I started going to this Dentist when my son was 6 weeks old and needed a lip and tongue tie. Dr. k was great. My son is now 2 and I’m taking my business else where. This business has continued to decline. I have driven an hour just to find out my appt was scheduled wrong. It has happen to many times. My experience today was sitting in a dirty waiting room that feels more like a garage sale or nasty living room than a professional office. I was greeted by No one and had to report that I was here for a 330 appt. It was now 350ish. At an hour I was still not seen for my appt. I understand that stuff happens but my time is valuable too. It happens every time. The staff is unfriendly and disorganized. They won’t care that they no longer have my business but I needed to share my frustration.

ABSOLUTELY DO NOT COME HERE! DONT PICK UP THE PHONE OR WALK IN! Even if you did they’re not taking new patients for who knows how long...every time I call they don’t even take an application they just say they’re not taking any new patients...my friend hasn’t been there in 3 years and just got a claim in the mail saying she owes $400. Thank god they’re not taking new patients or I might have come here and then been told I owe them hundreds of dollars even though my kid would just be getting a cleaning , and my kid would be seen by someone who can’t even respect their employees or keep them longer than a couple months, every time I walk in there’s new faces...I can’t even imagine the stress the employees are under...Makes me wonder what the dentist is doing wrong she can’t keep her employees happy obviously. DO NOT BRING YOUR CHILDREN HERE. From what I’ve seen this place can’t stay open for much longer, if they keep billing people for money they don’t owe they’re going to lose their patients. I want to give 0 stars but sadly that isn’t an option.

I had a negative experience with this office. The first person that took us back to the room did not introduce herself and when dr k came in she took a look in my child’s mouth and said he had decay on every top tooth. She took no history but went solely on physical exam. She did not try to educate me about S. mutans or ECC, just stated my child had a “wild fire” of bacteria in his mouth rotting all of his teeth. Since then we have had 2 dentists disagree with her diagnosis. I am very happy we decided to keep looking for another opinion as I feel my small child would have had to undergo unnecessary care (I will say she did encourage us to seek another opinion if we wanted, which I appreciated). She also wanted to hold down my less than 2 year old to do a cleaning when no other dentist has felt this was necessary. I absolutely would not recommend this office.

Dr. K is the best pediatric dentist ever! I was worried how my daughter would do with the 1st time going to the dentist, but Dr. K was so patient and worked with her. Now my child looks forward to going. Love this place.

This place is terrible it give Severna Park a bad name. They fleece parents whom they believe have money and dismiss you when you have concerns as “the going rate”. They pulled two of my sons baby teeth to tune of $846 which we had to pay out of pocket almost $500 on the day of the visit. They did not even clean his teeth, said their power was out. Soughtgate dental charges me $214 for a lower teeth bar, two crowns and 4 sealants WITH sedation. Save yourself hundreds of dollars and go elsewhere. Read others comments and you’ll see the billing department is a joke, the dentists and assistants are rude, and they traumatized my son. Their idea of sedation is a little cup of fluid, the kids are not monitored by anyone besides the dentist who is doing the dental work. Do NOT BELIEVE THEM they ARE NOT THE CHEAPEST and they are NOT the best quality.

We had to wait 45 minutes to an hour to see the dentist after the hygienist was done. That is a long time for a 2 year old. The even worse thing was that the front desk told me they accepted my insurance and then sent me a bill for the full payment. When I called to inquire about the bill, no one got back to me. I called again 2 weeks later and asked how they could see my daughter and bill me for the full charges if they did not when they must have known they did not take our insurance after I gave them my insurance card. The person I spoke to replied, "Well, we checked to see if your insurance was active." Whether my insurance is active or not is irrelevant if a practice does not take my insurance! I really felt cheated.

Dr. K has always been nice and professional. However, there seems to be overbooking issues and the front desk is so unorganized. Billing is not the best but it has improved. I'm a tad annoyed that additional services were conducted without letting me know first. My kids' health is always a priority, but I would have appreciated a conversation before extra treatment was performed. Wait times are ridiculous even if you show up early or on time. The hygienist that attended to my kids was awesome. She educated my kids on best practices and dental care.

I've never had any doctor or dentist make my three little ones feel so comfortable in their chair. Dr. K has an amazing way with kids. Embarrassed to admit but mine have had multiple cavities. Between the kidzbop music and Dr K's inquisitive questions throughout, the kids barely know they're getting treated!

Wish I could give this office 6 stars. After a terrible first dentist visit at another office, I booked an appointment here for a second opinion for my 15 month old son. Dr. Kay was kind, compassionate, knowledgeable and patient. She answered all my questions and came up with an easy to understand plan of care for my sons night nursing induced front tooth decay. Highly recommended this office if you have a little one with dental concerns. Her staff was lovely as well.

So I was another victim of their billing department. I called ahead of times multiple times, they “called my insurance” gave me an estimate and boom! The numbers were outrageously out of the estimate. I understand that these are estimates, but in the other dental offices that we’ve been this has never happen. I have a great insurance but they have a crappy billing department. I read from another patients this complain and never thought It would happen to me since my insurance is so good. Well the problem is not the insurance, they bill whatever they want and change it. Be aware. Update 5/11/18- I received a call from AADC. They read my review. They seem to care about my experience. They DO acknowledge that my experiences were a consequence of a poor work from an employee that no longer works there. I explained the big picture, there is a lot to be improved and they seem to be very committed in doing it. Hopefully they’ll do and my experience will no longer be repeated.

Dr. K is fantastic with kids, and really takes the time to make sure they understand what is going to happen, and the whys. It was such a different experience than regular doctors. She talks to them like they're little adults, but kid-friendly language. The team is so friendly and accommodating. We drive out of town to go to this dentist. :)

first off, both my kids were schedule in September, and the lady called me and told me Dr. K won't make it in cause of family emergency and she had to reschedule them, which is fine. So she schedule them 2nd week of October after 12:30 pm. The day I came in to sign in for both my boys they told me I wasn't in their schedule, and I told them someone had reschedule me for that day, so after waiting 20 mins or so the lady that reschedule came out and told me that it was her fault she forgot to put it in the book, but had it written down elsewhere and that they cant take them in that day cause they'r booked!! OKAYY?!?! so I told her I will call and schedule another time. So basically I had my day planned for that and wasted my time because of someone else's error. luckily i only live 10 mins away not far at all. BOTH MY BOYS WILL NOT BE COMING BACK HERE AT ALL, AND THEY WILL GO ELSEWHERE!!!! One of the lady there was kind of rude anyways. I do not recommend this place if i could give it no stars i would.

Bad mommy feeling!! Made me pay for cavity fillings before even taking my daughter back. I was told she had 2, possible 3 cavities but wasn’t sure until they got in there. The front desk MADE me pay for the third beforehand because “she’ll most likely need it”! What?!? Wouldn’t let me in the room to hold my scared Childs hand, gave me multiple guilt trips for not paying $300+ extra for sedation (my child sits great!) I will NOT be going back. I don’t trust them AT ALL!

I have always had a great experience here. My kids love to come to the dentist because Dr. K and her staff make it a fun experience. I’m a mother who suffers terrible dental anxiety and walking in this office it never ever bothers me. AmaZing experience.

Multiple bad experiences here. They take it upon themselves to do work to my child without my consent. When I consent to one filling and one crown for one appointment, and they decide they want to give my child 3 crowns and 2 fillings in one day without my consent! Will never come back to this office! Then tell me when my child is crying in pain that she isn’t in pain she is only numb is ridiculous since you did 3 times more work on her than you should have in one appointment!
