Just had a great experience at Smart Dental. Usually I am terrified of the dentist office but these people made me feel right at home, which calmed my fears. They kept me informed each step of the way and I was never uncomfortable. I do have to go back and while not actually looking forward to it I am NOT scared to go. The whole staff was great...i actually went for root canal a was scared out my mind. I hate going to the dentist like really really hate but my dentist was wonderful and took great care of me. they even offered to give me a sedative to relax me. I just had my teeth clean and the hygienist was great, she was gentle and really thorough overall I had a great experience . The office is nice and clean environment! I would highly recommend anyone here.

I just wanted to start by saying Ive never had a dental experience go so smoothly.I called with some questions and the receptionist was more than willing to answer them and went above and beyond to help me in any way she could.I was there to have a wisdom tooth pulled. I havent been to the dentist in a long time, and nobody there made me feel bad for that, just suggested I come back for a cleaning. The entirety of my actual extraction took about 30 minutes, 10 waiting for numbness to set in, and the rest was a very painless extraction by a very kind and knowledgeable dentist. Felt the whole time that I was in good hands, made something super scary super simple.

I do not like the financial policies at Smart Dental. They do not tell you this when you make your first New Patient appointment, but they require you to pay a 20% down payment or give them your credit card number just to schedule a treatment appointment (i.e., you have to pay for your services before they happen/just to get the appointment scheduled). Had they been upfront about this policy when I first called and scheduled my appointment, I would have just kept shopping for a new dentist. Instead, you don't find out about it until you come in for the first New Patient appt and you fill out all your paperwork. After my routine cleaning, I needed to make an appt the following week for a replacement of old childhood fillings; I did end up getting a waiver for the 20% deposit, but later in the week the Financial Coordinator called to harass me about not having given them a down payment to schedule the appt. I told her I had approval for this and she told me that SHE should have been consulted on this, even though she was not in the office that day. Financial Coordinator was very argumentative on the phone with me even though this had been previously resolved with office personnel several days prior. She would not listen to my explanation and instead chose to talk over everything I was explaining. Additionally, it should be mentioned that the amount they gave me on the Estimate for the service was $75 higher than it should have been. My insurance covers 80% and what they were showing me exceeded the 20% that was my portion. It did not appear that they called my insurance to get all the details of my benefits. And now I need to make another appt to have 2 more old childhood fillings replaced, but I am stuck since the office is insisting that I pay in advance of the services (per their policy). So, I guess I am back in the market to find a new dentist. Sad.

I went for my first time visit today. The staff was very friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. The office itself was clean and comfortable. I was x-rayed and the problem areas were explained to me by both Amber, the hygienist, and Dr. Moore, the dentist. Issues were prioritized, helpful payment options given, and the next appointment made. I think I'm going to like it here.
