doesn’t value his staff he will let you know 20mins before your shift that he doesn’t want you to work because he doesn’t have enough patients scheduled. This has happened to me as well as a hygienist. Mind you I am a full time employee. This man has texted me everyday for the past week and a half informing me not to come in. I have asked for a proper termination now twice but have yet to receive one. This man seems friendly but he is not, he is very cruel and cold hearted. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to work for him!

This is the level of attention I appreciate from my doctors office. UPDATE: SuSu (Dental Hygienist) is a cleaning wizard! I cannot believe how well she cleaned the hell out of my teeth! I mean it looked like I got them whitened. It was such a nice welcome to have a hygienist give me a proper oral exam before proceeding to clean my teeth. Proper attention to detail was paid, she even spotted some concerns and gave recommendations and brought them to the dentist for consultation with me afterwards. She went to town on my mouth! I was thoroughly satisfied with her skills and service. Good service deserves praise and acknowledgment. She's a keeper. It was worth the 20 minute wait!

I went to visit this dental office a couple months back with my children and was very disappointed. I've been going to this office for years now and I personally really liked doctor Achikeh, which is why I always returned. He is so good with kids. But this last time I went was a complete shocker with the new assistant (short, tan skin- seems of hispanic race, curly long red- brown hair, has a bit of a tooth gap between the front two teeth), she was extremely rude to me and my whole family and it did not seem like she had a clue what she was doing. She was very unprofessional with her composure, attitude and the way she spoke with everyone. She did not make us feel welcome at all and for this reason we may not return again. My kids should not be subjected to that kind of treatment.

My experience at City Place Dental was positive. I stopped by the office to make an appointment for my 6 month clean and polish and was lucky enough to be fitted into a late afternoon appointment (Friday, 03/31) because of a cancellation. In addition to the clean and polish, I had an x-ray that confirmed that a previous filling had fallen out and the tooth was chipped.The dental hygienist was pleasant and exhibited a high level of proficiency not only in the clean and polish, but providing advise and guidance on flossing and general dental care. After the clean and polish, I was given an appointment to come back on Monday, 04/03) to have the dentist to repair the chipped tooth/filling. The entire staff (hygienist, assistants, office staff, and of course the dentist) were all pleasant, engaging, and professional in their interactions with me. I always sense that there is a high level of competency coupled with a feeling of caring and a positive spirit. I am not only comfortable with my interactions with the staff as professionals in the field of dentistry, but I place a high regard and pay very close attention to overall cleanliness of this office...the equipment and hygiene habits (washing hands, change of gloves, etc.) of those serving me. City Place Dental passes my cleanliness test with high marks. Yes, I would and have recommended friends and family to City Place Dentist.

Ultimate Professional Dental Clinic. Very neat and clean, well equipped and located in a scenic downtown Silver Spring MD. Practice is very professional and personal. It took about an hour to walk in for my first visit, fill my forms, urshered unto a dental chair, examined and the bad tooth located and removed in less than 10 minutes. The DDS explained cause of the bad tooth, and instructed on post surgery healing routines, and also to make appointment for future examination and cleaning of dentition. City Place Dental definitely deserves a 5 Star rating. The view of a busy downtown road junction while on a dental chair is a great relief from the anxieties and fear of dental treatment. Great Practice location.

Great group of folks! I was in town visiting family and broke a tooth. They got me in on a SUNDAY! Dr. Wilson and Dr. Kingsley were thorough, professional, and kind -- all the support staff were great, even with a nervous patient like me. Because I don't have dental insurance, they gave a cash discount which helped with the cost (dental care is not cheap in the U.S.). So, this was an expensive, but necessary visit. The crown I needed was fitted well and all of the prep work done on the first visit, so when I came back setting the crown was quick and painless. Highly recommend!

When we first moved to the area, we went here and I was satisfied but we quickly moved again to a different part of town. After trying another practice, I am now doing the longer drive to come back to City Place Dental. The other practice recommended all sorts of work get done to my teeth and here, to quote Dr. Achikeh, "let's let sleeping dogs lie." None of the extra work was advised. It is nice to know that the dental recommendations are honest and not an attempt to get more business. They were great with my son who was 5 for his first visit and 6 for his second. My son did horribly at the other practice.

Dr. Kingsley is by far the best dentist EVER! I've been seeing him since the mid 90's. I live at least 60 miles away from City Place but would never go any place else. I say it often... I'd follow him to Egypt if He practiced over there. I am the worst patient anyone could have and He treats me as if I am the best. He calls me after a procedure to see how I am doing... They call me for my Birthday ever year!!!! The customer service and follow up is like no other! I often talk about how I am treated and their "Superior" customer service in the trainings I conduct for the company I work at. I've been going to City Place Dental for nearly four years, even though I moved to Alexandria and later to downtown D.C. and there are plenty of closer places I could go too. It's difficult to find a dentist you trust! They've never tried to get me to do anything I didn't want to. The dentist I went to prior to CPD told me I had four cavities (after feeling no pain or sensitivity). I had never had cavities, so I had them filled. My dentist at City Place saw the fillings on my first visit and told me he didn't think I even needed them. I trust that they will help me keep my teeth and gums healthy without prescribing additional things to make money. Oh and they have Saturday hours. Highly recommend!

I had a root canal done and it didn't work. I still had to pay a 1K bill even though it didn't work and he wanted to charge me more for a repeat. I received a message from the dental office to remove this review. I will not unless they change my bill. It is true my husband did not have a root canal, but several other caps and various endodontic work. The caps fell off and he had to have to work re-done. This office would not re-do their poor work. The work was re-done at another office, which fixed his problems.

Dr. Kingsley Achikeh is the best dentist I've ever seen by leaps and bounds. He and his staff are caring and do everything they can to make sure you're comfortable. This is also the first dentist that I haven't felt like I was being over charged or ripped off! I recommend them to everyone in the area!!

I have had nothing but a terrible experience at this dental office. I moved to silver spring about 1 year ago and I found City Place Dental. From all the good reviews I figured I could trust them but each time I have gone it has been very unprofessional . The first time I felt unhappy with their service I thought to still give them a second chance. The second time was worst than the first. I spoke to the Doctor to let him know why i was unsatisfied and he asked me to come by again and he would re do my services and work on what i needed himself. I agreed and gave them a 3rd chance. When i went back the big lady at the front desk was very rude and didnt allow me to even ask a question before i was seen. She quickly said "sit down we know you are here." I was then waiting for up to 45 min and still had not been seen to get the service I was scheduled for. I decided it was best to leave because I didnt have time to wait any longer and I feel like with the good insurance I have i can get better customer service and treatment elsewhere. There are plenty of dental offices around.
